Spirit Library: Our New Universal Reports
Dear Ones,
Your need to be part of a community is designed to help you find your universal relatives – those with whom you have traveled through eons of locations and times.
Many of you are shifting those of your community acknowledging that some will remain, while others are no longer of interest. Such is so because you have completed those interactions or karma.

Elephant Journal: What we Misunderstand about being an Empath.
Let’s talk about empathy, which, according to a recent NPR story, “The End of Empathy” (April 15, 2019, Hanna Rosin), is seemingly declining in younger generations.
Associate professor Sara Konrath from Indiana University has been tracking a trend, or a critical shift, whereby younger generations do not feel it’s their responsibility to “see the world from someone else’s perspective.”

EarthSky News: Moon and Saturn to meet in morning sky
These next several mornings – April 24, 25 and 26, 2019 – watch the moon as it travels away from the king planet Jupiter and toward the ringed planet Saturn. Although Saturn is easily visible to the eye alone, you need a telescope to view its majestic rings

Patheos-Pagan: The Stang
The Stang is adored by many modern Traditional Witches, myself included. It’s a tool whose use powerfully evokes a sense of connection to something old and primitive. In its simplest form, a forked staff, Witches use the Stang in various ways including representing the Horned One, aiding in spirit flight, and directing energy.

Inner Journey:
THE 4 D’S OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH
“Promise Yourself … to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. …To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.”
— Drawn from the Optimist Creed of the Optimist International Club
Reflect on this pathway for meaningful growth:
DISCIPLINE – To create change in our lives, we need to consistently focus on what we want.
DETACHMENT – Practice the art of detached observation. Let go of automatic defenses and patterns.
DISCERNMENT – Seek to discern the lower from the higher. What is self-serving and what is soul-inspired? Discernment carries no judgment. There are no goods and bads. Remain as a detached witness.
DHARMA “This is an East Indian word meaning “living your unique purpose.” How do you find meaning and fulfillment in ways that are natural to you? How do you best serve and contribute to the world?
“If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears.”
— Glenn Clark

Today’s Recipe: DIY Tea Astringent
Astringents are used to firm and tone the skin. They constrict the pores and create a protective layer of firm tissue to fight against natural elements. However, some astringents can be harsh due to their alcohol content, thus, drying the skin. So why not create your own astringent at home? Today’s recipe uses non-drying ingredients — witch hazel, lemon juice and, don’t be surprised – tea!

Effort
“Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment. Full effort is full victory.”
-Mohandas K. Gandhi (1869-1948)
Full effort is mindfulness. It’s being present in the moment, concentrating on the task at hand and not on the results. When we’re in that space where we’re putting in effort, doing our best, we lose track of time and experience the now. That’s a victory!

Ritual for a Spring Full Moon
BY JULIE PETERS
The full moon is a wonderful opportunity to create a meaningful ritual. Julie Peters shares her own ritual. “It has felt very powerful for me to reflect on how I might like to symbolize what I’m feeling with each new moon and full moon and create a ritual to mark that time.”
