Daily Good: The Naked Voice: Transforming Life through the Power of Sound
“Your voice is as unique as your twelve-stranded DNA. However, many don’t know how to access it. Our schools and social conditioning don’t offer many clues. Yet the human voice is everyone’s birthright. It is a universal given, a bridge between the worlds, the soul’s messenger, a gift of spirit capable of inspiring evolutionary shifts in consciousness. Your authentic singing voice is the muscle and mouthpiece of your soul. As unique as your fingerprint and DNA, your soul has a melody, a rhythm, and a resonance that is yours alone.

MNN: Kenya’s ‘Elephant Queen’ immortalized in remarkable photographs
The moment British wildlife photographer Will Burrard-Lucas first encountered the majestic “tusker” elephant quite literally took his breath away.
Officially classified as F_MU1, the towering giant was more reverently nicknamed Kenya’s “queen of the elephants.”

Patheos-Pagan: Children’s Ostara Spring Welcoming
Here is simple ritual to perform with children in honor of Spring. You can also use it to introduce some simple concepts, such as circle casting, energy raising, grounding, and even herbalism. It was first published in Llewellyn’s 2007 Magical Almanac. I hope you enjoy it

Inner Journey:
PERSONAL POWER
“The deep root of failure in our lives is to think, ‘Oh how useless and powerless I am.’ It is essential to think strongly and forcefully, ‘I can do it,’ without boasting or fretting.”
— Dalai Lama
Angeles Arrien says that whether we are male or female, we need to develop three kinds of power. People who hold these three powers cannot be ignored.
1. Power of presence – Being really present in each moment
2. Power of communication – Speaking my truth
3. Power of position – Being willing to take a stand
“A man’s true state of power and riches is to be in himself.”
— Henry Ward Beecher
“We are no longer puppets being manipulated by outside powerful forces; we become the powerful force ourselves.”
— Leo Buscaglia

A Note from the Universe
You know here in the unseen, where everything is always spotlessly clean, all gadgets work, dust never settles, and everyone’s fit as a fiddle, we often miss the deep sense of satisfaction that you feel for a job well done, breaking a sweat, busting a move or otherwise living such blessed physical lives in such a magically spiritual world.
Truly, magic on its own, without even a smidge of suspense… bores.
You should see how fit I am,

Compassion
“It is the experience of touching the pain of others that is the key to change… Compassion is a sign of transformation.”
-Jim Wallis
Compassion is not limited to the human experience. Although, as intelligent beings, we can understand and express compassion and extend comfort to one another. My friend Maryanne sent me an article about a herd of elephants who appeared to be mourning one of their own who had died. They cried. I don’t know if elephants can understand with their minds just what they were experiencing, but they certainly were able to understand with their hearts. And we can empathize with them, we can project our own feelings of loss onto this situation and learn and grow from it.
