Weaving its filmy network; thin and bright.

Herbal Muse: Spiced Chai

Sipping spiced chai tea on a chilly day is pure bliss! This mix makes a great gift packaged in small mason jars or pantry jars, tied with homespun ribbon or raffia.

MBG: Burnout: How To Know If You Have It (And How To Overcome It If You Do)

It’s no surprise: Americans are exhausted. In fact, one study found that nearly 40 percent of Americans wake up most days of the week still feeling sleepy.

Elephant Journal: I don’t need Anything Fancy—Just You.

I’ve missed you.
How does life get so busy? The days—one after another—pile up like a stack of blurry Polaroids on my desk.
“There isn’t enough time,” we mutter, citing tiredness as our half-assed excuse.

But that’s a lie. And we know it.
There’s no time?

MNN: Huge numbers of frozen sea turtles are washing up in Cape Cod

An alarming new reality is washing up on the shores of Cape Cod.

The waters may be getting too cold, too fast, for sea turtles to handle. As a result, conservationists are seeing wave after wave of the endangered animals wash up on Massachusetts’ shores — apparently surprised by the sudden temperature shift.

EarthSky News: Moon and Regulus late night to dawn November 28 and 29

As darkness is giving way to dawn, notice the relationship between the moon, Regulus, and a very bright object in the direction of sunrise. Venus is the 3rd-brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. If you’re up before dawn, you might also see the 1st-magnitude star Spica near Venus (which Venus outshines by well over a hundredfold).

Patheos-Pagan: A North American Perspective on Traditional Witchcraft

Numerous individuals are hearing the call of what has become known as traditional witchcraft. The primal practices, focus on the spirits of the land and one’s ancestral ties are providing centeredness in an all too modern world. With online covens and crystal cleansing apps, even the rustic practices of magick and neo-paganism are being transformed by modern innovations.

Inner Journey:

“Peace comes not from the absence of conflict, but from the ability to cope with it.”
— Unknown Source

Angeles Arrien says that life will be simple if we follow the four-fold way counselled by indigenous peoples:
1.Show up, being present with all four mental, emotional, physical and spiritual intelligences.
2.Pay attention to what has heart and meaning.
3.Tell the truth without blame or judgment.
4.Be open to outcome, not attached to outcome.

“Peace is not won by those who fiercely guard their differences, but by those who with open minds and hearts seek out connections.”
— Katherine Paterson

A Note from the Universe

This is the Universe, and I just wanted you to know, once and for all, that time is on your side, that space is just an illusion, and that matter is simply my little way of showing you exactly what you’ve been thinking lately.

Now that we’ve got that squared away, think yourself an amazing day, dearest.

At ease,

The Universe

“I grew up in a gentler, slower time. When Ike was president, Christmases were years apart, and now it’s about five months from one to the next.”

-Garrison Keillor

There is so much truth in this… I’ve been getting Christmas catalogs in the mail since August! Our society has gotten so retail oriented, so marketing savvy, that we’re always months ahead of ourselves. Whether it’s holiday sales, or movie previews, or upcoming specials, we’ve been trained to think ahead or be left behind. So we can’t really enjoy the moment we’re in because we’re too busy planning for the time that’s yet to come. How sad. But we can do something about it! Resolve to live in the now. Experience this moment of time fully. Now is the only time there is

Spiritual Unite: What Does Soul Connection Feel Like?

You might wonder what does soul connection feel like, especially if you are in such a relationship or you are looking for your true love. To know about it genuinely, first, you should learn what a soul connection is? As the name indicates, soul connection is the association of the two souls; both of these souls are from the same

MBG: How To Use Essential Oils For Seasonal Allergies

When it comes down to it, seasonal allergies can be downright miserable. According to recent research, allergies are getting worse every year and scientists say it’s due to climate change. The characteristic symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, sinus pain, and a general feeling of “yuck”can be worse than the worst of colds, or even the flu! No wonder millions of people race to their local pharmacy and doctor’s office every year looking for over-the-counter and prescription medications to find some relief.

Spirituality & Health: 3 Earth-Friendly Swaps for Summer

Earth Day is over, but summer is just starting to heat up. It’s so liberating to get outside and enjoy all that Mother Nature offers, from long hikes in the woods and mountains, to swimming in beautiful beaches and lakes, and exploring desert trails. But we have to take care of Mother Nature, too, just as she cares for us. For this week, let’s look at three ways we can be nicer to the planet, all summer long

Elephant Journal: Dharma Woman: Reflections of a Modern Buddhist Woman.

I consider myself extremely fortunate that I’ve experienced a great deal of hardship in my life.
Without these hardships, I doubt that I would have become the compassionate human being that I am today. Without the hardships I’ve experienced, I may never have found my Buddhist path.

EarthSky News: It’s nesting season for sea turtles

Adult female sea turtles – on beaches from North Carolina to Texas and throughout the Caribbean – are crawling out of the ocean and laying their eggs. Here’s an update from a biologist who’s been studying these turtles for 36 years.

Patheos-Pagan: The Ordinary Life Of A Witch – Dishes, Dinner, & Devotion

Today started out like most every other day at the Witches Next Door’s house. I woke up first and went into the kitchen. Lighting the stove with an absent minded click of my fingers, I brewed the morning coffee and filled the mugs from across the room by reciting effundam et lac. It’s one of our favourite spells. We use it all the time.

Inner Journey:

“Activity is not achievement. It is not enough to rush about beginning a lot of things and keeping busy. A well-spent life is one that rounds out what it has begun.”
— Eknath Easwaran

Intention and the words we speak are powerful. When we say we are going to do something, we set energy in motion. When we fail to act or complete our intention, we drain our energy. We lose our power.

We would be wise to choose our words carefully — to really mean what we say and to honour the commitments we have made.

“Genius begins great works; labor alone finishes them.”
— Joseph Joubert

“Good to begin well, better to end well.”
— English proverb

A Note from the Universe

Some people just have big hearts. And with this gift they’re very often able to feel, offer, and show far more love than they receive from those around them. Which, at times, is a heavy load to bear. So today I’d like to remind them, and especially you, that the sun asks not that the moon and planets help brighten each day, but relishes her role as a keeper of the light and a bringer of the dawn. A role much like your own.

From the Sun and Me –

Today’s Recipe: Strawberry Limeade

This is great for when you have guests or are just wanting a drink. It tastes great.

•4 limes, cut into chunks
•6 cups cold water
•1 cup of sugar
•10 strawberries, frozen
•6 Tbsp. of sweet condensed milk.

Mix sugar with the water; stir well. Add 1/2 of sugar water to the blender, with half the limes. Put the lid on and pulse the mixer five times. Then pour through a fine mesh strainer into the pitcher you are using too serve with. Now add the other half of the sugar water and limes to blender, and repeat the process. Then add condensed milk and stir. Add frozen strawberries. Makes it cold and adds strawberry flavour.

I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time.” -Anna Freud

We are wholly complete and capable human beings. Perhaps our greatest lesson in life is to understand this. We don’t need to look outside ourselves for anything. All that we have, all that we are, is more than enough – it’s perfect!
