122: Within each of us lives the powers of manifestation and creation. To successfully bring our dreams and goals to life the Universe has given us the sacred tools of thought, faith and action. By using these gifts correctly and sending out positive intentions we activate our power as a creator. The goal is to plant your thought seeds (intentions) and nurture them to maturity through faith and action. Today our angels are asking us to acknowledge and honor the gifts that we’ve been given. If they are a little dusty clean them off and set them to work. Stay focused on your goals and stay present as this will help you to experience new perspectives and pathways. Remember to assist others as doors open for you because it keeps the energy flowing and creates even more opportunity.

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:

Archangel Uriel teaches us how to access our creative database. he reminds us that sometimes the best way to solve a problem is to use a non-conventional approach. He gives us the essential information that we need when we need it. This assists us during the manifestation process by enhancing our problem-solving skills so that we can make the decisions that are best for our current situations.

The Ascended Master Jesus helps us with all areas of faith and teaches us that true miracles often come in small packages. He also provides a clear and direct line of communication to the Divine as well as teaching us how to open up to receive divine information.

The Mayan goddess Ixchel helps to get our creative juices flowing by breaking through the barriers we have erected that are blocking our progress. Call on her if you are starting something new. ” Clear your mind and allow the creative source to fill you. New things are waiting for you to embrace them!”

Today’s Sacred Stones include:

Crazy Lace Agate gently boosts our self confidence and concentration while reestablishing our overall feelings of wholeness and well-being. It’s an excellent grounding stone that helps to bring balance between our negative and positive emotions

Jade can provide aid in problem-solving and shows us the path to reaching our goals and actualizing our dreams. It also promotes emotional balance and self-confidence as it gently dissipates negativity and brings peace on all levels. Jade which attracts both prosperity and good luck. Jade helps us to understand that we are spiritual beings on this very human journey we call life. It stimulates knowledge and ideas.

Larimar helps to remove self-imposed barriers that may be keeping us from accepting our personal power and stops self-sabotaging behavior by bringing out the best in us. It helps us to see the things that we have to be grateful for and the tiny miracles that we take for granted. This sky blue stone also helps to ease our obsession for material things and shows us how to put things into perspective so that you manifest what you really need. It shows us how to go with the flow.

Thought For The Day: Jan. 22, 2021 “Appreciative Gratitude’

Happy Friday,

This is a quote about gratitude. To truly be happy we must be grateful for the things that we have. All things have value, from the small and mundane to the large and fancy. Those people who continually want more often have no concept of gratitude. They accumulate more and more and are never satisfied. The one thing that this pandemic has taught us is that we can be content with what we have and appreciate the blessings we receive more fully.

Inner Journey: THE KEY TO CREATIVITY

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge islimited. Imagination encircles the world.”
— Albert Einstein

Do you know the key to creativity?

It rhymes with weed. It produces the oak tree. We often eat it or grind it up for flour. It can mean cause or origination. You guessed it. It is SEED.

Our minds love to associate one thing to another. But as we get stuck in very fixed patterns of thinking, we think of fewer and fewer connections. We are ruled by habits, associations and automatic responses. So we must stimulate our thinking with lots of different seeds to chart new paths in our brains.

“Just as our eyes need light in order to see, our minds need ideas in order to conceive.”
— Napoleon Hill

Sleep

“Of all the soft, delicious functions of nature this is the chiefest; what a happiness it is to man, when the anxieties and passions of the day are over.”

-Laurence Sterne (1713-1768)

Sometimes it just feels like a big relief to finally crawl into bed at night. Knowing that the day is done, that we’ve done all we can do with the time that we had, we can sleep peacefully. Tomorrow is another day. The sun comes up in the morning and we begin again. But while we sleep, we can be still. It is a simple pleasure to close our eyes and tie the day up with a sigh.

Inner Journey: DON’T THINK AWAY YOUR FEELINGS

“When emotions are managed by the heart, they heighten your awareness of the world around you and add sparkle to life. The result is new intelligence and a new view of life.”
— Doc Childre and Howard Martin

How do you intellectualize your emotions?

Many of us live so much in our heads that we intellectualize our emotions. We analyze, rationalize and explain them away so quickly that we don’t actually experience them.

Learn to honour your emotions at all times by being willing to feel them. Of course, you may need to exercise some judgment over how and when you express them.

“Learning to be aware of feelings, how they arise and how to use them creatively so they guide us to happiness, is an essential lifetime skill.”

Just Believe: Cat’s Angel Message for January 20, 2021

January’s Theme: Stay focused on your desires and not your fears or past happenings. Our thoughts are ready to manifest into reality and by staying focused on what’s positive we lessen the power of the things that we fear.

_____________________________

120: There’s an old saying that goes ‘seeing is believing”. This is true to a certain extent. Today, our angels are asking us to believe in and have faith in the unseen. When we send our thoughts and intentions (seed thoughts) out into the universe we must have faith in what we cannot see and trust that things will work out in the best way possible. This requires us to be patient. While we wait we can help ourselves by holding our dreams and goals in an optimistic light and by using our current skills and talents or by investing in new skills that will help to create new opportunities. Remember that these skills will be necessary as these new paths open up before us. Your requests have been heard and the wheels are in motion so continue to work toward your dreams and goals because the energy that you send out is essential for the seed thoughts you have planted.

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:

Archangel Sandalphon hears all requests and makes sure that they get to the Angel or Ascended Master who is best able to handle them. Ask him to help you clearly understand the information that you receive (his favorite mode of communication is music and he is associated with the color turquoise!). Sandalphon also provides us with an emotional boost of courage. This is important as it helps us to make bold decisions that will help us on our path.

The Ascended Master El Morya can help if you have trouble staying present and focused in the now. He teaches us the importance of putting aside what we cannot control so that we are free to think about other things. He reminds us that it is our faith that keeps us grounded so that we can embrace both the patience and the clear decision making needed to make things happen.

The Hindu Goddess Devi helps us to find meaning in our lives and gently guides us in learning to follow our own inner wisdom. She says “Take my hand and let me guide you on your journey of self discovery. You need only look within to find your true meaning. Release your cares to me and I will purify your heart and spirit so that new information can be sent to you. “

Today’s Sacred Stones include:

Amber which bestows a positive mental state and helps us find balance, patience and aids in decision making. Use Amber to enhance your earth connection and to promote grounding. It is also a great healing stone (it’s actually tree resin) that helps to remove energetic impurities from the body.

Beryl teaches us how to fulfill our true potential. It helps us to see both sides of a situation, opportunity or problem and promotes strategic planning so that we can use it to our best advantage.

Kyanite is a spiritual stone that helps us to connect to our guides by opening the paths of communication. It also allows us to speak from the heart and to speak our truth as it cuts through the things that are keeping us from moving forward.

Celtic Tree Month of Rowan January 21 – February 17

Rowan by Irina Naumets/freeimages.com

Celtic Tree Month of Rowan / Luis (Lweesh) January 21 – February 17.

TREE INFOMATION

The Rowan tree is also known as the Mountain Ash and is a member of the rose family. They can be found growing among ancient settlements and ruins in Europe where they grow “like weeds”, although many of these trees were planted there as well. Rowans can grow almost anywhere and do well in poor soil, which would explain their growth in many areas. It also grows well in high altitude .This tree grows up to 40 ft. in height and produces flowers in May, after which come the red berries. The berries are said to be sacred food of the gods which were jealously guarded and kept away from man. The tree itself has a round, open top crown and the leaves which turn red in the fall are 4-8 inches in length and oblong with serrated edges along the point. The berries grow in clusters and each berry has a small design that resembles a pentagram on it. It was this pentagram “design” that linked this tree to witchcraft during the 15th and 16th centuries, it’s reputation became so negative that herbalist’s stopped using it for fear of being labeled as a witch.

The bark from the Rowan tree is used for tanning leather and making dye, while the berries are edible and make great jams and jellies. The berries are also still used in herbal medicine as a tea for treating diarrhea and they are very high in vitamin C which make them useful for treating colds.

ROWAN IN MYTH & MAGICK

Rowan is also known as a fairy tree and as such it is not advisable to cut branches from the tree itself. If you need to cut branches from one you should always leave the Fae a gift of yourself, like hair or fingernail clippings. By using this tree it is said that you will be protected by the Fae themselves. However, fallen branches are the best if you are going to use the wood. Rowan is thought to be one of the sacred druid trees and can be found growing near many of the ancient stone circles and is said to have played a main role in some of their ceremonies.

In popular folklore Rowan trees could be planted next to your home as protection against lightning and to promote good luck. Sprigs of Rowan could also be hung over doors in the home to ward off the evil eye or if you wore one, it kept the fairies from kidnapping you. They were even planted in churchyards to watch over the dead and protect the living from ghosts. One very popular European custom that was still being used approximately 100 years ago was the construction of rowan wood crosses. These “ornaments” of protection were made from twigs and tied with red thread. Every home had one over the front door as did seedbeds, barns and pigsty’s. They were also given to babies before they could be baptized. At Beltane the berries were sewn into a circle, and hung over windows to prevent lightning strikes or strung into necklaces to ward off the evil eye. The berries were also added to healing charms to help the patient to recover faster.

Runestaves were at one time made from Rowan wood simply because of it’s protective powers as are wands and dowsing rods.

Use Rowan in spells for blessings, grounding & centering, protection, warding against psychic attack, protection against enchantment.

ROWAN PEOPLE

People born in the Month of Rowan are visionaries and strong humanitarians. They are very passionate in what they believe in and can lean toward over-zealous at times. New Moon Rowan people (born in the 1st two weeks of the month) are easily frustrated with others who fail to see or help with the greater awareness of issues like racism, bigotry and gereal ignorance. Full Moon Rowan People (born in the last 2 weeks of the month) tend to make big promises, which are usually more than they can handle. They come through to an extent but are unable to completely follow through.

Daily Good: Creativity & COVID-19

Our genius is to understand and stand beneath the set of stars present at our birth, and from that place, to seek the hidden single star, over the night horizon, we did not know we were following.

  • David Whyte –

Creativity & COVID-19

“In some recent discussions with friends who are also creatives, I have heard a variety of responses to the question, ‘How has Covid-19 affected your creativity?’Some have been inspired to create new work. Others have spoken about a year of fallowness. It’s a term we rarely if ever hear in a culture devoted to–or better put, obsessed with–constant productivity. Take agribusiness: every acre and every creature must give maximum yield all the time, even though that is un-natural. Nature functions in cycles, and one part of that is rest, which leads to renewal. Traditionally, that was the way people understood cultivation: “And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and gather in the increase thereof; but the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie fallow…” Mirka Knaster shares more in this thoughtful essay. { read more }

EarthSky News: Moon, Mars, Uranus January 19, 20, 21

These next several evenings – January 19, 20 and 21, 2021 – watch for the waxing moon to sweep into the neighborhood of the bright planet Mars and and the faint planet Uranus, the 4th and 7th planets outward from the sun, respectively. (Incidentally, the 5th and 6th planets from the sun – Jupiter and Saturn – are not visible at present, because they sit too close to the afterglow of sunset.)

Inner Journey: REVIEW YOUR LIFE

“Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.”
— James Levin

Take a few minutes today to reflect on what has happened recently and to put the last week in perspective. What made an impact on you this last week? What do you want to set as a goal for next week?

Reflection helps us step back from the details of our lives and see the bigger picture with fresh eyes. It’s worth a few moments of your time. Review your week and come up with at least one conclusion, insight or learning and write it in your journal.

“Just because we increase the speed of information doesn’t mean we can increase the speed of decisions. Pondering, reflecting and ruminating are undervalued skills in our culture.”
— Dale Dauten

Sleep
“Sleep is that golden chain that ties health and our bodies together.”

-Thomas Dekker

Any doctor will tell you that sleep is an important aspect of our overall health. This is the time when we can really rest and heal. We go, go, go all day long – we put so much stress on our minds and bodies working all the time, and running around everywhere. When we sleep this is the only time we really don’t expect ourselves to do anything! And this is the time that our bodies can do the work that it needs to do to keep us in top form.

Daily Tarot: The Pope

Today can be easy if you don’t try to swim upstream. Do what’s expected of you (and what you need to do, anyway) and don’t rebel, at least not outwardly. You’re given plenty of authority to convince people to help you if necessary, and there should be few if any arguments. Be calm, respect authority, and you’ll automatically be given the respect you deserve, plus more. Get a lot done!
