There comes a time when we must sort out the people in our lives. Sometimes we outgrow them. Sometimes we drift apart or sometimes they cause so much drama that it’s just not worth it. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and make you feel good about life and about yourself and who appreciate you doing the same for them. The new year is a good time to sort through your “subscriptions” and cancel the ones that are no longer in your best interest to hang on to.

As we prepare to say goodbye to the old year we are given a reminder about hope. Hope is like a spark that lives within us and is something that we must nurture to fully appreciate. The last year has been crazy, scary and often dark but we have persevered and made it through because we have hope that things will get better. It will happen a little at time. Find your “hope spark” and embrace it. Feed it each day with optimistic intentions and loving kindness. Never give up… you’ve totally got this!
