Oh, good gigantic smile o’ the brown old earth,
This autumn morning! How he sets his bones
To bask i’ the sun, and thrusts out knees and feet
For the ripple to run over in its mirth;
Listening the while, where on the heap of stones
The white breast of the sea-lark twitters sweet.

Spirituality & Health: 5 Ways to Not Be Irritated All the Time
BY KATHRYN DRURY WAGNER
“I’m taking this car and moving to Florida!” the elderly man in front of me at the DMV raged. He held up the line for a good 20 minutes, all over a measly $25 fee. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person in line thinking, “By all means, head for that state line… and now.” But you can’t completely blame the guy. Sometimes life triggers what can feels like an endless case of road rage. Even us yogis and meditators aren’t immune from it. Every little thing starts to grate, from the headline in the Washington Post to the #$% convection oven. Woah. If you feel like you are living life in a constant state of irritation, here are a few ways to calm down.
MBG: You Don’t Always Have To Apologize. Here’s When You Should — And When You Shouldn’t
We’re in the midst of a movement against “overapologizing”—especially for women, who tend to apologize more often than men because they have a lower threshold for what counts as offensive behavior. To be clear, caring about how your actions affect others is rarely a bad thing. But the deeper problem seems to stem from the lack of understanding around why we apologize. Sometimes it’s just a reflex. And sometimes, it’s not coming from a place of concern at all.
Daily Good: The Monk, the Butcher & the Origins of Deep Counting
Our lives are based on what we count and how we count it. Somik Raha asks what would be different in our lives if we changed how we engage with counting. Raha takes us through stories of what is meritorious, which leads us into deep counting– counting which facilitates meaningful experiences. He then brings us into the understanding of how making distinctions is an act of creation and is juxtaposed against perceiving ourselves as nothing. This is the transcendent loop of infinity and seen in the scientific dance of making finer distinctions within a community, which has revealed a picture of larger, more meaningful truth. This truth is shared through stories that lead us to reflect on what counts and helps us transcend division and touch the reality of integration
Elephant Journal: Uranus in Opposition—The Divine Union of Masculine & Feminine.
At midnight, on October 23rd, when the Sun reached its greatest distance below the horizon, Uranus stood directly opposite the sun in the night sky, shining blue and bright in the constellation Aries.
According to ancient Egyptian astronomy, Aries was associated with Amon-Ra, the king of gods, who was depicted as a man with the curled horns of a ram, representing masculine fertility and creativity.

Patheos-Pagan: Herbal Ways to Stay Healthy This Season
Changing of the Seasons Does Not Have to Mean Illness
It almost seems like I woke up one day and it was October. Dazed and confused, I wonder where the golden days of summer have disappeared to. If you leave in New England, like I do, this past summer was a tad disappointing. It seemed to rain A LOT. Do not get me wrong, I love rain.
“[Manifestation is] the art of fashioning a co- creative, synchronistic, and mutually supportive relationship between the inner creative energies of a person’s own mind and spirit and their counterpart within the larger world in order to bring a new and desirable situation into being.”
— David Spangler
I have always understood that Spirit works through us. Only recently have I really come to appreciate how Spirit works WITH us. The divine life force partners with our unique perspective, our passion and our skills to create new life situations.
We are not passive vessels for God’s will. To realize our highest potential, we must co-create with the divine.
“We must see ourselves as co-manifestors — partners in manifestation — all engaged in the primal act of unfoldment and emergence. Each act of manifestation may be directed toward a specific outcome, but it also contributes to the greater manifestation of the wholeness, love, compassion, and creativity of the primal source from which we all come.” — David Spangler
A Note from the Universe
If people could only glimpse the unimaginable depth of the great love they were born of and to which they’ll swiftly return, and they realized that their choice to be “here” was made from the zenith of their own intergalactic brilliance, and they understood how much more their lives have made possible for others who will follow, I do believe they’d cut themselves a bit more slack, smell more flowers, and hold more hands.
I got you, babe –
Today’s Recipe: Green Apple Monsters
Aren’t these little monsters adorable? They’re mostly fruit, so you won’t feel too bad munching on them. Play around with their teeth and eye spacing to give them each some character. After slicing the apples, this would be a great edible craft for kids. Have fun!

“To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.”
Think of this from a purely economical point of view. When you invest in blame, judgement, criticism and victimization, what do you receive in return? Does an attempt at making someone else feel bad bring any real benefit to you personally? Or could it actually cause you harm? Now, knowing that we are each responsible for our own choices and responses, think about this: When you invest in forgiveness, acceptance, understanding and harmony, what do you receive in return? Here there are many rewards! Among them: peace of mind, coherence, stability and love.
Beliefnet: 6 Powerful Choices That Will Change Everything
You need to make a fundamental change and making choices are part of the evolution of this method. Choices can be for the good or for the bad, depending on the election.
