Change is a natural part of life. If everything stayed the same forever and ever wouldn’t that BE boring? We would always be the same, never growing or evolving, never experiencing the adventures that life offers. Let go of something that you are holding on to today, just loosen your grip. By doing this you are inviting some new things to slip in. It revitalizes the spirit and rekindles our sense of adventure. What are you ready to let go of?
Where am I going? As we navigate the adventure of life we often find ourselves asking this question. If you are feeling at loose ends or uncertain then change the question, “Where do I want to go today?” It’s ok to not have all the answers. The important thing is to keep mapping out uncharted territory and explore all the roads, rivers, and paths. Remember that its the journey, not the destination!
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

Spirit Library: Contemplate & Re-Evaluate (a message from Kate Spreckley)
In this time of rapid awakening and transformation it is becoming abundantly clear that we have to stop expecting someone else to make our lives better, the world healthier or the environment cleaner. We need to stop looking to governments, politicians and so called leaders to change our reality.
Wise Woman Herbal: An Invitation to Arrive by Astrid Grove
One of my greatest passions is to arrive fully present in each moment and support others to do the same. I trust my inner knowing that this is each of our birthright. The lessons that show up in my life continue to reveal this truth to me. And so it is.
April’s showers have given way to rich and fertile earth, and as the land greens, there are few celebrations as representative of fertility as Beltane.
MBG: Mercury Retrograde 101: What This Transit Means & How To Navigate It
Even if you don’t know much about astrology, you’ve probably heard “Mercury retrograde” mentioned in a hushed, worried tone before. As one of the most hyped-up astrological transits—up there with new moons, full moons, and eclipses—Mercury retrograde often gets a bad rap
1. If you were wearing the costume, you’re hiding your true self from someone – or perhaps from everyone in your circle. If you take it off, something will cause you to drop the façade very soon.
2. If you are only one amongst many wearing a costume, especially if some of the others were children, this portends an amazing and totally unexpected – but nonetheless favorable – turn of events.

Daily Good: The Art of Waiting
“”Time is the substance I am made of,” Borges wrote in his spectacular confrontation with time, “Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger which destroys me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire which consumes me, but I am the fire.” We are indeed creatures of time who live with it and in it, on the picketed patch of spacetime we have each been allotted. But if time is the foundational baseboard of our being, what happens to the structure of our lives in a culture of doing? That is what Jason Farman explores in Delayed Response: The Art of Waiting.” Maria Popova shares more in this post. { read more }

Meaning
“The need to find meaning in the universe is as real as the need for trust and for love, for relations with other human beings.”
-Margaret Mead (1972)
It’s the age-old question: What is the meaning of life? Living this quest is as natural as breathing. It’s how we learn and grow, all a part of the process of life. We reach out to each other, for comfort, for love, for definition. And many times it is in our relationships that we find the meaning that we seek.

Spending time in nature really helps you focus on the here and now, freeing your mind from the chatter and clutter of everyday life and helping you feel like part of something larger than yourself. Whether you’re walking in the woods
1. If the dreamer is climbing the stairs, then he is “on his way to the top.” If the staircase is bright and cheery, the climb to the top will be easy and pleasant. But if the staircase is dark and frightening, the dreamer may have to face some unpleasant situations before he gets to where he wants to be.
2. If the dreamer is descending the staircase, and the staircase is a pleasant one, then he may soon complete a difficult task and be able to relax for awhile. But if the staircase is dark and gloomy, or the dreamer is falling down the stairs, then the dreamer may be in danger of being “on his way down.” Look to other symbols in the dream to judge how this can be prevented.
3. If someone known to the dreamer is either climbing or descending the staircase, depending on whether the dreamer is at the top or the bottom, that person is either rising or descending to meet the dreamer.
4. If an unknown male figure is either climbing or descending the staircase, then the dreamer’s intellect will be challenged in some way. If it’s an unknown female figure, then emotional matters will either rise to a major turning point, or fall to a level of normalcy.

Greatness
“Great men are they who see that spiritual is stronger than any material force, that thoughts rule the world.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Could this be how we can distinguish between the great and the average? This is an important component of greatness – the ability to know that strength within, and the intelligence to use that strength rather than to rely on outside adornments (a title, a paycheck, a uniform or a vehicle) to get things done

Elephant Journal: Halloween: This Time of Year gives us the Chance to learn Life’s Greatest Lesson. {Book Excerpt}
This time of Halloween, Samhain, Day of the Dead, longer nights, colder weather, and winter’s looming arrival is a good time to contemplate death.
Death has much to teach us.
One of the most significant tests we ever face is death. And, because of his gravity, his apparent finality, he jolts our soul.
For we often don’t get things done till the deadline. We might delay fully living if we did not hear the tick, tick, tick of time.
Tonight, now that the moon is in a waning gibbous phase and gone from the sky in early evening, find the Andromeda galaxy, the great spiral galaxy next door to our Milky Way. It’s the most distant thing you can see with your eye alone. It’s best seen in the evening at this time of year, assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere.
________________________ Patheos-Pagan: Samhain is What You Make of It
There always seems to be so much more Witchcraft and Paganism than usual at Samhain. Some of that is because there’s often just more to do. For many of us there are just more rituals to partake in, and there’s something about Autumn and Halloween that just feels like Witchcraft. You might blame the thinning of the veil for this, or maybe it’s the chillier weather, or shorter days.
“There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life.”
— Frederico Fellini
How do you ration your passion?
In what situations have you experienced your life to the fullest? Do you live your passion as fully as you can? How do you limit your experience of passion?
Passion emerges when your essence expresses itself. How do you stop yourself from fully expressing who you are?
“Without passion man is a mere latent force and possibility, like the flint which awaits the shock of the iron before it can give forth its spark.”

Self-Knowledge
“Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.”
-Henry David Thoreau
As a spiritual community, we talk a lot about “who we really are” and becoming “more of our Self.” But wanting it and actually achieving it are two different things. The first step is understanding what it is we’re really after. And it’s not fish! Self-knowledge is something intangible, and invaluable.

The Rhythm of Living: Cat’s Angel Message for May 2, 2018
May Theme: This month will bring change. While change sometimes feels scary, it is a necessary thing for our overall growth. Be willing to embrace it and allow it to happen naturally and get ready for better things.
Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living.Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.– Bruce Barton
52: Change is constant. It happens everywhere, to everyone, everyday. Sometimes it’s a gradual process that sneaks up on us and at other times is quite abrupt and can be a real wake up call. Either way change is a necessary thing that helps us to evolve and grow. The thing to remember is that change is part of the letting go process. By learning to let go of people, things and situations that no longer bring us joy we make room something better. ( new people, personal insights and new opportunities) Today the universe is asking us to release our fears and embrace change as an adventure. Don’t force or struggle, it’s time to go with the flow and let the “universal tide” carry you forward!
Our helpers for today include the Egyptian God Horus, who helps us to see situations past and present more clearly and to see the truth, which helps us to see the changes we need to make and the Egyptian Goddess Maat who provides truth and clarification when we are confronted with confusing situations and or the motives of others. Her wisdom shows us the path to the changes we need to create to move forward. Archangel Michael helps us to move forward and stop procrastinating when we know what we need to do but keep putting it off. Gain additional help with these Sacred Stones.
Our Sacred Stones today are: Crocoite helps to ease the way when big shifts take place in our lives.
