Paving The Way: Cat’s Angel Message for January 12, 2025
The year 2025 is deemed a Universal Year, with the single digit 9 (2+0+2+5=9) representing the end of a cycle. This suggests that we should mindfully release things and allow relationships, ventures, jobs, habits, etc., to reach their natural conclusion. Rather than forcing outcomes, we should let them unfold naturally, surrounding them positive energy and then releasing them. It is time to make room for new beginnings.
January Crystals:Garnet: Strength and protection. Rose Quartz: Creativity and imagination. Amethyst: Problem solving and decision making.

Today’s Message:Paving The Way
112: Winter is a time for introspection, allowing us to gain valuable knowledge and insights into who we are, who we aspire to be, and where we wish to go. By looking within and taking our findings to heart, we embark on the journey of personal growth. Introspection illuminates the pathways, making it possible to let go of old habits and beliefs. The Universe reminds us that growth is impossible if we refuse to accept the changes offered and those that are necessary. As you explore your inner workings, pay attention to recurring thoughts and ideas. The key lies in how we receive and perceive the information provided and this information will help to pave the way. Be sure to tend to the thought seeds that we planted earlier in the month.
Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Chamuel aids in the recovery in what we have lost. he can also help restore balance by revealing the underlying causes. If you feel lost or off course, he can help you regain your bearings.
Today’s Sacred Stones include:
Cavansite is a stone that aids in guiding us through life changes and assists in learning from past experiences to avoid repeating mistakes. It also helps us to retain information pertinent to our overall growth. Cavansite promotes new ideas and can be used in conjunction with the Third Eye or brow chakra.
Mahogany Obsidian. This gentle stone keeps us grounded and protects as it helps to eliminate energy blocks and helps promote growth on all levels.
Blue Quartz provides a spiritual boost by bringing hope, calming the mind, and fostering self-reliance. These combined effects promote happiness and well-being. Additionally, it cleanses the energy of our environment and supports peaceful interactions with others. Blue Quartz also enhances clarity and alleviates fear as we continue to explore. It works with both the Throat and Third Eye Chakras, helping us to speak our truth and promoting positive communication.
Blessings for a magickal day! Cat

Today’s Message:Ground-Center-Clear
1030: It’s good to have friends in high places, natural places, and even earth, air, fire and water places. No matter what we need, whether its help, healing, peace, etc., all we need to do is ask. As we get ready to close out the month of October we are being reminded of divine guidance and messages. Sometimes we shut our receptors down out of fear, anger or stress. The messages keep coming but they just pile up in the inbox and remain unopened. During these times it’s more important than ever to keep your receivers active. Take some time today to ground-center-clear. Open your connection to the Universe. Ask for what you need or simply give thanks for the blessings you have received in this cycle. This will help you to get a step up in November. Remember, your requests are always heard, and inner peace is yours for the taking.
Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Jophiel teaches us to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us. By taking the time to simply breathe and absorb “beauty” it can help open our communication lines by lowering the barriers we have put up.
The Ascended Master Maitreya teaches us that laughter and joy are an essential part of self care and creates the positive energy we need to propel us forward. It helps us to let go stress and worry, which allows the light of faith and hope to shine through. The power of laughter clears and resets or energy field by releasing tension and emotions that have been held in check. This is an important lesson on our path, if it makes your heart sing then it’s the right direction.
The Norse goddess Freya celebrates fertility, spring and new growth. She is also a goddess of fate and extends to us an invitation to use your personal magick to create. She says “Feel the pulse of earth beneath your feet and feel the sun upon your face. Draw upon them to enhance your power as you help the tides of fate to weave your destiny.”
Today’s Sacred Stones include:
Amazonite. This stone is sometimes called the stone of hope. It helps us to speak our truth with confidence and instills us with hope itself. It calms and soothes frayed nerves during times of stress and helps us to feel and embrace universal love. It works with both heart and throat chakras.
Ametrine. This stone, a combination of amethyst and citrine, helps to release blocks like negative emotional programming. It also encourages growth while helping us to explore all possibilities and find the creative solutions that are needed to make the most of the information we are given.
Pietersite (Tempest stone) helps us to work through beliefs and conditioning imposed upon us by others. It opens our intuitive connection and creates a link to a loving level of guidance. It also helps us see the truth and strengthen our will while increasing our focus of where we really want life to take us. It helps us to rid ourselves of negative energy and replaces it with calm.
Blessings for a magickal day! Cat

Wise Woman Herbal: Meeting the Soul Spirit Activities of a Burdock

There is a difference between entering into an intimate relationship with the plant and utilizing plants as nourishment, or using a plant for healing purposes. When utilizing a plant like that, we gain the effect of the specific plant but its being or soul spirit activities and its qualities are not felt or sensed by us.
Sun worship is a custom that has gone on nearly as long as mankind itself. In North America, the tribes of the Great Plains saw the sun as a manifestation of the Great Spirit. For centuries, the Sun Dance has been performed as a way to not only honor the sun, but also to bring the dancers visions. Traditionally, the Sun Dance was performed by young warriors

Daily Good: Teaching & Learning from the Heart in Troubled Times
“The current moment calls for moral ferocity. We should not sleep well at night when we know others are suffering. We need to raise our voices with clarity and channel our anger into protest and resistance. Ferocity itself, though, holds danger. Let’s not forget that some of the worst perpetrators of evil have often claimed to act in the name of the good, or God, or the national interest, or a future utopia. By claiming the moral high ground, and labeling our opponents misguided, we run the risk of doing great harm in the name of good. I suggest that we balance our moral ferocity with humility and tenderness.” Rabbi Ariel Burger, an author, artist and long-time student and friend of Elie Wiesel shares more in this timely essay.{ read more }

Today’s DIY: Kitchen Witch Makes: A Witches Ladder
In the late 1800’s in the eaves of a house in Somerset, England some strange items were discovered. They consisted of a chair, four brooms and a string of feathers. It was declared that the house had belonged to a witch as the chair was for sitting in. The brooms had been used for flying and the string of feathers was referred to as a ‘witches ladder’.

I decided I wanted to sit on the grass.

EarthSky News: Moon, Venus and Taurus March 28 and 29
These next several evenings – March 28, 29 and 30, 2020 – use the waxing crescent moon and the dazzling planet Venus to locate the constellation Taurus the Bull. The moon and Venus pop out almost immediately after sunset, lighting up the western evening twilight. Given clear skies, they’ll be hard to miss, because the moon and Venus rank as the 2nd-brightest and 3rd-brightest celestial bodies, respectively, after the sun.

A Note from the Universe
In the short run, there are two types of people who live in darkness, those who are desperate to emerge and those who are desperate to stay.
When you finally realize that part of the reason you chose this lifetime was to shine your light for the first type, you’ll stop worrying about what the second type thinks of you.

Greatness
“There is no greatness where simplicity, goodness and truth are absent.”
-Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910)
Is goodness a prerequisite for greatness? I think so. Greatness is different from power, from fame. It’s something that is not completely defined, but is instantly recognized. It cuts across lines of age, race and gender. We all have the potential for greatness.

When we think of the Divine in Nature, we think of nature’s beauty – the green earth and the white moon among the stars – but nature can be frightening as well as beautiful. Our ancestors venerated nature because they feared as well as loved it, because they knew they were totally dependent on something more powerful than themselves. In contemporary Pagan rituals, we domesticate the elements.
“Employ the power of positive quitting. Most of us view quitting as something negative, but it’s not. ‘Winners never quit,’ we’re told, when, in reality, winners quit all the time: choosing to stop doing things that aren’t creating the results they desire. When you quit all the things that aren’t working for you, when you quit tolerating all the negative things that hold you back, you’ll create a positive ‘charge’ in your life as well as create the space in your life for more positive experiences.”
— Jim Allen
“I like thinking of possibilities. At any time, an entirely new possibility is liable to come along and spin you off in an entirely new direction. The trick, I’ve learned, is to be awake to the moment.”
— Doug Hall
“Persons and societies do not submit passively to surroundings and events. They make choices as to the places where they live and the activities in which they engage — choices based on what they want to be, to do and to become. Furthermore, persons and societies often change their goals and ways; they can even retrace their steps and start in a new direction if they believe they are on a wrong course. Thus, whereas animal life is prisoner of biological evolution which is essentially irreversible, human life has the wonderful freedom of social evolution which is rapidly reversible and creative. Wherever human beings are concerned, trend is not destiny.”

Freedom
“I believe in freedom – social, economical, domestic, political, mental and spiritual.” -Elbert Hubbard
Freedom is all-encompassing; you can’t have one “kind” of freedom without all the others. I remember Deepak Chopra talking about the 25 qualities of the Unified Field. Scientists have studied this Field, which could also be called “all of nature,” and identified 25 qualities that it has. Because we are one with this Field, these are qualities inherent in each of us, too. Number 24 on the list: Freedom.

Beliefnet: The 7 Greatest Strengths of an Introvert
What others might call weakness is an introvert’s greatest strength.
If you’re an introvert, it can seem like the world just isn’t built for you. From the very beginning, others have tried to change you, telling you to “come out of your shell” so that you can get the most out of life.
But, as an introvert, you know that some of the greatest pleasures of life come from within. What others take for shyness, you know to be thoughtfulness.
