Spiritual Unite: What Is Merkaba Activation And How it Works

Merkaba activation is the process of taking the inert Merkaba and starting its spinning motion so that it can connect you to the Source energies and energy fields that exist throughout the universe. But what is the Merkaba? And what does activation do to it and to you?

MBG: This Guided Meditation Will Help Boost Your Resilience & Your Energy

Contrary to what we’ve been led to believe about the meaning of the word “yoga,” yoga nidra—a trend mbg reported on last year—isn’t movement-based at all. It’s a deep guided meditation that’s been touted for years as “yogic sleep.”

MNN: What you need to know about palm oil

You may not cook with it, but it’s in a lot of products you probably eat. And that’s not good for the planet.

In the 20 years between 1995 and 2015, global production of palm oil increased from 15.2 million tons to 62.6 million tons, according to the European Palm Oil Alliance. There’s more palm oil produced today than any other vegetable oil in the world, and the majority of it comes from Indonesia (53 percent) and Malaysia (32 percent).

Patheos-Pagan: Tragedy at the border: Helping through the practical and the Magickal

Like so many, I’ve felt anger, sad, horror, terror, powerlessness over the separation of families at the border. I’ve wanted to smash my computer with a brick. I’ve struggled to concentrate on work. The sounds of weeping babies stays in my ears. I want it to stay. I don’t want to forget. I don’t want to normalize.

Inner Journey:

TUNE INTO THE INNER CRITIC

“A critic is a legless man who teaches running.”
— Channing Pollock

Are you aware of your inner critic? We all have this voice that tells us we are bad, stupid, clumsy, cowardly…. Although its intent is to help us succeed, the harsh self talk of our critic just serves to drain our energy and lower our morale and immune system.

To defuse the inner critic, we need to recognize when the critic is speaking. We need to know that this voice does not necessarily speak for who we really are. This is an old pattern that may no longer be serving us. We want to open to the possibility that the words are not likely true. We can ask ourselves, “Are these words helpful?”

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

“Abilities wither under faultfinding, blossom with encouragement.”
— Donald A. Laird

“Never react emotionally to criticism. Analyze yourself to determine whether it is justified. If it is, correct yourself. Otherwise, go on about your business.”
— Norman Vincent Peale

A Note from the Universe

I’m often asked, you know, being the Universe and all, “What’s the purpose of life?” But truthfully, no matter who or what you are that’s a pretty daunting question. So daunting, I’m invariably compelled to reply with a few questions of my own:

“Do you mean besides having fun? Besides learning that the world has always spun in the palm of your hand? Besides bicycles, long walks, and hot chocolate? Besides holding hands, giving hugs, and drying tears? Besides having a dream and making it come true? Besides February, Fridays, and Polar Bears? Besides witnessing miracles that only you are privy to? Besides sunrises, sunsets, and every rare and fleeting moment in between?”

Daunting is an understatement.

Happy EVERYTHING!

Thoughts

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.” -Marcus Antonius (A.D. 86-161)

How often do we think about the QUALITY of our thoughts? We obviously have an abundant quantity of thoughts – but how many of those are thoughts of absolute quality? Which thoughts are like little gemstones that we want to treasure and save, to bring out again and again to wear with pleasure? Maybe it’s time to do some mental housekeeping. All those old, dusty, dinghy, non-productive thoughts that just end up making us feel bad – throw them out! They are no longer useful to us! Now, replace those old thoughts with new, efficient, beautifully clear thoughts. And watch how our outside lives begin to reflect the shiny new thinking that is going on inside.

Spirituality & Health: 8 Little Ways to Practice Nonviolence

“Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me,” goes the 1955 song. I’ve always liked that: the idea that the responsibility for sowing peace starts within each of us. Or, as Harry S. Truman would say, “The buck stops here.” After all, we can’t control how our kids behave in Aisle 4. We can’t control what gestures the guy in the next car is making. We can only control that little furnace of peace inside ourselves, stoke it, and hope enough of us can join our light together in the darkness. Here are a few small ways to practice personal nonviolence

MNN: Researchers discover Europe’s oldest tree — and it’s still growing

Ancient pine in Pollino National Park is 1,230 years old.

A weather-beaten pine clinging to a rocky slope in Italy is being called the oldest tree in Europe ever to be scientifically dated.

According to a new paper published in the journal Ecology, the species of Heldreich’s pine, nicknamed “Italus” by researchers, is at least 1,230 years old. Even more surprising, despite lacking a substantial canopy, this particular pine appears to be thriving, with heavy ring growth added to its trunk over the last several decades.

Around the world these next few evenings – May 30 and 31, 2018 – look for the waning gibbous moon and the planet Saturn to climb above your southeast horizon a few to several hours after sunset. In the Northern Hemisphere, that’ll be mid-to-late evening (10 to 11 p.m. local daylight-saving time; 9 to 10 p.m. local standard time).

Inner Journey: Open to the new

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”
— Alvin Toffler

How willing are you to learn something new? How open are you to new perspectives?

When we are open, we are willing to move to places we’ve never been before. We are willing to continually review our belief systems so we can test out new ideas.

Be open to seeing things:
– from another’s point of view,
– from a higher and more inclusive perspective
– with a beginner’s attitude of wonder.

“I am always in quest of being open to what the universe will bring me.”

The present

For you, the world is weird because if you’re not bored with it you’re at odds with it. For me the world is weird because it is stupendous, awesome, mysterious, unfathomable. I want to convince you that you must learn to make every act count, since you are going to be here for only a short while; in fact, too short for witnessing all the marvels of it.” -Don Juan (Carlos Castaneda)
That’s the kind of world I want to live in, one that is “stupendous, awesome, mysterious and unfathomable!” Imagine having that on a travel brochure? We’d all want to go to a place like that! And here we are! Do we recognize it, do we experience it every day? Do we make every act count? Every moment count? This is our world, this is our moment. Embrace it!
