Elephant Journal: The Power of Female Friendships: how we can Support Instead of Tear each other Down

Eight of us go down to the beach, blankets and yoga mats in hand.
We cross under street lamps and a bridge occupied by a dozen tabby cats.
Arriving to a foggy pier, we lay out our mats in a circle. We adorn the center with tea lights, sage, a tarot deck, and crystals. Fifty feet away from our circle, a green light illuminates the area. The largest full moon of the year is somewhere in these clouds, but for now we only have this blinking green light at the end of the pier.

On March 10, 11 and 12, 2019, watch for the waxing crescent moon sweeping to the south of the red planet Mars, and then on to encounter a red star, Aldebaran, and the famous Pleiades star cluster.
On the evening of March 10, as seen from around the world, the moon will be shining beneath Mars in the west after sunset. One day later – March 11 – the moon will have moved in its orbit; notice it’s closer to Mars. Then the moon moves on in orbit around Earth. By March 12, it is near the Pleiades and Aldebaran, both of which are important sky signposts in the constellation Taurus the Bull.

129: If you are feeling lost or stuck today then Universe is reminding us of the importance of trusting in ourselves  and the the guidance that we receive from within. Our intuition is a powerful ally. However, we sometimes have the tendency to ignore it in favor of outside influences as well as our own ego getting in the way. Remember that the Universe is creating something new and positive to to take the place of what we have lost. set ego aside and embrace trust in ourselves and in our own abilities. By learning to trust that inner voice we gain self confidence, inner peace and the firm foundation we need to step into our own power. As confidence is gained so does the power of our inner wisdom. Use your natural talents and gifts to help create a new self reliant you. One who has the confidence to sift through the external noise around them and choose the direction best suited for their personal growth.




Archangel Zadkiel teaches us that true compassion and healing lies in our ability to to forgive ourselves and others. This is essential when dealing with the ego and the endings of cycles, relationships and situations. The Ascended Master Sanat Kumara teaches us how to put our ego in the back seat so that the inner wisdom we receive comes through clearly. And the Greek goddess Artemis can assist us in learning to access and trust our intuition. She is particularly helpful to women who seek to seek to embrace their feminine power. She reminds us  that “All the skills and knowledge you need for success lives within you. Your inner wisdom is a powerful thing and you know in your heart when something is good and right.”




Our Sacred Stones for today include Pietersite (The Tempest Stone). Use this stone to help access our intuition and create a link to a loving level of guidance. It helps to strengthen the will and increases our focus of where we really want life to take us. It helps us to rid ourselves of negative energy and replaces it with calm and Magnetite which promotes trust in ourselves and in our own inner wisdom.

Tonight – January 14, 2019 – the waxing gibbous moon is roughly one day past first quarter phase and shines rather close to the 7th planet, Uranus, on the sky’s dome. Uranus is located in the the constellation Pisces the Fishes, though very close to the border of the constellation Aries the Ram. This faint planet – barely bright enough to be glimpsed with the eye alone on a moonless night – will cross over into the constellation Aries in February 2019, but the moon will leave this section of the starry sky after a day or two.

In spirit, there is no time or place… but we’re here, in this physical body, on this earth, for a reason. When one door closes, another opens. But often we look so long, so regretfully, upon the closed door, that we fail to see the one that is opened for us. – Helen Keller




112:  Winter is a time of introspection. By looking within we gain knowledge and insights of who we are, who we want to be and where we want to go. This helps to clear the pathways and makes it possible for the letting go of old habits. This is the first step to initiating personal growth. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy when it comes to these old habits. While they may “feel” comfortable the truth is that we hold onto these things because we are afraid of change or fear of failure.  Remember, we can’t grow if we refuse to accept the changes that are offered. As you explore your own inner workings remember to pay attention to any recurring thoughts and ideas. The key lies in the way we perceive the information provided. This information paves our way into the future we desire, and planting positive thought seeds along our path will be beneficial in the coming months.




Archangel Jeremiel shows us the way to making the life changes we need to move forward. He teaches us that change should not be feared and is a normal part of life and our overall growth. The Ascended Master Mother Mary helps fill our hearts with love. She teaches us that compassion and forgiveness are essential to healing ourselves and the letting go process. The Greek goddess Hecate teaches us about the importance of change. She helps us to release the past and the old things that keep us from moving on and how to accept change and transition. She tells us ” I am the guardian of the crossroads. Remember that to move ahead you must face your fears and release the past. Change and circumstance are inviting you to choose a path. It is your choice so make the one that is best for you.”




Our Sacred Stones for today are Agate and Angelite. The humble Agate  is the perfect one for grounding and balancing our energies. It also helps by raising our consciousness to access our higher self and promoting the awareness and acceptance of who we are and where we want to go in life. It nurtures our spiritual growth and inner strength by helping us to the most of our life experiences. Or,  try Angelite  which infuses us with a calming energy that eases fear of the future, it also helps us to connect to the Universe and it’s helpers and Fluorite helps to promote spiritual growth.

I am the owner of my choices. I am the source for the perspectives I choose to hold… regardless of how aware I am of why or how I come to possess that particular perspective. It takes courage to look into the mirror of our souls, absent excuses. I will look into that mirror little bits at a time. SEE and ACT. SEE what I can bear to see and ACT upon what I am able. This is the heart of a gentle invitation to personal responsibility. – Mary Anne Radmacher




12: Blessings await those you are willing to go the extra mile to  make things happen. Personal growth and evolution is a big deal this year as we look for new ways to express our authenticity. Faith and courage are our keywords for today so if you need a boost dig deep within or ask the Universe for help.


The first week of the new year is a great time to set your intentions for what you want to accomplish. These intention are like seeds. Plant them early and begin the nurturing process that which will begin to “sprout” at Imbolc (Feb. 2). Remember to keep your intentions realistic. Reaching for the stars is great just be sure to take all the steps including the baby steps  as this will make it easier to accomplish your goals.  Baby steps are important in the overall process of creation as they insure that everything is in place and that you are ready for the next step. Today our Angels are letting us know that the wheels are turning and things are happening behind the scenes. Ask for assistance or direction when you need it and above all stay optimistic and focused on the best possible outcome.




Archangel Jophiel reminds us that goodness and beauty surround us all the time. By  keeping ourselves open to receiving these blessings it draws the things we need directly to us. Making them easier to see and grasp. The Ascended Master Jesus embodies faith, he also provides a clear and direct line of communication to the Divine and he helps all who ask. And the Yoruban Goddess Oya  teaches us that change is necessary to our personal evolution. These are designed to  inspire and encourage us to transcend our self imposed limitations. She tells us ” Allow the winds of change to flow through your being. In their wake they will leave new energy seeds for you to plant. Use these seeds to help you on your journey.”




Our Sacred Stones for today include Mahogany Obsidian. This gentle stone  keeps us grounded and protects as it helps to eliminate energy blocks, and helps promote growth on all levels. Our next stone is Carnelian. It is a creative stone that keeps us in the present and brings motivation and creative thinking which can help us in setting and prioritizing our goals. And finally we have our trusty Rose Quartz to help us see and appreciate the beauty around and within us.

We all have a social mask, right? We put it on, we go out, put our best foot forward, our best image. But behind that social mask is a personal truth, what we really, really believe about who we are and what we’re capable of. – Phil McGraw




11:  Welcome to the new year! Let’s first take a look at the number for 2019 (2+0+1+9=11/ 1+1= 3) which is 3. The new year will focus on our communication and social skills. It will teach us to our lives with joy and optimism as well as in using our creative abilities to help us manifest our goals and dreams. To aid your progress be sure to live authentically. In other words be yourself and be true to yourself. And remember to  pay attention to Divine guidance and your own intuition.


Today the Universe is reminding us that we are not alone and help is always available to us. Have faith in yourself and know that your prayers have been heard and the wheels are in motion. Divine right timing will also be important so don’t skip any steps as even the smallest ones need to be taken to complete the process. 2019 will be a year of personal growth and evolution so embrace your divine spark to bring clarity, inner peace and  greater self love.




Archangel Uriel gives us the information that we need when we need it. This assists us during the manifestation process by enhancing our problem solving skills so that we can make the decisions that are best for our current situations and our overall evolution. The Ascended Master Maitreya, the Laughing Buddha, brings us peace and teaches us about the healing power of laughter. Being able to find the humor in our lives reduces our stress levels and brings peace and clarity. And the Egyptian Goddess Maat teaches us that the point of balance is thin and feather light. Our Sacred Stone for today is Pietersite (The Tempest Stone). Use this stone to help access our intuition and create a link to a loving level of guidance. It helps to strengthen the will and increases our focus of where we really want life to take us.  We can also use white feathers. While this is obviously not a stone it IS a symbol the Goddess Maat. Carry one as charm or a reminder of truth and integrity.

125:  Last month we started working on making positive changes to help us create a better life. Remember that change is necessary if we are to grow to our full potential. Today the Universe is telling us that the time has come to acknowledge the changes that we initiated and to make any adjustments that will help ease the way. The number 5 relates to transformation on all levels and it’s important to continue to let go of what no longer serves to make room. The our spiritual helpers are here and are sending us messages and clues that relate to our path. Embrace your faith in yourself and the Universe and allow your transformation to happen!

Today’s Sacred Stone is Hematite. This stone has a strong connection to the earth element and helps us stay grounded and promotes feelings of safety. Hematite also brings mental clarity through focus and concentration which is essential letting go process which accompanies change.
