It Matters:Cat’s Angel Message for September 21, 2020
September’s Theme: “What Do I Want?” This is a question that we often ask ourselves. So as we head into Autumn and the time of introspection ask yourself that very question.

921: Many of our daily readings revolve around faith, in both the universe and in yourself. I’m sure that you’ve noticed that some days your faith is strong while on others you may feel like things aren’t working out or that what you do doesn’t matter. (This is normal, it happens) Take a moment to acknowledge your feelings, even indulge in a short pity party if you like, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off and remind yourself that you are worthy, strong and nothing will hold you back. Today, the angels want us to know that everything we do is important, even the small things. Help and support are always available and it’s only a request away. If your faith is feeling puny today start by grounding, clearing and centering and then ask (Spirit, angels, masters) for a little TLC and support. Make sure to release any negative thoughts and feelings that you may be holding and regain your light-ness of being!

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Raphael teaches us that it is through our spiritual journey that we can heal our selves and our lives and regain our self confidence and faith. This opens our spiritual eyes so that we may see what we have and how blessed we truly are as it teaches us how to make room for new things through the clearing out process. He helps to clear the way so that we can achieve balance by removing the blocks associated with giving and receiving by promoting flexibility in thinking and attitude.
The Ascended Master Sanat Kumara teaches us that we have an unlimited supply of personal power and helps us find the energy we need to keep going and rise above negative experiences and thought patterns. This gives us the skills we need to strengthen our personal boundaries so that we can be and stay strong in situations where we need to be.
The Hindu Goddess Devi helps us to find meaning in our lives and gently guides us in learning to follow our own inner wisdom. She says “Take my hand and let me guide you on your journey of self discovery. You need only look within to find your true meaning. Release your cares to me and I will purify your heart and spirit so that new information can be sent to you. “

Today’s Sacred Stones include:
Agate. This humble stone is the perfect one for grounding and balancing our energies. It also helps by raising our consciousness to access our higher self and promoting the awareness and acceptance of who we are and where we want to go in life. It nurtures our spiritual growth and inner strength by helping us to make the most of our life experiences.
Orange Calcite helps us to embrace our own power and the abilities we possess while eliminating self-defeating thinking. It also helps to balance the emotions and calm our fears so that we can work through problems and temporary setbacks so we may reach our full potential. It helps to dissolve problems and insecurities that can arise when we are faced with new opportunities.
Charoite. This multi-hued mineral is a stone of transformation. It helps to open our hearts to the concept of unconditional love and brings those energies forward. Charoite enhances our perception and helps to ground our spiritual nature into everyday reality and helps us to see ways we can be of service. This stone can be used to reduce stress and worry as it helps us to overcome fear.
Many people are under the misconception that home is a place. The truth is that we will live in many places during our lifetime and not all will feel like home. The feeling of “home” can be a place, a building, or a person. It is the feeling of safety, love, peace, or comfort. The feelings fill our hearts and make us feel whole. Home is where the heart is!
Feelings are like the ocean, sometimes gentle, sometimes turbulent and sometimes they crash down on us and knock us off our feet. Like everything else in life, we have choices. When feelings roll in we have a choice in how we react to them. Do you let the riptide suck you down or do you stay balanced on your surfboard and master that wave?
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

Spirit Library: Bring More Light Into the World (a message from Kate Spreckley)
This week the energy has intensified as the Sun, Moon and the Earth move towards alignment on Friday. The energy of this time promises great rewards and patience if we are able to meet the challenges and obstacles with courage and determination.
World Oceans Day 2020 – June 8 – And 5 Oceans of the World
World Oceans Day is celebrated every year on June 8 to spread the awareness about the importance of Oceans. Protecting our ocean must remain our top most priority as this resource is directly impacts the health of people and our planet.
One of the most popular summer pastimes in the world is the journey to the beach. For some people, it’s an annual event, in which you load a carload of kids and sand toys into your car, everyone drinks too much beer and the whole family comes home sunburned and cranky.
1. In Freudian dream analysis, a symbol for physical passion. If the dreamer is the one doing the shooting, then he is consciously or unconsciously searching for a partner. If the dreamer is the one being shot, someone out there feels desire for him.
2. The release, or need for release, of pent-up anger. Again, if the dreamer is doing the shooting, she needs to control her temper and find a positive way to release her anger. If she is the victim, then someone is angry with her.
3. Something important coming up, implying a need to “get out the big guns.”

Inner Journey:
LOVE YOURSELF
“It’s surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you’re not comfortable within yourself, you can’t be comfortable with others.”
— Sydney J. Harris
“We have the need to be accepted and to be loved by others, but we cannot accept and love ourselves. The more self-love we have, the less we will experience self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection, and self-rejection comes from having an image of what it means to be perfect and never measuring up to that ideal. Our image of perfection is the reason we reject ourselves the way we are, and why we don’t accept others the way they are.”
— Don Miguel Ruiz

Feelings
“The wide discrepancy between reason and feeling may be unreal; it is not improbable that intellect is a high form of feeling – a specialized, intensive feeling about intuitions.”
-Susanne K. Langer, 1967
A lot of time we hear about the difference between the heart and the head, or between feelings and reason. But even if there is a difference between them, there is a connection between them. We can assimilate the two, and use the power as one, to make the important choices in our lives. It’s that merger that empowers us to overcome any challenges we come across

Daily Tarot: Temperance
A little emotional distance is called for to keep things peaceful and working smoothly. You may be very sentimental or attached to certain issues or other people’s opinions of you but don’t let this rule how the day goes. Don’t let anyone casually or ignorantly hurt your feelings. They may not even know what they’re doing. Stay functional and keep your emotional guards up.

This is a ritual that you can hold after a pet has passed away. Feeling angry, sad or anxious? You might ask, “How much of this is mine?”
Those of us who are sensitive sometimes pick up on emotional, mental or physical energy in the environment. It feels like ours – we really do feel the emotions or physical or mental symptoms. But really, we are processing ‘generic’ energies that belong to others or to humanity as a whole.
Opening to the possibility that our experiences may not be completely ours helps us detach from them. When we don’t completely identify with our thoughts and feeling

Sharing
“For we must share, if we would keep,
that blessing from above;
Ceasing to give, we cease to have;
such is the law of love.”
-Richard C. Trench

About Cat’s Morning Bits: These daily posts are reblogged from various email newsletters that I receive each day.
Feelings can be a good thing if they are embraced and expressed correctly. However there are times when we ignore our feelings and allow others to control us or treat us poorly. Remember that what you think and feel is important and you deserve to be treated with respect and compassion. You are worth it!
Let’s start the new week with a quote about feelings. The way we feel and the the way others make us feel is important. While it’s not good to bottle them up (ever) we must sometimes choose how and when we show them. Learning to surf our emotions gently can greatly ease the stress and anxiety that turbulence can cause. Be like water and allow the ebb and flow of your tide to carry you through the day.

Spirituality & Health:
Naturally Energize This Winter
BY KATHRYN DRURY WAGNER
It was 4:30 p.m., and darkness was already falling over the corn fields, casting long shadows. I’d just awoken from a so-called power nap, yet felt like I could have gone back to sleep and hibernated for two months. Anyone else having this problem lately? Winter can really sap energy levels, so let’s look at ways to feel alive and motivated, even in the doldrum months.
MBG: Dreaming About Sugar, Salt, Or Carbs? These Essential Oils Can Help Curb Cravings
Have you ever tried your hardest to turn around your eating habits only to find yourself on a midafternoon or late-night binge of cookies or chips? Are mornings fruitless unless you have your sweetened coffee drink? Or maybe your cravings are more subtle, masquerading as routine with your daily afternoon snack of a granola bar and a diet soda
Kindness begets kindness. This simple saying points to a profound truth. What we put out into the world, often comes back to us in one form or another. Not only does kindness have this wonderful boomerang effect, it’s also delightfully contagious. Being at the receiving end of an act of kindness or witnessing a thoughtful gesture for another person can inspire a chain reaction. This just might be one of the best recipe’s out there for creating a better world. For inspiration, here are some of KindSpring’s favorite stories of 2018
Elephant Journal: Embracing Winter: a Permission slip to Slow things way Down
I am a self-professed winter lover.
It’s true. It may well be my favorite season. Gasp! I said it.
Sure, I love the first shoots and buds of spring and the wall of heat and slow-paced freedom of summer. Then there’s the crisp nights and warm days surrounded by the fiery explosion of colour in the fall. And to be honest, I love them all.
EarthSky News: Contemplate the apex of the sun’s way
Tonight, as you look up at the stars, think about the direction our local star, the sun, moves through our Milky Way galaxy. ________________________ Patheos-Pagan: 9 Ways to Witch Better in 2019
As you work on your 2019 resolutions, you may want to include some ways to Witch better in the new year. Some of these are about making yourself an even better Witch, Magickally. Some of these include how to be a better Witch in your community. Both are important, and all are easy to do. Happy (secular) New Year!
“When emotions are managed by the heart, they heighten your awareness of the world around you and add sparkle to life. The result is new intelligence and a new view of life.”
— Doc Childre and Howard Martin
How do you intellectualize your emotions?
Many of us live so much in our heads that we intellectualize our emotions. We analyze, rationalize and explain them away so quickly that we don’t actually experience them.
Learn to honour your emotions at all times by being willing to feel them. Of course, you may need to exercise some judgment over how and when you express them.

Spirit Library: Connect with Sense of Purpose – Remembering What’s Important
The changes we’re moving through this year are unprecedented. Most likely your personal changes will be too. While it’s impossible to grasp the magnitude of this as you’re moving through it, trust that you are morphing and shifting at lightning speed. Given this background – and the learned tendency to overthink and get stuck in the details – I’ll outline here a few simple things you can do for peace of mind.
