Spiritual Unite: Understanding The Turquoise Aura | 5 Insights

The turquoise aura is deep and connected to the immune system. Many people consider it as the hue of blue and take it as the blue aura, but it is entirely different than blue. In simple words, people having a turquoise aura are innate healers who want to help others.

The Daily Good:  The Spiritual Diplomat

Having witnessed the ravages of war in the 1940s, James George determined as a young man to be a peacemaker and harmonizer in the world by working as a diplomat for Canada for 30 years. Ultimately, George realized that only an inner spiritual practice could generate the peace he wished to carry into the world. He applied his spiritual practice by being aware of what is happening moment to moment in himself and around him. He made himself available to the life that was given to him and tried to help people living in various countries to find inner peace as a means of achieving outer peace.

Birdhouses make lovely additions to a yard or garden. They can be aesthetically pleasing and, depending on the type and placement of the birdhouse, can attract a variety of different birds. While the primary consideration when putting up a birdhouse is the birds, there are a few other organisms you should consider, too.

EarthSky News: Find Mercury, below Venus, after sunset

In the first few weeks of July 2018, Mercury continues its fine showing in the west after sunset. You’ll find Mercury – the innermost planet of our solar system – beneath Venus, the third-brightest celestial object to light up the sky after the sun and moon. Look westward, in the general direction of sunset, as soon as the sky begins to darken.

Patheos-Pagan: Responsible tourism for witches and pagans, part 1

Respecting Sacred Spaces
In my years of traveling and working as a crew leader for a conservation corps I’ve learned how to be a responsible tourist and pass through sacred places, forests, fields, and castles as if I was never there. While pagans, witches, and other magical folk tend to also be lovers of nature, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we all carry out our higher, and reverent, intentions in all of our actions

Inner Journey:

LEARN TO BE AWARE

“You can live a lifetime and, at the end of it, know more about other people than you know about yourself.”
— Beryl Markham

Who am I? To answer this, we must first learn to become more aware of ourselves. To be aware, we must STOP and PAY ATTENTION! We need to STOP and objectively watch ourselves in action.

We live most of our lives by habit. These habits keep us stuck in patterns that limit our experience of life. Once we detect a pattern we were previously unconscious of, we can choose differently, if we want. With awareness comes choice and with choice, we gain freedom.

“To be authentic is literally to be your own author…, to discover your own native energies and desires, and then to find your own way of acting on them.”
— Warren G. Bennis

“Self-knowledge is the great power by which we comprehend and control our lives.”
— Vernon Howard

A Note from the Universe

Would you ever take a journey if you knew ahead of time that you’d become hopelessly lost, have your heart broken into pieces, and sometimes wish you’d never been born?

Now, how about if you knew ahead of time that on that very same journey you’d later find yourself, fall passionately in love, and live happily ever after?

Yeah, I know, you made the same choice a long, long time ago.

Que bueno,

Today’s Recipe: Easy Bagels

I gave up bagels a long time ago because of the high calories and carbs. These bagels are so much lower that I can enjoy them for breakfast again. They are not difficult to make. You can vary the flour, and even make it gluten-free. Wait until they are cool to slice. They can be toasted. You can also vary the toppings. I used truffle salt and toasted sesame seeds this time. I will try cinnamon raisin next time.

Simplicity

“In character, in manners, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.” -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)

Have you noticed that there is a whole industry out there now all about simplicity? There are books and organizers and coaches and magazines all geared towards making our lives more simple. How did this happen? How did our lives get so complex and confused that we forgot how to be simple? It’s crazy that we’ve now created more “stuff” to get ourselves back to basics – it’s kind of defeating the whole purpose. Let’s just make it simple today: Less “stuff,” more love!

You may not cook with it, but it’s in a lot of products you probably eat. And that’s not good for the planet.

In the 20 years between 1995 and 2015, global production of palm oil increased from 15.2 million tons to 62.6 million tons, according to the European Palm Oil Alliance. Inner Journey:

TUNE INTO THE INNER CRITIC

“A critic is a legless man who teaches running.”
— Channing Pollock

Are you aware of your inner critic? We all have this voice that tells us we are bad, stupid, clumsy, cowardly…. Although its intent is to help us succeed, the harsh self talk of our critic just serves to drain our energy and lower our morale and immune system.

To defuse the inner critic, we need to recognize when the critic is speaking. We need to know that this voice does not necessarily speak for who we really are. This is an old pattern that may no longer be serving us. We want to open to the possibility that the words are not likely true. We can ask ourselves, “Are these words helpful?”

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

“Abilities wither under faultfinding, blossom with encouragement.”
— Donald A. Laird

“Never react emotionally to criticism. Analyze yourself to determine whether it is justified. If it is, correct yourself. Otherwise, go on about your business.”
— Norman Vincent Peale

A Note from the Universe

I’m often asked, you know, being the Universe and all, “What’s the purpose of life?” But truthfully, no matter who or what you are that’s a pretty daunting question. So daunting, I’m invariably compelled to reply with a few questions of my own:

“Do you mean besides having fun? Besides learning that the world has always spun in the palm of your hand? Besides bicycles, long walks, and hot chocolate? Besides holding hands, giving hugs, and drying tears? Besides having a dream and making it come true? Besides February, Fridays, and Polar Bears? Besides witnessing miracles that only you are privy to? Besides sunrises, sunsets, and every rare and fleeting moment in between?”

Daunting is an understatement.

Happy EVERYTHING!

Thoughts

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.” -Marcus Antonius (A.D. 86-161)

How often do we think about the QUALITY of our thoughts? We obviously have an abundant quantity of thoughts – but how many of those are thoughts of absolute quality? Which thoughts are like little gemstones that we want to treasure and save, to bring out again and again to wear with pleasure? Maybe it’s time to do some mental housekeeping. All those old, dusty, dinghy, non-productive thoughts that just end up making us feel bad – throw them out! They are no longer useful to us! Now, replace those old thoughts with new, efficient, beautifully clear thoughts. And watch how our outside lives begin to reflect the shiny new thinking that is going on inside.

Thought for the Day: June 5, 2017

Happy Monday and Welcome to a New Week!

What is it about the word Monday that makes people groan? Well sure most people have to go back to work, school……whatever. It’s a name, a word,  and  literally means “Moon’s Day or Day of the Moon”. It’s all about perspective, as most things are. If we add a little positive thought it becomes a new beginning that we can shape into whatever we wish. So my question to you is this……What amazingly awesome things will you set in motion today?

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

Life is about learning and the lessons that we learn are the things that help us to grow.  Some lessons are easy and painless while others keep reoccurring causing us heartache and grief. Our thought for the day reminds us that we will be faced with the same lessons over and over until we learn what it’s trying to teach us. We can spend copious amounts of time making the same mistakes or we can gather our courage and move on. We have to remember that not everything can be changed or fixed and it’s okay to move on. It requires great courage on our part to acknowledge this, to look that lesson in the face and say “Thank you for teaching me what I need to know and I am a better person for this knowledge.” There are always choices, so allow a new path to open for you and create the life you have envisioned.

TGIF Ya’ll! We are on the verge of successfully making it through another week so give yourself a BIG hug! You deserve it! So………….. here’s a question for you………. What truly matters in your life? I bet it’s not the latest techno gadget or social media drama. The things that matter, really matter are different for everyone. For me it’s spending quality time with my husband and my mom. It’s the quality me time that’s necessary for my personal well being, there are other things but you probably get the idea. When we focus on the things that matter to us our stress levels go down, we feel at peace and our hearts and spirits sing. Take a deep breath………….. just breathe, ground and center. Let the weekday “things” fall away. This is your time, time to focus on what truly matters…..

Happy Thursday, we have rain today and  the flowers are loving it, my cats…………..not so much! Sometimes it’s the small things that make us the happiest and quite often other people have  nothing to with it.  We are each responsible for our own happiness, it is something that we create and nurture. You are not responsible for everyone else’s happiness although there are selfish people who would have you believe otherwise.

Our challenge for today is to acknowledge the little things that make YOU happy! For me it’s the smell of rain and wet earth, time spent with my mom, snuggles with my cat Sixx (I’m sure there will be more to add to my list)……..so what makes you happy today?

Happy Wednesday, we’ve made it to the middle of another week!

The rain is coming, we had a brief shower yesterday out of a sunny sky and the scent was a magickal experience. Our resident pair of nesting ravens are out and about this morning and as always they have a lot to say. The male has  a deep gravelly voice and he’s “chuckling” over something his mate has said on her flyby. We have a light breeze, a frontrunner for the storm coming in, the trees are whispering and our big  wind chime is singing to itself. This is one of my favorite times of the day, the world feels reborn, new……..fresh. It’s a calming and peaceful way to start the day. Nature has that effect and if we allow it’s energy to fill us we can start the day in hozro, harmony.

Happy Tuesday!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every day was amazingly awesome? However we all know that bad days happen, sometimes more often that we would like. I’ve learned that even on the worst days there is always at least ONE good thing that happened. Sift through the events of the day and set the bad things to the side (don’t focus or dwell on them). As you sift look for the shining lights of  “good” things. Pick them up, dust them off and allow that spark to ease your spirit.

Blessings for a magical day!

Happy Monday and welcome to a new week!

Intuition is something we all have to a greater or lesser degree, it’s our personal guidance system.   Instinctively we just “know” if something  does or doesn’t feel right. The key to intuition lies in paying attention to it when it speaks to you. Man, if I had a dollar for every time someone said ” I had a hunch about that, I just wish I had listened to it.”  The point is to never be afraid to listen and trust the vibes. Those vibes can keep you safe or even bring you great joy……………… are you listening?

Happy Friday and TGIF!

Positive or negative our attitude shapes how we see our lives, the world ourselves and others.  By doing our best to navigate our path with positive intent we are able to create the life  we want. It enables us to clearly see our blessings and appreciate life’s “Tiny Miracles”.  Remember, you ARE worthy of good things and your power as a creator can help you achieve the impossible!
