52: Change is a constant thing. It happens everywhere, to everyone, every day. Sometimes it’s a gradual process that sneaks up on us and at other times is quite abrupt and can be a real wake-up call. Either way, change is a necessary thing that helps us to evolve and grow. It’s important to remember that change is part of the letting go process. By learning to let go of people, things, and situations that no longer bring us joy so we make the room for something better. ( new people, personal insights, and new opportunities) Today the universe is asking us to release our fears and embrace change as an adventure. Don’t force or struggle, it’s time to go with the flow and let the ‘universal tide” carry you forward!

He can help you see everything that you have accomplished recently as well as the areas that need attention and helps us to let go of what we no longer need. It also strengthens our ability to absorb and process information so that we can show our feelings in a positive way. Malachite helps those making aggressive personal or life changes. It brings a sense of adventure to our transformation as it shows us what is blocking our spiritual growth and the best way to move forward.

Today’s Message:New Month, New Changes
51: Even though we don’t know exactly what the future holds for us we can be assured that things will get better and those good things are headed our way. As we start the new month we are being asked to focus our thoughts on our dreams and goals. Don’t spend your energy worrying about the “how to’s” and “what if’s” as these details will naturally fall into place when the time is right. Fear of the future and of change is normal, however, the key lies in how we perceive the changes that lie ahead. If we acknowledge our fears and do our best to let them go (don’t struggle, don’t force) we can fill that space with positive intent and a sense of adventure. Visualize yourself as an explorer heading out into the uncharted territory of personal growth. What does the future hold? Who knows…..but man it’s going to be good!

Exemplore: Seven Crystals for Beltane
As we reach the celebration of Beltane, spring has peaked and we are heading into summer. The Earth is warming up and has an energy bursting with strength and fertility. The word Beltane is thought to originate from the Celtic god, Bal, meaning ‘the bright one’ and the Gaelic word ‘teine,’ which means fire.
“Beltane is the last of the three spring fertility festivals, the others being Imbolc and Ostara. Beltane is the second principal Celtic festival (the other being Samhain). Celebrated approximately halfway between Vernal (spring) equinox and the midsummer (Summer Solstice). Beltane traditionally marked the arrival if summer in ancient times. At Beltane the Pleiades star cluster rises just before sunrise on the morning horizon, whereas winter (Samhain) begins when the Pleiades rises at sunset. The Pleiades is a cluster of seven closely placed stars, the seven sisters, in the constellation of Taurus, near his shoulder. When looking for the Pleiades with the naked eye, remember it looks like a tiny dipper-shaped pattern of six moderately bright stars (the seventh can be seen on very dark nights) in the constellation of Taurus. It stands very low in the east-northeast sky for just a few minutes before sunrise. Beltane, and its counterpart Samhain, divide the year into its two primary seasons, winter (Dark Part) and summer (Light Part). As Samhain is about honoring Death, Beltane, its counter part, is about honoring Life. It is the time when the sun is fully released from his bondage of winter and able to rule over summer and life once again. Beltane, like Samhain, is a time of “no time” when the veils between the two worlds are at their thinnest. No time is when the two worlds intermingle and unite and the magic abounds! It is the time when the Faeries return from their winter respite, carefree and full of faery mischief and faery delight. On the night before Beltane, in times past, folks would place rowan branches at their windows and doors for protection, many otherworldly occurrences could transpire during this time of “no time”. Traditionally on the Isle of Man, the youngest member of the family gathers primroses on the eve before Beltane and throws the flowers at the door of the home for protection. In Ireland it is believed that food left over from May Eve must not be eaten, but rather buried or left as an offering to the faery instead. Much like the tradition of leaving of whatever is not harvested from the fields on Samhain, food on the time of no time is treated with great care. When the veils are so thin it is an extremely magical time, it is said that the Queen of the Faeries rides out on her white horse. Roving about on Beltane eve She will try to entice people away to the Faeryland. Legend has it that if you sit beneath a tree on Beltane night, you may see the Faery Queen or hear the sound of Her horse’s bells as She rides through the night. Legend says if you hide your face, She will pass you by but if you look at Her, She may choose you. There is a Scottish ballad of this called Thomas the Rhymer, in which Thomas chooses to go the Faeryland with the Queen and has not been seen since.” – Christina Aubin, Beltane

Today’s Recipe: Beltane Marigold Custard/Anon
2 cups milk 1 cup unsprayed marigold petals 1/4 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. sugar 1 to 2-inch piece vanilla bean 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. rose water whipped cream
Using a clean mortar and pestle reserved for cooking purposes, pound marigold petals. Or, crush with a spoon. Mix the salt, sugar and spices together. Scald milk with the marigolds and the vanilla bean. Remove the vanilla bean and add the slightly beaten yolks and dry ingredients. Cook on low heat. When the mixture coats a spoon, add rose water and cool.
Top with whipped cream, garnish with fresh marigold petals.

The Beltane Fire
The lighting of the Beltane fire is one of the most widely known Celtic traditions for this Sabbat. On May Eve (April 30) people would put out their hearth fires, then on Beltane (May 1) they would relight them from the celebratory bonfires. The dousing and relighting of the hearth fires were done on each of the fire festivals not just Beltane as according to druid lore.
The Beltane bonfires were lit as a symbol of the return of the sun for the summer half of the year. Nine sacred woods were used to start the fires and each wood has its own magickal properties. The names of the wood to be used appears in the song versions of the Witches Rede, while the shorter versions contain the first sentence.
“Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow. Birchwood in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows. Oak in the forest, towers with might in the fire it brings the God’s insight. Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower. Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland. Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye. Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning- adds its strength to the bright fire burning. White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility. Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine. Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen. But – Elder is the Lady’s tree burn it not or cursed you’ll be.”
When the fires were lit the people would gather and the dancing would begin. They would dance around the fires, spiraling in and out. The next custom involved jumping the bonfires this would ensure a successful growing season and a prosperous summer. according to Druid lore, the men would jump first, followed by the women. Lastly, the herd animals would be driven through the embers for protection and purification.

The sacred Beltane fire can also be made in your altar cauldron and you would only need a few chips or shavings from each of the 9 woods. Since not everyone has access to wood chips let alone 9 different kinds, you could use herbs instead. Choose herbs that correspond with each of the woods needed. Believe me, the Lady and Lord understand and will smile upon your effort!

429: Over the last month, we have been working on two things: letting go of what no longer serves us and strengthening our faith in the Universe and in ourselves. When these things are combined we are creating new opportunities that will open new doors. The angels are helping us now by placing these doors (and windows) of opportunity in our path. Your mission should you accept it is to grab what’s offered before the circle moves on and the doors close. Remember that if you miss out on these opportunities they will eventually come back around, although it may not be what you want or need any longer when it does. Today’s Message: Believing Is Everything
427: These daily readings much like most areas of life focus quite often on faith. Remember that faith isn’t inherent to just one religion or path. It encompasses them all and it includes spirituality. While we can have faith in many things one of the most important is having faith in ourselves. The universe and its helpers are here to assist us but we must also be willing to do our part. This is where faith in yourself comes in. The more confidence and faith you have in yourself the better equipped you are to create the life you want. Faith also helps us to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Today the angels are asking us to armor ourselves in faith and courage. If you need their support or assistance just ask. Then open yourself to receiving the guidance that is shared and take action accordingly.

Archangel Jeremiel is in charge of life reviews and changes. He can help you see everything that you have accomplished recently as well as the areas that need attention and helps us to let go of what we no longer need. He teaches us that by taking inventory of our lives we gain a clear perspective of where we are on our path, which in turn helps us to make positive life changes. He removes our fear of change and what the future holds and replaces them with a sense of expectant excitement.

It is also a stone of abundance and draws good things to us while helping us see the blessings we have. Golden (Imperial) Topaz helps to strengthen our confidence, faith, and optimistic outlook as it reminds us of our own divine origins. It can also be used to re-energize the body and spirit which assists us in overcoming our self-imposed limitations.
