These are the fields of light, and laughing air,
And yellow butterflies, and foraging bees,
And whitish, wayward blossoms winged as these,
And pale green tangles like a seamaid’s hair.

Spirituality & Health: How to Invite Wild Sacred Nature into Your World
You’d be hard pressed to find a problem that cannot be helped by spending time in nature. Studies tell us that even pictures of nature can help us feel calm. MBG: To Anthony Bourdain, With Gratitude
To Anthony Bourdain:
It’s been a rough week, to say the least. I have a lot of questions still—questions without easy or even possible answers—but mostly, I just want to say thank you.
The distinct power of stories—for good, for evil—was something you understood intrinsically.
The Tetraktys: Finding Yourself – How to Free Yourself From Social Anxiety
ere’s a new article, this time about finding yourself and getting rid of social anxiety. I had the idea for this article because I, myself, am writing this one from Oaxaca, Mexico and it made me think about what travelling implies when it comes to social anxiety, or anxiety in general
Elephant Journal: June 11-18 Energy Forecast: Have courage & Manifest whatever you Desire
Currently, we are basking in the energy of zodiac sign Gemini, as the sun is temporarily resting in that sign.
The moon will be joining the sun and resting there from June 12th to 13th. Never is division and polarity more prominent than when the sun and moon cozy up and radiate outward from Gemini’s constellation.
MNN: Our brains need silence to make sense of things
The mind may seem to thrive on stimuli — the honking horns, the pixels percolating on this screen at this very moment, or even the way the keyboard feels under your fingers at any given time of day.
But, in fact, it may be what lies between — the time between honks

Patheos-Pagan: Exploring Daily Practice
A few years ago I started going to the gym on a regular basis. I would listen to music on my headphones (earbuds, whatever) and walk on the treadmill while my daughter was in karate class. I’ve never been an athletic person and running only happens if I’m being chased, but there was an unexpected side effect from my little workout routine. I developed a new daily practice of listening to my spiritual allies.
Inner Journey: Capture your inspiration!
“Ideas can come from anywhere and at any time. The problem with making mental notes is that the ink fades very rapidly.”
— Rolf Smith
Insights and inspiration come to us for a reason. Don’t let them disappear on you!
When a great idea pops into your mind, write it down and capture it. Keep a mini-journal or piece of paper with you at all times.
Reflect on your insights. How might you anchor this great idea so it enhances your life?
“Everyone who has ever taken a shower has had an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off, and does something about it that makes a difference.”
— Nolan Bushnell
A Note from the Universe
Think that it’s fun, that you’re guided, and that all is well; that there’s time, that life is easy, and that the best has yet to come.
Think that the reasons that elude you will one day catch up, that the lessons that have stumped you will one day bring joy, and that the sorrows that have crippled you will soon give you wings.
Think that you’re important, that you cannot fail, and that happiness always returns.
And think that you’re beautiful.

“Humor is emotional chaos remembered in tranquility.” -James Thurber (1894-1961) US humorist, illustrator
Do you remember the TV show “My World and Welcome to It?” It starred William Windom as James Thurber. This was many years ago, so it may be that he played a James Thurber “type,” (I was very young and can’t remember the details. 😉 I loved that show! And I loved how the lesson was that there was always something to laugh at, some funny way of looking at something that we might not have thought of. Sometimes when we’re going through something really awful or embarrassing, we’ll look at one another and say: “Someday we’ll look back on this and laugh.” And doesn’t that happen! Some of our funniest moments come out of our most human foibles. We are funny people, and we can enjoy ourselves.
