Spirit Library: Internal Authority
There is a profound purging and clearing occurring which is initiating many life change events and transformations. Layers and layers of energetic patterning is being released and healed preparing us for a totally new cycle that is pregnant with the possibilities of a whole new life.
The ankh, also known as the Key of Life, is probably one of the most easily recognizable and best known ancient Egyptian symbols. It represents eternal life and in many ancient carvings Egyptian deities and Pharaoh’s are shown holding it.
While the origins of the Ankh are unclear, archeologists say that in the ancient language the word means quite literally “Life”. One theory as to the symbol itself says that the loop on top represents the womb (feminine) while the cross at the bottom represents the penis (male) and when the two are put together life is formed from it. It is also said to symbolize the elements of both water and air. In pagan tradition’s these elements are considered life-giving.
When the Ankh is used as an amulet it is believed to give the wearer good health and longevity and protection against evil and negative energy.

Many in the spiritual community believe that every person has an aura, an energy field that exudes a certain color, immediately surrounding them. While not usually visible to the naked eye, an aura’s color—be it red, green, purple, or a combination of many shades—can be photographed and analyzed during an aura reading.
1. If the dreamer is wearing the glasses, then he will soon see the world in a different light and learn from it.
2. If someone known to the dreamer is wearing the glasses, then that person has a special interest in the dreamer. If the dreamer does NOT know the person, then there may be many who are “keeping an eye” on him.
3. If the eyeglasses are not worn, but lying alone somewhere, then the dreamer needs to view something through different eyes.

Daily Good: Seeking Solitude in Nature: A Meditation Teacher’s Story
“By the time we’re 60, we will have been alive for almost 22,000 days on this planet, rarely, if ever, stopping to watch just one. By immersion into nature in solitude, we allow the natural human to become entrained to the nature of the planet we are part of. I had been camping in solitude in nature — on a hill over the ocean on the coast of California — as I have done twice a year for the past 20+ years. I jokingly call it my “People Fast”, which I have always assumed I needed since, as a meditation teacher and an actress, what I do in the world involves intense and intimate interactions with people, and I figured that we always need an opportunity to “clear out” and refresh or reground ourselves. But there is more to it than that — at least for me.” Meditation teacher Stephanie Nash shares more. { read more }

“Nourishing the soul is the process of drinking at the life stream, coming back to one’s true self, embracing the whole of one’s experience – good, bad, or ugly; painful or exalted; dull or boring.”
— Jon Kabat-Zinn
Spiritual teachings sometimes counsel a need to let go of the ego. In our view, though, ego and personality are essential players in our theatre of life. Personality is the vehicle for Spirit to evolve through form. Soul sparks the potential that exists within the personality.
We don’t want the ego to disappear – we want it to open to divine guidance so the two may work together in alignment.
And so the path of personality aims to build a healthy, skilful ego. Ironically, only a strong, mature ego can take responsibility for carrying the consciousness of soul.
“How do we nurture the soul? By revering our own life. By treating it as supremely important. By reaching for the best within ourselves. By learning to love it all, not only the joys and the victories, but also the pain and the struggles.”

FOLLOW THE 80/20 RULE
“Nothing can add more power to your life than concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets.”
— Nido Qubein
The 80/20 rule says that on a list of 10 tasks, only 2 of those tasks will return 80% of the value of the entire list. Look at your ‘to do’ list for today. Which tasks are directly related to what you most want in life? Find the 2 high value items on your list and tackle them first. These tasks are the ones that really move us forward.
Many of us actively avoid the top 2 priorities because they are more challenging than the rest. If they are to lead us to worthy goals, they are undoubtedly asking us to move into new territory in thinking and acting, and this can be scary. But this is also REWARDING!
“Don’t kid yourself: it’s because you’re doing all those C’s (low priorities) and NOT because you haven’t any time, that you don’t get to do your A’s.”

FILL UP YOUR TANK
“How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’sgood in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done?'”
— Nathaniel Branden
I have found there’s a very different quality to my action when it springs from a sense of abundance as opposed to a feeling of being impoverished.
When I sense I’m not good enough or that I don’t have enough, I feel driven to be better and to have more. Whatever I do takes effort – there’s an element of struggle involved. And this makes sense because there’s no fuel – I’m working on an empty tank.
When I’m feeling abundant, I act out of my own inspiration. I’m rich and full and so the energy flows naturally. This action at times feels almost effortless.
It’s important to remember that we don’t need money to be abundant. All we need is appreciation of all that we have.
” …what I focus on in life is what I get. And if I concentrate on how bad I am or how wrong I am or how inadequate I am, if I concentrate on what I can’t do and how there’s not enough time in which to do it, isn’t that what I get every time? And when I think about how powerful I am, and when I think about what I have left to contribute, and when I think about the difference I can make on this planet, then that’s what I get. You see, I recognize that it’s not what happens to you; it’s what you do about it.”

No. You are exactly as you now are, with every freckle, trait, and charm, because they all added up to how you could make the biggest difference with your life in time and space, while having the most fun.
In appreciation,
The Universe

Meaning
“One needs something to believe in, something which one can have whole-hearted enthusiasm. One needs to feel that one’s life has meaning, that one is needed in this world.”
-Hannah Senesh (1938)
It’s that passion, that purpose, that spurs us forward in life. We know that there is more to life than just paying the bills and hanging out. But that “more” is different for each one of us. Understanding that Life has meaning is one thing, but we must also understand that our own lives have meaning. We’re here for a reason. And it’s up to each one of us to discover just what that reason is and to embrace it whole-heartedly!

Daily Tarot: Justice
Be an impartial observer in your own love life today. Instead of complaining that things aren’t fair, try to be honest and loyal even if you don’t get the same in return. Serve as a peacemaker. Justice says that there’s no use in trying to keep track of all of the ways you’ve been wronged, because everything evens out in the end.

About Cat’s Morning Bits: These daily posts are reblogged from various email newsletters that I receive each day.
Fear and anxiety are very real for a lot of people right now and while I’m not a shrink I can tell you that these things can take over your life if you let them. Too often we get freaky over the “what ifs”. The key lies in keeping things in perspective and knowing what you can control and what you can’t. If you are struggling with this take a moment and read today’s quote. Ground, center and clear and just breathe.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

Spirit Library: Contemplate & Re-Evaluate (a message from Kate Spreckley)
In this time of rapid awakening and transformation it is becoming abundantly clear that we have to stop expecting someone else to make our lives better, the world healthier or the environment cleaner. We need to stop looking to governments, politicians and so called leaders to change our reality.
Wise Woman Herbal: An Invitation to Arrive by Astrid Grove
One of my greatest passions is to arrive fully present in each moment and support others to do the same. I trust my inner knowing that this is each of our birthright. The lessons that show up in my life continue to reveal this truth to me. And so it is.
April’s showers have given way to rich and fertile earth, and as the land greens, there are few celebrations as representative of fertility as Beltane.
MBG: Mercury Retrograde 101: What This Transit Means & How To Navigate It
Even if you don’t know much about astrology, you’ve probably heard “Mercury retrograde” mentioned in a hushed, worried tone before. As one of the most hyped-up astrological transits—up there with new moons, full moons, and eclipses—Mercury retrograde often gets a bad rap
1. If you were wearing the costume, you’re hiding your true self from someone – or perhaps from everyone in your circle. If you take it off, something will cause you to drop the façade very soon.
2. If you are only one amongst many wearing a costume, especially if some of the others were children, this portends an amazing and totally unexpected – but nonetheless favorable – turn of events.

Daily Good: The Art of Waiting
“”Time is the substance I am made of,” Borges wrote in his spectacular confrontation with time, “Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger which destroys me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire which consumes me, but I am the fire.” We are indeed creatures of time who live with it and in it, on the picketed patch of spacetime we have each been allotted. But if time is the foundational baseboard of our being, what happens to the structure of our lives in a culture of doing? That is what Jason Farman explores in Delayed Response: The Art of Waiting.” Maria Popova shares more in this post. { read more }

EarthSky News: Zodiacal light juts upward to Taurus
The mysterious zodiacal light is often visible after dusk or before dawn from the tropical regions of the world. But at temperate latitudes in either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, your best chance of catching the zodiacal light in the evening sky is in late winter and early spring – or for the few months centered on the spring equinox.

“I do not accept any absolute formulas for living. No preconceived code can see ahead to everything that can happen in a man’s life. As we live, we grow and our beliefs change. They must change. So I think we should livewith this constant discovery. We should be open to this adventure in heightened awareness of living. We should stake our whole existence on our willingness to explore and experience.”

Meaning
“The need to find meaning in the universe is as real as the need for trust and for love, for relations with other human beings.”
-Margaret Mead (1972)
It’s the age-old question: What is the meaning of life? Living this quest is as natural as breathing. It’s how we learn and grow, all a part of the process of life. We reach out to each other, for comfort, for love, for definition. And many times it is in our relationships that we find the meaning that we seek.
