Ah, Sun-flower, weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the Sun,
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the traveller’s journey is done:
Where the Youth pined away with desire,
And the pale Virgin shrouded in snow
Arise from their graves, and aspire
Where my Sun-flower wishes to go
-William Blake (1757-1827)

Through the Grapevine: The Green Witch’s Grimoire: Herbal Paper
Choosing the Right Paper for Your Grimoire
If you’re planning a physical grimoire, paper is something you’ll need to consider. Here are a few things to keep in mind while you’re in the designing stage of your grimoire.
If you’re planning to use a bound book, look at the paper inside it. The lighter the paper, the more difficult it will be to glue things to it (the paper will wrinkle and buckle easily)

Treehugger: How Moonlight Affects Animals and Plants
Here on Earth, we have the moon’s gravitational pull to thank for the ocean tides, among other things. But what about moonlight?
The light reflected off the moon has an effect on life on Earth, which isn’t surprising, but not every lunar influence is heralded by a wolf’s howl.

Inner Journey: BEING ALONE
“I wish Pooh were here. It’s so much more friendly with two.”
— Piglet (A.A. Milne)
Are you willing to be alone?
Ingrid Bacci says, “If you are afraid of being alone, you are dependent on others for your sense of self, and if you are dependent on others, you block your receptivity to inner guidance. Being willing to be alone involves being willing to be different, to have commitments and values that don’t blend with any crowd.”
“Man’s loneliness is but his fear of life.”
— Eugene O’Neill
“I celebrate myself, and sing myself.”
— Walt Whitman

A Note from the Universe
Do you know what my “why” is?
Watching you “wake up” one day — mid-stride, mid-cupcake, or mid-email — and truly seeing your own beauty.
Crying happy tears, blowing kisses into the wind, and thinking, “I get it! I get Me! I love you, Cat Bolotin!” …crumbs falling from your mouth.
Take your time,

Discovery
“Most new discoveries are suddenly-seen things that were always there.”
-Susanne K. Langer, 1942
Whenever an explorer “discovered” a new land it wasn’t as if it just popped up in front of him or her. It was there, always, perhaps even waiting to be found and utilized. If we go down the same road everyday, we tend to become familiar with our surroundings, and after awhile we don’t bother to look anymore. And one day something catches our eye and we think: “wow, when did that change?” We don’t need to travel to exotic locales to learn new things. It’s amazing what we can discover right where we are.

Daily Tarot: Wheel of Fortune
Restlessness and boredom could slow you down and take you off on some unintended tangent. If you can’t break free of the usual routine today, do what’s necessary and perhaps schedule more delicate tasks for another time when it will be easier to be precise and attend to details. Know your own limits and if possible don’t take on something that will only frustrate you. If you must, start slow
