This causes stress, anxiety, and worry. The truth is that if we put aside what we can’t control, delegate duties or just let go of things that are no longer relevant then we feel more productive. One of the keys to a healthy relationship lies in our ability to remain true to ourselves and continue being our own person rather than an extension of someone else. Relationships require both compromises, concessions, and give and take. However, it’s easy to lose pieces of yourself by trying to fit in, trying to live up to the expectations of others, or simply giving in because it’s easier to do so. Remember to always be yourself and be your own person. Our differences can make us stronger and more resilient.
