Many swarms of wild bees descended on our fields:
Stately stood the wheatstalk with head bent high:
Big of heart we laboured at storing mighty yields,
Wool and corn, and clusters to make men cry!

ThoughtCo: Mabon: The Autumn Equinox
It is the time of the autumn equinox, and the harvest is winding down. The fields are nearly empty because the crops have been plucked and stored for the coming winter. Mabon is the mid-harvest festival, and it is when we take a few moments to honor the changing seasons and celebrate the second harvest.

MNN: Ode to Martha, the last passenger pigeon
One of eastern North America’s most iconic animals vanished forever on Sept. 1, 1914.
The last passenger pigeon on Earth died just more than 100 years ago. Housed at the Cincinnati Zoo and named “Martha,” she was the final holdout of a species that went from one of the planet’s most abundant birds to one of its highest-profile extinctions. And it all happened within a few decades, an early stage of what many scientists now agree is Earth’s sixth mass extinction event.

EarthSky News: Young moon, stars, a planet September 3-5
As darkness falls on September 3 and 4, 2019, watch for the waxing crescent moon to travel in front of the constellation Libra the Scales, past Libra’s alpha star Zubenelgenubi and famous green star Zubeneschamali. Then, as the moon continues going eastward in its orbit around Earth, it’ll sweep up toward the star Antares – the Heart of the Scorpion in Scorpius and a red supergiant star – and the very bright planet Jupiter.

Inner Journey:
TIME FOR STILLNESS
“We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget that the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it’s all about.”
— Joseph Campbell
The sages all say that the path to liberation is found in entering the stillness within. To experience that stillness, we need to be willing to regularly stop the activity for a while.
How do we do this in a busy life? We set our priorities. Perhaps it means giving up a TV program or using a coffee break to grab a few moments of solitude. Perhaps we have to ask our partner, relative or neighbour to give us 30 minutes of time away from the kids. If we really want something, we can make it happen.
“Learn to pause… or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you.”
— Doug King

A Note from the Universe
The top 10 signs a really huge dream of yours is about to come true, are:
1.You regularly visualize the end result, the after-party, or beyond.
2.Every day you “show up,” doing something about it.
3.You’re not attached to how it will come true.
4.It really matters to you; you really care.
5.You know who the first 3 people are that you’ll call with the news.
6.You’re smiling and winking way more than normal.
7.Sometimes you speak and behave as if it already has.
8.It probably doesn’t depend upon specific people.
9.You already know what your next goal is.

Teachers
“The teacher is no longer merely the-one-who-teaches, but one who is himself taught in dialogue with the students, who in turn while being taught also teach.”
-Paulo Freire (1921-1997)
It is true that one of the best ways to learn is to teach. It gives us a better understanding of the material from the ground up. If we can take something complicated and distill it down so that someone else can learn it, we are mastering the concept ourselves. In addition, in the role of teacher, we are asked questions – questions we might never have thought of on our own. In finding the answers, we learn more about the concept, and about ourselves. So the students become the teachers as well. We are all teachers, just as we are all students.

Daily Tarot: The Pope
Save those creative, foot-loose and fancy-free activities for another day and focus on the nuts and bolts. If you’ve been putting off doing something necessary but not fun, knock it out now and then feel accomplished when finished. You can earn a lot of regard and admiration for this. You won’t be allowed to keep too low a profile, so just step up and do what’s important for today. You should encounter no resistance
