ThoughtCo: New Beginnings Ritual
There are many times in our life when all of us feel like we need a new start. Whether it’s at the beginning of a new year, a new moon phase, or even just because we’re having tough times in our life, sometimes it helps to sit down, breathe a bit, and focus on making things change.

MBG: A Mindfulness Practice To Burn Bright Instead Of Burn Out This Decade
Over the past roughly two years, we’ve all seen a rise in the conversations about inflammation in our bodies and gut imbalances that are leading to other health complications. In my work as a reiki healer and spiritual empowerment coach, I’ve seen fatigue among so many of my peers and clients.

Elephant Journal: Joy & Bliss are Overrated: 5 Ways to Settle into Contentment for the New Year.
Sometimes I think joy is overrated.
We’re told to follow our bliss, to seek joy. But I’ve come to believe that contentment is the real key to happiness.
If I’m not feeling joyful, I feel like I’ve underachieved. If I’m not dwelling in waves of bliss, I feel like a failure. But contentment? Now that’s something I can get behind.

Snowy owls, despite their white plumage that allows them to blend into their Arctic surroundings, are easily recognizable. They’re beloved as a symbol of winter and as a companion to Harry Potter.

EarthSky News: Moon phase a clue to the sun’s position
In late December 2019 – if you look in a clear western sky after sunset – you’ll easily spot the very bright planet Venus, along with a waxing crescent moon. There might be earthshine illuminating the moon’s darkened portion. You know, of course, that the moon changes its phase. But did you know …..

Inner Journey:
STRUGGLING WITH A DECISION?
“You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.”
— Dale Carnegie
My anxiety level spiked the other day as I wrestled with whether to choose option A or option B. I was so afraid of making the wrong choice!
And then I remembered, with deep gratitude, Susan Jeffers’ sage advice: There are no wrong decisions! Whatever we might choose in life will bring valuable experiences if we are open to receive them.
“Lighten up! Whatever happens as a result of your decision, you’ll handle it!”
— Susan Jeffers

A Note from the Universe
I want you to know that I’ve ordered up another year for you.
Think I’ll call it 2020.
I’m going to put most of the same people from 2019 in it, since you all think so much alike. But there’ll also be a few new, very cool cats coming to play – give them some time to grow-up though.
And I’m going to have things start off pretty much exactly where they left off in 2019, for continuity’s sake. Flips folks out too much when I don’t.
All in all, 365 more days in paradise… and only one request of you:
DREAM BIGGER.
Coolio?
Let’s do this,

Vegetarianism
“I have known many meat eaters to be far more nonviolent than vegetarians.”
-Mohandas K. Gandhi
Vegetarianism is just one choice we can make in our lives. But just being a vegetarian doesn’t make a person a saint. We are faced with many choices every day of our lives. Yes, it is important to treat animals with love and respect. It is also important to live in peace among our fellow human beings. The kindness and compassion we feel for one friend, or pet, or family, or species, can extend out into the world to all living creatures, and create peace and harmony for all of us.

Daily Tarot: The Hermit
Smooth your way through the day by being as respectable as time and circumstance require. Fit in, look and sound the part that you’ve been assigned, and get a lot done with very little or no resistance. In general, being respectable can be a good thing and serve you well, especially when dealing with new people or with those who don’t know you very well.
