ThoughtCo: Full Moon Pagan Ritual for Releasing and Purging

New moon ceremonies have to do with creation, manifestation, birth, and rebirth. It is the full moon that completes the cycle. The full moon is the representative for marking a time for death or change. It is also a time for gathering up your wits and tying up loose ends. Basically, the full moon symbolizes the end chapter, shedding light on the things that we no longer need to hold on to.

Inner Journey:

WHAT MESSAGE DID YOU MOST NEED TO HEAR?

“One word frees us from the weight and pain of life; that word is love.”
— Sophocles
In exploring the enneagram, Riso and Hudson have identified ‘lost messages’ that we needed to hear as children but didn’t. The absence of these words may be at the heart of our most basic fear. And unconsciously we may still be seeking to hear these words from others.
Review the following messages and note if any one touches you more strongly than the others:
1. “You are good.”
2. “You are wanted.”
3. “You are loved for yourself.”
4. “You are seen for who you are.”
5. “Your needs are not a problem.”
6. “You are safe.”
7. “You will be taken care of.”
8. “You will not be betrayed.”
9. “Your presence matters.”

“Oh the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are — chaff and grain together — certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.”

A Note from the Universe

Can you believe it’s already January?

That it’s Wednesday, again?

That as you read these very words, somewhere in the world there are waves crashing, eagles soaring, lilacs blooming, and friends laughing so hard tears are streaming down their faces?

That your life has been changing so swiftly?

That you’re absolutely gorgeous, inside and out?

That your new thriving business and a steady income came so quickly?

That others who now want to have financial security for myself and family, emulate how you did it?

That peace, love, and happiness are flourishing around the world?

Yeah I thought you would.

Angels

“I am a little world made cunningly

Of elements and an angelic sprite.”

-John Donne (1572-1631)

This “angelic sprite” is the element that animates us – it’s that certain something that gives us our personality, our quirks, our loving spirits. We are not just a bundle of cells, of hydrogen and oxygen and glucose and whatever – we have the capacity to learn and grow and help and heal and contribute. We are made this way by design, so we need to recognize these gifts and use them!

Thought For The Day: August 19, 2019 “Mistakes”

Happy Monday,

Mistakes. While we make plenty of them during our lifetime, there are some that we just keep repeating. But the goal is to make things better and move on ……. right? In order to make things better and stop making the same mistakes, we must first learn from those mistakes. Never be afraid to admit making a mistake and never be afraid to take the steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Thought For The Day: July 25, 2019 “Don’t Be A Lump”

Happy Thursday,

Why are people afraid to make mistakes? If no one ever made a mistake this world would be pretty boring. Think about it. No one would try to do anything, and nothing would get done. No one would learn or grow. Discoveries would never be made and new things never invented and the world would be a place filled with boring lumps of humanity. Mistakes happen so laugh them off and  keep trying.

Thought For The Day: June 10, 2019 ” Mistakes”

Happy Monday,

Making mistakes is a part of life, it’s how we learn and grow.  Don’t get me wrong, there are people out there who keep making the same mistakes over and over. They never seem to grow or get any smarter. There are also people who fear making mistakes because they are afraid of looking dumb, so they simply don’t try. These people don’t grow either. Pretty sad right? Then there are the rest of us mistake making people. If we try and fail we learn valuable lessons. These lessons we put to good use when we try again. Yep… sometimes we have to try more than once, sometimes two or three times even. The point is that we come out smarter… kind of like going to school!

Thought For The Day: Dec. 6, 2018 “A Learning Experience’

Happy Thursday,

It’s human nature to give advice to others when we see them struggling or making poor choices. But the truth is that people learn by making mistakes and quite often we have to stay silent and let it happen. If you do offer advice the key is to not get “butt-hurt”  when our words are ignored. Just sayin…….

Thought For The Day: March 16, 2018 ” Lessons Learned”

Happy Friday,

Making mistakes are just a part of life. We all make them and there is always a lesson to be learned from them. The same can be said by seeing the mistakes made by others. Sadly, some people keep making the same mistakes over and over. They never learn and are always shocked and surprised when bad things happen. The point is…… don’t be that person! Be willing to learn the lessons and take that knowledge and do things right.

A Bountiful Moment

The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything. ~Theodore Roosevelt

Daily Thought

Looking at mistakes made as growth will change the direction of your actions and emotions. It allows the challenge to become part of what you need to learn within the journey. Sometimes you are not able to achieve the goal you set on the first try, all that means is you need change the way you address it. A mistake never really means defeat until you give up.

Daily Practice

Take another look at what you view as a mistake made and reframe it as something positive. What did you learn or get from the path taken and mistake made? Did it make you stronger, more committed, or have you given up because you felt defeated? Look again at what you were trying to accomplish and change direction to reach the same goal by acting in a different way? There is no such thing as a mistake when you are trying

BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN SUCCESS

“What you believe yourself to be, you are.”
— Claude M. Bristol

Do you believe, deep down inside of you, that you can succeed in what you want to do?

Beliefs are strong, and they have the power to attract what is believed to us. If we doubt our ability to succeed, if we in fact believe we WON’T succeed, then sure enough, thats what will happen.

What do you believe about yourself? You have the power to change your beliefs, and that will change your outcome. Set goals you believe you can accomplish. Your beliefs will shape your actions. As you achieve these goals, you’ll begin to believe you are capable of succeeding and of doing even more.

“It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in so doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility.”
— Albert Einstein

“Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.”

They became the things and events of this week. The things you thought would be difficult became difficult; easy became easy; boring became boring; and fun became fun. Where you thought there might be surprises, you were surprised. And where you thought there might be land mines, there were land mines.

Bravo! You can add this week to the list of your most creative accomplishments.

Now, can you guess what your thoughts this week are going to do?

You are awesome,

Yet despite their increasing popularity, one in two Canadians still don’t know how to incorporate avocados into their meals and recipes, according to a recent survey. But its easier than you think to add good fats into your balanced diet. There are now many products made with avocado oil that make it even easier to use in your favourite recipes, like new Becel with Avocado Oil margarine. Desire

“Heaven always favors good desires.” -Cervantes (Don Quixote)

What makes a “good” desire? All of our desires are good! We have our desires for a reason, and we wouldn’t have them if we were not capable of fulfilling them. Be like Don Quixote, and “follow that star!” Our desires lead us to our destiny.
