Abundance is Everywhere: Cat’s AngelMessage for September 22, 2022
September’s Theme: “What Do I Want?” “What do I need?” These are some of the questions that we often ask ourselves. So as we head into Autumn and the time of introspection dig deep and harvest the answers that will help you on your path.

Today’s Message:Abundance is Everywhere
922: Today is the Autumn Equinox, Mabon, or Harvest Home to those of us who follow the pagan traditions. Gratitude is our keyword and it goes hand in hand with this seasonal celebration. Faith is part of gratitude, and the stronger our faith the more we manifest and the more we have to be grateful for. This is a good time to perform a self-check and think about the gifts and miracles that have blessed your life so far this year. By looking back we can see how far we have come from spring and the thought seeds that we planted at that time. Make sure to nurture the “new growth” and to harvest what’s ready now. Embrace your blessings with a grateful heart and affirm that you have faith that they will continue to be abundant in your life.
Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Ariel helps us to embrace our own divine magick which strengthens our manifestation process. Since she works with the earth and environment (nature angels and sprite too) she can help those unfamiliar with the Sacred Feminine work connect with her.
The Ascended Master Mother Mary provides us with all forms of healing. She surrounds us with her gentle energy and helps to fill our hearts with love as she imparts feelings of peace and safety as she gently heals the dark, hidden places within while showing us the path that leads to compassion and forgiveness which are essential to healing ourselves and helping others. She helps to fill our hearts with peace and love and helps everyone regardless of path or religion
The Ascended Master Krishna can also be honored today as we ask him to help us see life’s blessings more clearly.
The Greek goddess Persephone teaches us how to balance between light and dark and the importance of searching the shadows for what is lost or forgotten. Persephone tells us “Don’t be afraid to unearth what lies beneath or has been hidden. By shedding light in dark or weedy places you often find treasures that you had forgotten or set aside. These treasures can form the foundations that you need to navigate your path in life.”
Today’s Sacred Stones include:
Tree Agate (Dendritic) strengthens your connection to the plant kingdom and helps you to enjoy each moment. It is also known as the stone of plentitude and promotes abundance while showing us the “wealth” we already have.
Amethyst is a powerful protector that helps to shield us from unwanted energies while dispelling anxiety and fear. It helps the decision-making process by promoting common sense and spiritual insight. It also enables us to set realistic goals and sets us on the road to personal achievement. Amethyst is also associated with Archangel Michael. It calms and quiets internal chatter and “monkey mind”, which in turn enables us to relax and allow grounding and balancing to take place which help us to focus.
Use Carnelian for motivation and increased creativity. It teaches us to trust in ourselves and helps us find creative solutions to current issues as it boosts self-esteem and invites us to embrace our personal power while promoting positive life choices which enhance our ability to draw new forms of prosperity and abundance.
Blessings for a magickal day! Cat

Mabon Activities: This is such a beautiful season to go outside! Take some nature walks and collect pinecones, acorns, colored leaves, and interesting seeds and pods for decorating your home and altar. Other activities include making gourd rattles, harvesting from your garden, sharing your garden’s abundance with others, fill your bird feeders with treats for your avian friends. Most of all, count your blessings. Have everyone in your family make a list of all the things they are thankful for and then read them aloud. I will also include my favorite activity…” feeding the trees”. We share a drink of apple cider or wine with our trees.
Mabon (pronounced May-bon, May-bone, May-bun, May-bawn) is celebrated at the time of the Autumn Equinox on or around September 21. This festival marks the completion of the harvest begun at Lughnasadh. It is named after the Celtic god Mabon. Other names for this Lesser Sabbat include Harvest Home, Festival of Dionysus, The Feast of Avalon, Mea’n Fo’mhair (druid), Winter Finding (Norse), Equinozio di Autunnio (Strega).

On this day, day and night are again equal and time holds its breath as the Dying God gets ready to leave his physical body and begin the great journey to the Summerland. He sees this as the last great adventure of renewal and rebirth. The Goddess who is drowsing in the waning warmth of summer feels her love getting ready to depart as well as the new life growing in her womb.
The threefold theme for this Sabbat is Balance- Gratitude- Reflection. This is also a time of balance not only within nature but within ourselves and our lives. On the great wheel, Mabon is balanced by Ostara. It is traditional to clean the unnecessary clutter from your home and life as well as blessing the thresholds of your house. Look back on everything you have done in the past year and with your life. Congratulate yourself on your accomplishments and make note of the areas you need to improve upon. Give thanks to the Lady and Lord, yourself, and to everyone who has helped to get where you are on this day! This is a wonderful time to do spells of balancing in preparation for the time of reflection that will be coming up at Samhain.
Good Morning & Blessed Autumn Equinox Beautiful Souls! Grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.

ThoughtCo:Grapevine Legends and Lore
Much like the apple, the grape is one of those fruits that has a significant amount of magic associated with it. First and foremost, the grape harvest—and the wine that it produces—has been associated with fertility deities like Egypt’s Hathor, the lusty Roman Bacchus, and his Greek counterpart, Dionysus.
“The tale of Mabon of Modron, the Welsh God, (the “great son of the great mother”), also known as the Son of Light, the Young Son, or Divine Youth, is celebrated. The Equinox is also the birth of Mabon, from his mother Modron, the Guardian of the Outerworld, the Healer, the Protector, the Earth. Mabon was taken after he is a mere three nights old (some variations of the legend say he is taken after three years). Through the wisdom of the living animals — the Stag, Blackbird, Owl, Eagle and Salmon — Mabon is freed from his mysterious captivity. All the while Mabon had rested within his mother’s womb; a place of nurturing and challenge. With strength and lessons gained within the magickal Outerworld (Modron’s womb), Mabon is soon reborn as his mother’s Champion, the Son of Light, wielding the strength and wisdom acquired during his captivity.”

Autumn is a time to harvest the fruits of your work and your life. It’s also a powerful period of transformation and letting go.
Autumn offers a special gift from the trees: the splendor of transforming foliage. A light show of blazing red, orange, and golden leaves enchants many locations, a feast for an empath’s senses.
Mabon, also known as the autumn equinox, is the second harvest festival in the pagan wheel of the year. At this time all or the majority of grain crops have been harvested and stored for winter, and there is an abundance of fruits and vegetables. This is a time of plenty, gratitude, celebrating the stability of home and hearth, and sharing our bounty with those who are less fortunate.

I am thankful for my family, friends, and pets when so many spend their lives alone………
I am thankful for having a loving spouse when many live with =buse……….
I am thankful for the food on my table when others are starving………
I am thankful for my job when so many are out of work……….
I am thankful for just being here and being able to participate in the adventure called life………
On this day I remember how important it is to give thanks everyday even when it seems like I have nothing to be thankful for
On this day I give thanks for all that I have no matter how small it seems.

Shining at about a visual magnitude of 2.5, it’s the only bright star in Cepheus, a faint pattern of stars that traces out the shape of a house. The whole world is made up of opposites. Dark and light are just one pair. And we really can’t have one without the other. When light hits the earth it creates shadows. I don’t follow the dates on a calendar, I watch and feel what Mother Nature is doing and the energies around me. In my corner of South East England autumn is beginning to show her face, so for me the season of autumn equinox has begun.
For many Pagans, autumn is a time of giving thanks. Although this is the most obvious around the Mabon holiday, if you live in the United States, most of your friends and family will be giving thanks in November.
MBG: An Autumn Equinox Ritual That Pulls Its Power From The Elements
The wheel of the year is turning, and the autumn equinox is coming up on Tuesday, September 22. For this special time of year, thousands of people stand in awe at sacred sites around the world—from the pyramids at Chichen Itza in Yucatán to Machu Picchu in Peru. Autumnal festivals play a prominent role in Native American culture, Iranian tradition, and beyond.
Jason Mankey’s post about the Autumnal Equinox caught my attention the other day. In it he writes:
Most of us probably live our lives out of balance. We either focus too much on work, or not enough on it, and some of us prioritize doing things for ourselves instead of doing things for others
Elephant Journal: A Grounding Prayer for the Autumn Equinox.
It’s been a no good, very bad week. Mercury is in retrograde and my kids have been having epic tantrums. A dear family member had a heart attack, and we got some bad news affecting our finances.
I’ve been in icy fear all week. Cortisol tears through my veins. My mind races, scavenging up ways to cut expenses and bring in more income. I feel a bit like someone has died, and I’m tumbling through the stages of grief from that chill of fear to a thick sadness to simmering anger.
Well hello, fall! Even though it happens year after year, the arrival of autumn is always a little surprising. Almost as if on a switch, one day late in the summer you feel it – a subtle crispness in the air. And before you know it, it’s pumpkin-spice-everything everywhere. We are suddenly swathed in sweaters and wearing boots and bombarded by shades of orange, often even before the thermometer warrants it.

“Generosity lies less in giving much than in giving at the right moment.” — Jean De La Bruyère
While it’s important to give, it’s also essential that we not give more than we can afford. Only you can determine the appropriate amount of time or money you can give away, but it should not cause you hardship. We need to respect our own needs as well as the needs of others.
When do you give more than you can afford?
“Generosity is another quality which, like patience, letting go, non-judging, and trust, provides a solid foundation for mindfulness practice. Daily Wisdom September 22, 2020
Light
“Science and art may invent splendid modes of illuminating the apartments of the opulent; but these are all poor and worthless compared with the light which the sun pours freely, impartially, over hill and valley, which kindles daily the eastern and western sky; and so the common lights of reason and conscience and love are of more worth and dignity than the rare endowments which give celebrity to a few.”
-William Ellery Channing (1780-1842) The light of day, the morning sun steaming through our window gives us a sense of newness, and optimism. We share the sun, it warms each of us without playing favorites. Songs are written about the sun, and the happiness it brings.
Harvest Gratitude:Cat’s Angel Message for September 22, 2020
September’s Theme: “What Do I Want?” This is a question that we often ask ourselves. So as we head into Autumn and the time of introspection ask yourself that very question.

Harvest gratitude and fill your basket with what you have accomplished and grown in this cycle. ~Cat

922: Today is the Autumn Equinox, Mabon or Harvest Home to those of us who follow the pagan traditions. Gratitude is our keyword and it goes hand in hand with this seasonal celebration. Faith is part of gratitude, and the stronger our faith the more we manifest and the more we have to be grateful for. This is a good time to perform a self check and think about the gifts and miracles that have blessed your life so far this year. By looking back we can see how far we have come from spring and the thought seeds that we planted at that time. Make sure to nurture the “new growth” and to harvest what’s ready now. Embrace your blessings with a grateful heart and affirm that you have faith that they will continue to be abundant in your life.

Today we honor the goddess aspects of the Sacred Feminine. They are the Earth Mothers and Harvest goddesses that are associated with this harvest festival (Demeter, Persephone, Pomona).
The Irish Goddess Dana helps us to generate abundance through gratitude. She says, “While you wait for these blessings to arrive fill your heart with feelings of abundance. Engage yourself in things that make you feel abundant!” Your energy is also linked to the energy of the Divine. Acknowledge and strengthen this connection as it allows you to handcraft your dreams.”

Today’s Sacred Stones include:
Aquamarine balance’s emotions that can become frayed during the changes that new cycles create. It helps us to move forward and navigate the ebb and flow of life. This stone also shields the aura, aligns the chakras and promotes communication from the higher realms.
Tree Agate (Dendritic) to strengthen your connection to the plant kingdom and help you to enjoy each moment. It is also known as the stone of plenitude and promotes abundance while showing us the “wealth” we already have.
Malachite. Which helps to support friendships and promotes empathy towards others. It also strengthens our ability to absorb and process information so that we can show our feelings in a positive way. Malachite helps those making aggressive personal or life changes. It brings a sense of adventure to our transformation as it shows us what is blocking our spiritual growth and the best way to move forward.
Blessings for a magickal day! Cat
