Perspective & Communication: Cat’s Angel Message for October 10, 2018

October’s Theme: Divine guidance and messages. Thoughts, ideas, insights, or even warnings. These messages are important for us personally, emotionally and spiritually so work on staying open to the information that you receive.

To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others. – Tony Robbins

1010:  Well today’s number certainly sums up this month’s theme. So do your best to stay focused and centered as this will help keep the lines of communication open and flowing. We are being asked to work on areas involving our spiritual journey and personal development. Remember that we are creating our reality and the key is to stay optimistic about the messages that you receive. Messages come in many forms, both divinely generated and through our own intuitive skills, so always be on the lookout for creative ideas and insights. The Universe is here to help you and the guidance it offers helps us to grow on all levels and each tidbit of information is a piece of the puzzle.

Archangel Zadkiel helps us to remember the  important information (like divine messages) and enhances our basic memory function as well. Vywamus is an Ascended Master of the new age. He helps us in all aspects of our Life Purpose through inspiration and discovering talents we have forgotten that we possess or through bringing new ones to our attention. And the Hawaiian goddess Pele tells us “Within you lives the sacred fire that gives life to your greatest dreams and passions. This part of you must be allowed to come forward, not smothered beneath fear, resentment or the expectations of others. Your fire will help you forge new paths!”

Our Sacred Stone for the day is Ulexite (TV stone). This clear stone helps to burn away mental fog and promotes clarity of vision and thinking.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

Tetraktys: Pagan Beliefs and Practices – How to Be a Pagan in the 21st century

Although some have professed the death of all religions in the 21st century, the truth is that the world is becoming more and more religious and religiously diverse these days. As a matter of fact, I stumbled upon this article a few days ago. According to the Pew Research Center, if the actual trend continues, by 2050, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism will add many hundreds of millions of believers to their ranks, if we postulate that children will follow their parents’ religion, that is.

EarthSky News: August 6 and 7 before sunup: Moon in Taurus

On August 6 and 7, 2018 – in the predawn hours – the waning crescent moon will be shining in front of the constellation Taurus the Bull. Look for the moon in the vicinity of reddish Aldebaran, Taurus’ brightest star. Notice that Aldebaran is part of a V-shaped pattern of stars. This pattern is called the Hyades. Also, look for the little dipper-shaped star cluster known as the Pleiades, aka the Seven Sisters.

Did You Know?

Before the Civil War, schools did not have summer vacation. In rural communities, kids had school off during the spring planting and fall harvest while urban schools were essentially year-round. The long summer holiday didn’t come about until the early 20th century.

Inner Journey:

BE, DO AND HAVE

“Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you love to do, in order to have what you want.”
— Margaret Young

The formula for success is Be, Do, Have. If we seek abundance, we must be abundant in spirit. We can begin to cultivate spiritual wealth by opening our hearts in gratitude.

Start a gratitude journal today. Each evening, write down at least 5 things for which you are grateful. This simple tool will help you open your eyes to the abundance of your world right now.

“Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.”
— Estonian proverb

A Note from the Universe

Did you know that whenever you say, “I think I’m onto something HUGE, I’m so excited, I love my life, I have total clarity…” it’s like hitting an “ON” button that throws countless supernatural, invisible mechanisms into action that gradually begin physically rearranging the props and events of your life so that they’ll soon yield something HUGE, generate excitement, inspire love, and provide clarity?

And that whenever you say, “I don’t know what to do, it’s all so hard, I hate my life, I don’t ever want to return to time and space…” it’s like hitting an “OFF” button.

Of course you did,

Today’s Recipe: Rich Shrimp Stock

My local seafood shop sells head-on shrimp for nearly half the price of the ones already cut. This is a plus for me because I love to use the heads, skins, and tails, along with vegetable scraps, to make my own rich shrimp stock. Not only is a homemade version more delicious, it’s also so much cheaper. Shrimp stock is full of glucosamine, which is essential for healthy joint health.

Soul

“The growth of the soul may be compared to the growth of a plant. In both cases, no new properties are imparted by the operation of external causes, but only the inward tendencies are called into action and clothed with strength.”

-George Ripley (1802-1880)

Oftentimes when we talk about spiritual growth we compare it with the growth of a plant – planting the seed, allowing it space and time to grow with its own innate intelligence. We use this example because we understand how the growth of a plant “works.” We’ve seen seedlings sprout, we’ve had potatoes take root in glasses of water in our fifth grade science classes. And we need this kind of illustration because spiritual growth is not something we necessarily “see.” It is an internal phenomenon, something we feel, something we experience, something that goes beyond words or pictures.

A Joyful Experience: Cat’s Angel Message for May 22, 2018

May Theme: This month will bring change. While change sometimes feels scary, it is a necessary thing for our overall growth. Be willing to embrace it and allow it to happen naturally and get ready for better things.

The great awareness comes slowly, piece by piece. The path of spiritual growth is a path of lifelong learning. The experience of spiritual power is basically a joyful one. – M. Scott Peck

522: This month is about change and most of our work has been on the personal levels (mental and emotional). Today’s number however, will focus on changes to our spiritual outlook.  Positive choices, life lessons, courage, faith, insight and Universal love are all key for today. It sounds like a lot but these things are what help shape our own unique brand of spirituality. When change arrives it brings many things including a change of perspective which flows into our being on all levels including the spiritual.

The Universe is reminding us not to ignore our spirituality. Embrace it by staying strong in faith and by remaining optimistic, as it is these things that help build a strong spiritual base from which all good things grow.

Archangel Jeremiel oversees life changes. He guides us through making the best possible choices during times of change and Archangel Uriel can help with life lessons by ensuring that we learn from the past and continue to move forward with confidence. The Ascended Master Padre Pio teaches us that we can heal by embracing our spirituality and guides us through periods of spiritual growth and the Greek Goddess Nike teaches us how to acknowledge our accomplishments, which opens the doors to new ways of doing and seeing things.

Our Sacred Stone for today is Cavansite. This stone helps to guide us through major life changes as well as helping us learn from past experiences so that we don’t make the same mistakes/choices again. It also helps us to retain information that applies to spiritual  growth.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

Cat’s Bits & Pieces: Imbolc Is The Time For Strong Roots

CBP February

Cat’s Bits & Pieces: Imbolc Is The Time For Strong Roots

Traditionally the ancient Celtic festival of Imbolc is celebrated from the evening of February 1st until evening on February 2nd  The purpose behind Imbolc was to celebrate the first early signs of spring. One of which was when the sheep give birth and begin nursing their new lambs.  Imbolc is also mentioned in early Irish literature and was a pagan festival dedicated to the goddess Brigid. Later when it became a Christianized observance called St. Brigid’s Day. It was  also called Candlemas by the ancient Greeks. There are celebrations of spring all over the world, each one similar as well as different. If you look closely at the Pagan traditions you will find a mix and match of traditions. It’s what makes it interesting.

The truth is that we don’t really know how it was celebrated by our ancestors, but for those of us who follow the Earth Based Traditions Imbolc celebrates  new beginnings and growth. Growth meaning not only the coming planting season but personal and spiritual growth as well. One common ritual involves dedicating or re-dedicating yourself to both your craft and your patron goddess, a new project or simply making yourself the best you can be. It would be fair to point out that, in case anyone is interested, that “choreographed rituals” are not my thing. I prefer to keep things on a much simpler scale, candles, prayer and planting a few Thought Seeds.

KODAK Digital Still Camera

I start my observance a few days ahead by checking my outdoor plants. My chrysanthemums, hyacinths and a few tulips are  pushing away the mulch and  reaching for the light. This exploration of spring wouldn’t be complete without a trip out to the desert. Grandmother Desert hold her secrets close to her dry, stony breast. There are no visible signs of spring but it’s. At this time of the year her energy is heavy and building toward a slow emergence of new life. but now it’s quiet,  so quiet that you can hear voice of the breeze. That same breeze carries with it the scent of wet earth and it’s here that the first “sign” of spring can be found. It’s one of the few times that the desert smells “green”. As you look around you see there is no green, it’s simply a promise of the new things to come. A promise of new things, a dedication of continued growth, a taking stock of what you have to work with.

KODAK Digital Still Camera

This what we do at Imbolc. We’ve had time since the Winter Solstice to decide where we want to go and what we need to do. We have gathered the seeds that will be planted today and the time has come to bless each one and surround them with intent and loving energy. Care for these tiny seeds as if they were children. They need your attention and focus to flourish. Take your time. Don’t force or struggle. Nurture your Imbolc seeds with care and as they grow so shall you. Strong roots make a strong foundation for which all else can built upon.

It’s a BIG Plus: Cat’s Angel Message for January 26, 2018

January’s Theme: Focus on dreams and goals not your fears or past happenings. Thoughts manifest into reality and through positive focus we lessen the power of the things we fear.

It’s always better not to have too many expectations and to just go with the flow because then it’s always a big plus no matter what happens.

Ville Valo

126: It’s easy to get caught up in manifesting the things we want, sometimes in exclusion to everything else. This throws us out of balance and interrupts our PEF (Positive Energy Flow). The PEF is similar to water currents. We send things out and new things return to us. Today our angels are encouraging us to keep up the good work and to remember that balancing our energies creates the PEF that is necessary to open new doors and create new opportunities. Balance can found by using the “Sacred Tools” of faith and thought to help tend to your spiritual needs, which are just as important ,if not more so than the material ones.  Be as water today and learn to go with the flow!

Let’s keep working with the Ascended Master Buddha today. Remember that he shows how to stay balanced in all areas of our lives. The water goddess Coventina teaches us how to be like water and allow the natural flow necessary for overall balance. She also helps with flow of abundance and inspiration and Archangel Uriel helps us to find spiritual understanding. This helps to know ourselves better and assists in the balancing needed to harness our PEF. Our Sacred Stone for today is Chrysanthemum Stone which helps us to find our balance point and maintain it.

Sticking With The Plan: Cat’s Angel Message for January 2 , 2018

January’s Theme: Focus on dreams and goals not your fears or past happenings. Thoughts manifest into reality and through positive focus we lessen the power of the things we fear.

Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.

Tom Landry

12: The new year offers blessings galore to those who are willing to help make things happen. A large part of this involves growth. In order to grow and create the life we desire we must have faith and courage in the Universe as well as in ourselves. The first week of the new year is a great time to set your intentions for what you want to accomplish. These intention are like seeds. Plant them early and begin the nurturing process that which will begin to “sprout” at Imbolc (Feb. 2). Remember to keep your intentions realistic as this will make it easier to accomplish what you want and to keep building from there. Baby steps are important in the overall process of creation as they insure that everything is in place and that you are ready for the next step. Today our Angels are letting us know that the wheels are turning and things are happening behind the scenes. Ask for assistance or direction when you need it and above all stay optimistic and focused on the best possible outcome.

Archangel Michael is our go to angel today. He helps us to find our courage and boosts our self esteem so that we can move forward with confidence. Ascended Masters like Jesus and Moses can help to strengthen our faith and the Hawaiian goddess Pele helps us to set realistic goals and how to prioritize them to our best advantage. Our Sacred Stones for today are:

Mahogany Obsidian is a gentle stone that  keeps us grounded and protects as it helps to eliminate energy blocks, it also promotes growth on all levels.

Rutilated Quartz brings spiritual growth and cleans / energizes the aura. This is an important factor for our personal creation process.

Carnelian is a creative stone that keeps us in the present and brings motivation and creative thinking which can help us in setting and prioritizing our goals.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!
