Thought For The Day: June 11, 2019 “Stepping Out”

Happy Tuesday,

Comfort zones, we all have them. Some folks enjoy doing new things, meeting new people and just plain putting themselves out there. Then there are others who are afraid to take that first step. If we never take that first step we are separating ourselves from life and the amazing things it has to offer. Our challenge for today is to be  your own superhero and take that first step (yes, baby steps count). I know you can do it and I believe in you , and yes there are others who believe in you too!

New flowery scents strewed everywhere,
New sunshine poured in largesse fair,
“We shall be happy now,” we say.
A voice just trembles through the air,
And whispers, “May.”

ThoughtCo: How To Draw Down the Moon

What is Drawing Down the Moon?
In this beautiful and powerful rite, the practitioner invokes the Goddess directly into herself (or himself, as the case may be). In some variations, a High Priestess (HPs) may go into a trancelike state and speak the words of the Goddess, or it may be a formal monologue calling upon the Goddess in her many forms.

Inner Happy Hour: Poetry Practice

Poem: take an ache, make it sing

Poetry gives us a chance to express ourselves in a unique and profound way. Poet, photographer, and artist Tyler Knott Gregson insists, “It does not matter what the song sounds like, it does not matter what the lyrics end up being, it’s just giving all the aches in you, the positive and the negative, the space to realize themselves.”

Pioneer Thinking: How to Make Seed Bombs

Seed bombing has been popular in urban areas for some time. But the idea is applicable for other areas as well. What is seed bombing? It’s a fun, easy, and environmentally friendly way to plant large or difficult to reach areas. Children especially seem to enjoy the fun so it makes a good family project.

Elephant Journal: Astrological Forecast: the Best way to Make Use of May’s Full Moon.

The planets in the sky are always bringing us lessons, wisdom, and guidance.
Whether the teachings are smooth or difficult depends on who you talk to, but the “effortless versus arduous” question is largely tied up in the amount of resistance we feel to wanting to do the work presented.

Even sitting in his driveway, Michael Cardenaz makes an imposing figure.
Muscled, tattooed and downright massive.
Then there’s that steely law enforcement strand that runs through every fiber of his being: 14 years with the sheriff’s office. SWAT team member and, now, Homeland Security agent

Four Thieves Vinegar is one of the most popular Hoodoo potions around. So popular in fact, you might not even know it has it’s roots both in Southern Conjure and European Folk Magick. It’s entertaining history even comes with a biblical story.

Inner Journey:

Why are you here?

“You can come to understand your purpose in life by slowing down and feeling your heart’s desires.”
— Marcia Wieder

What do you love to do? What gives you greatest meaning in your life? Let your answers trickle through and keep a record of the key words that come up.

Life becomes so much richer when we choose to live from our heart.

A Note from the Universe

It’s time we had that little talk.

You know, about life, how it started, and where it might go…

First, there were a few thoughts.

Then, there were a few things.

Yeah, that’s what we said, “Wow!” But after eons and eons the novelty wore off because absolutely nothing ever changed.

Until there were new thoughts.

Get the picture?

Daily Wisdom
May 7, 2019

“A primary method of learning is to go from the familiar to the unfamiliar.”

-Glenn Doman, How to Teach Your Baby to Read, 1964

Simple steps. And yet the unfamiliar often scares us, so that first step is the most difficult! Why not just step into the unknown? If we really want to grow, we’ve got to learn, and that means that we might have to start doing things differently to make space for that in our lives. No risk, no reward.

-Lissa Coffey

Beliefnet: The Blessings of Boredom
If you’ve ever had kids, you’ve heard the familiar lament, “I’m bored!” Kids always say that to parents, as if boredom is a major tragedy. As mature adults, we are less melodramatic if we are bored.

Looking Back On Worry: Cat’s Angel Message for March 31, 2018

March Theme:  This month guidance is coming from the Ascended Masters. Find what defines you and use it to inspire others. Free your creative side and share your ideas and gifts.

When I look back on all these worries, I remember the story of the old man who said on his deathbed that he had had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which had never happened. – Winston Churchill

331:  It’s normal for us to think about the future and what it holds for us. Too often though we find ourselves getting caught in the “whirlpool of worry” . We spin round and round agonizing over what “might ” happen. ( What if?- Should I?- I want to…. but…) Thinking about and planning for the future is a good thing,  however excessive worrying about it is counter productive. It saps our resources and energy that we could be investing in something else. Today is the last day of March and the Full Moon as well. This means the end of a cycle and some powerful energy for those who want to embrace this “new dawn” and move forward. Your future is an adventure so be bold and take that first step (even if it’s a small one). Release your worries to the Universe and avoid the “whirlpool” by taking  things a day at time and let things fall into place!

Archangel Zadkiel helps us to avoid the whirlpool of worry. He boosts our faith  and fills our hearts with peace and calm. He also helps us to remember information that will helps us on this grand adventure. The Ascended Master El Morya helps us to stay grounded in the present and shows us how to stick to our commitment to keep growing and moving forward and the Yoruban Goddess Oya  teaches us that change, an important part of life and it’s adventure, must be fully embraced, not ignored or simply put up with. Changes inspire and encourage us to transcend our self imposed limitations.”

Our Sacred Stones for today are Moonstone to help you connect to today’s full moon energy. This is a stone of new beginnings and it helps us to appreciate and use our intuitive powers. Ametrine which helps us to grow  while encouraging us to explore all possibilities and find the creative solutions we need to make the most of the information we are given and Brecciated Jasper to keep us grounded and promote mental clarity.

Thought For The Day: Dec. 8, 2017 “The 3D’s”

Happy Friday,

Our thought for the day involves “the 3D’s” , desire, determination and dedication. While everyone dreams of making changes in their lives not everyone is willing to what is necessary to make them happen. The hardest part is just getting started but once you take that first step the others will fall into place. Change requires work so don’t sell yourself short and give up. You are worthy of creating an amazing life and you have what it takes to create it!
