Thought For The Day: April 23, 2018″ It’s Ok To Say No Way”

Happy Monday,

Do you remember your parents saying “If so and so jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?” Our thought for today is about going long with the crowd….. or not going along with it as the case may be. If someone is pushing you to do something  that a) you don’t want to do, b) gives you that funny feeling or c) is just plain doesn’t feel right, take time to stop and think. Remember don’t be a Sheeple…. you don’t have to go along with the crowd. It’s perfectly ok, fine and dandy to say “No thanks!” and go your own way!

We all know people whose life mission involves spreading hate and discontent where ever they go. They always have something nasty to say or drama to create. People like that feed off and fueled off of what they create.


However when we make a point of spreading love and lifting people up everyone comes away better off. I’m happy, you’re happy, they’re happy………. easy peasy!

We all need to be lifted up once in a while. Paying someone a compliment is not quite a thing of the past……….. not quite. We might notice that someone looks really nice today, or is doing a great job. Maybe someone is working hard to be a better person, lose weight or taking up the slack. But how often do we really say something to acknowledge these things? Usually we just keep those things to ourselves. How about we start a new trend of handing our heartfelt compliments? Try giving one out today it’s a win-win situation!

Happy Tuesday,






Why do we sometimes allow other people to make us feel inferior? We have all had this happen and it comes down to “self doubt”.  We all have them “i don’t know if I can do this”- ” I’m too chubby” -“They won’t like me” – ‘I can’t compete with that”- “Does this make my butt look big?” Remember………… the only person you need to impress is yourself, the others don’t matter. Snarky comments or backhanded compliments show that person handing them out has their own set of insecurities or jealousies. They are attempting to raise themselves at the expense of others. The only person to look bad is themselves.

Being successful doesn’t always mean having a lot of money, expensive things or an amazing career. Sure………….. that stuff is nice but it isn’t necessary. True success can be measured by how we treat others. Everyday we have opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. Single parents, stay at home moms, caregivers, people who volunteer or people who just enjoy helping others are just a few examples of regular people who make a difference to someone everyday. It doesn’t require money, just time, the attitude of gratitude and a compassionate heart!

This is a message that we have seen before, however it’s one that worth repeating. We all go through times when we are filled with self doubt or even a kind of self loathing. Sometimes it’s of our own making and other times it’s due to someone else. But in the end we  usually come around and make peace with ourselves. The point is that it doesn’t matter what others think of us but what we think of ourselves does. When we accept and like ourselves it shows. It makes us confident and helps us to embrace our truth!

Happy Wednesday.






I have always taken this particular quote as a reference to a person’s fear of failure. Walking our life path is never easy and is filled with obstacles. (it’s filled with a lot of good things too). Sometimes we need to do something and just don’t know where to start. It feels overwhelming, so we put it off and hope it will go away. The thing is that it never does. The key is to take that first step, even if it’s a baby step. The first step is always the most difficult because it requires us to acknowledge our fears. By taking that first step we are inviting new doors to open, which lead to a second step and then third. Before you know it you have tackled this “journey” and discovered that it wasn’t so bad after all. You’ve totally got this!
