Tonight, try locating one of the coolest constellations up there. The constellation Hercules the Kneeling Giant can be seen ascending in the east-northeast on these Northern Hemisphere spring evenings. You can find Hercules between two brilliant stars: Arcturus and Vega. The chart at the top of this post shows the sky for around 9 to 10 p.m. local time (10 to 11 p.m. Daylight Time), when the constellation Hercules, and the two stars so essential for finding it, are well up in the northeastern to eastern sky.

1112:  The Universe is speaking to us today through repetitive thoughts, ideas and visuals. Use these repetitive clues to improve yourself or if you feel trapped by old habits. There comes a time when we must let go of the things that no longer serve us. (habits, beliefs, things, feelings, relationships etc.) Hanging on to the old effectively blocks our path. So in order to move forward we need the room that letting go provides. Remember that baby steps are the key to making successful changes. Each step in itself is important so don’t be too eager and rush ahead as you might miss out on something amazing. Start your day by affirming that you eager to move forward and then open yourself to receive the messages the Universe has to share.




Work with the Divine Source (Universe, God, Goddess or the deity you call creator) to strengthen and reaffirm this important connection. Start by grounding, clearing and centering. This helps to open the channels and chakras.




Our Sacred Stone for the day is Aquamarine. This stone shields the aura, aligns the chakras and promotes communication from the higher realms.

1110:  Today the Universe is asking us to use our intuition to receive a little divine guidance. This will provide  some much needed direction so remember to keep all receptors open. Messages can come from anywhere and at any time, such as thoughts or ideas, visual clues or even physical objects. If the message you receive doesn’t seem to make sense to you right now, file it away for future reference as you will need it at a later time. However, if you are strongly guided to take action, do so. Keep in mind that while opportunities may come back around it best to grab them when they first show up or you could miss out on something important that you need right now. It’s important to note that we should never try and force guidance to happen. Just relax and let things flow. Information comes more easily when the mind is calm.

Two words.

They flash in my head like dayglow in the dark and roll off my tongue at rapid speed, like a wakeful child barreling out of bed to the tree on Christmas morning.

Of the thousands of words that I could pull together to respond to benign actions, such as walking in when someone is walking out, unintentionally making someone wait, interrupting someone, walking in front of someone, taking “too long” to get my change out, or making a thoughtful decision at the café counter, it is these two words that spring to mind like a jackrabbit on a sunny spring day.

This weekend is a good time to look for North Taurid meteors. This long-lasting shower – which, with its sister shower, the South Taurids – runs throughout late October and November. 119:  Our power of positive thought may be tested today. The key lies in our ability to set negativity in it’s place and move forward. So do your best to keep it at a distance and walk away from negative situations and people. This goes hand in hand with the changes we’ve been working on recently. During times of change it seems that we are more susceptible to getting caught in negative webs, so take the necessary precautions to avoid these traps. We are also reminded to look for success in everything that you do and look for at least one positive thing in every situation. There is always something that you can use to continue building the life you want. If you feel the need to move in a certain direction, or take specific action grab your confidence by the hand and move forward!




Archangel Jeremiel helps us to make positive adjustments to our path. The Ascended Master Sanat Kumara helps to rid people of negative entities and energies. Six years ago, big-box giant Walmart surprised the country by announcing that its Black Friday sales would start on Thanksgiving night. Die-hard Black Friday shoppers cheered the decision, while die-hard turkey day enthusiasts claimed the move destroyed the meaning of the Thanksgiving holiday and forced both employees and customers to abandon their families.

Today – November 8 – you might (or might not) spot the young moon in your western sky after sunset. Generally, it’s difficult to catch a pale, whisker-thin waxing crescent moon that’s less than 24 hours old (24 hours past new moon). If you miss the young moon at dusk November 8, try again on November 9 or 10. Day after day, a wider crescent moon will stay out later after sunset and will be easier to catch at early evening.

The Tibetan teacher, Chogyam Trungpa, warned of the trap of spiritual materialism. He says we must be ever diligent to spot the ego’s use of the spiritual journey to further its own ends.


We may think it’s spiritual to yearn for divine connection. And yet, if the longing is to fill an emptiness inside, just how does this differ from the one who yearns for money or possessions to fill the inner void? Do we look to our spiritual practices asproof of our evolved consciousness or as protection against fears?


Any time we use spiritual disciplines to maintain our identity and security, we are not yet on the path of genuine spiritual development.

There is a lesson, a gift, a treasure to be found in every situation and circumstance. We can acknowledge it or turn away from it – but it is there nonetheless.
