Friendship is a beautiful and essential thing. However even the best of friends sometimes quarrel. This where communication comes in. By being willing to talk things out the relationship is strengthened. If the friendship means something to you (and them) set ego aside and open your heart and mind and find common ground.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.

Spirit Library: This Too Shall Pass ( a message from Kate Spreckley)
Over the past few months powerful waves of cosmic energy have been surging through the galaxy flooding the Earth. These energies have significantly increased the frequency of the Earth’s vibration, shifting and transforming the energetic structures in and around the plane.
Spring has finally arrived! March has roared in like a lion, and if we’re really lucky, it will roll out like a lamb. Meanwhile, on or around the 21st of the month, we have Ostara to celebrate. It’s the time of the vernal equinox if you live in the Northern Hemisphere.
MBG: The Importance Of Friendship In A Time Of Social Distancing
In times of crisis, we typically reach out to a friend or family member to lean on. It’s one of the reasons the outbreak of COVID-19 is so stressful, as our natural reaction is to gather our friends and find comfort in numbers is discouraged.
A positive omen in all ways.
1. Whether you saw them, held them, heard them, or ate them, they signify happiness, success in your profession, and true friends. Frogs are a symbol of luck in many cultures.
2. If you are hoping to meet a romantic interest, someone you currently know but do not notice may become a future partner.

Daily Good: Living Gratefully in the Time of Corona Virus
“In the midst of times of uncertainty it serves us to reflect on how gratefulness might help to calm us, reduce fears and expectations, open us to greater clarity and love, and fuel action grounded in our deep intentions. Gratitude is not a panacea. It may not cure or solve our anxiety or concerns but it can foster ease, connection, kindness, and well-being — all valuable qualities which would be good to “go viral” these days. Gratitude cannot save us from sickness or suffering, but it can change how we experience sickness, and it may change our relationship to suffering.” The Gratefulness Team shares more { read more }

MNN: A new national park in Afghanistan offers hope for wildlife and people
Decades of war have overshadowed many important issues in Afghanistan, including the protection of its unique wildlife and wilderness. Witch bottles are a deflective and protective form of folk magic with a long history dating back to the 17th century in Europe. They are still being unearthed today in many areas of Europe and the United States.

We never have enough information to enable us to fully understand the truth of the reality around us. And there is never only one correct perspective about anything.
Knowing this helps me let go of my tendency to label things as good or bad. I suffer least when I can accept reality just as it is. And I benefit most when I open my heart and mind in appreciation.

Reason
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord.”
-Isaiah (8th cent B.C.) Isaiah 1:18
Reason is calm, rational, and thoughtful. Reason could be called common sense. We are blessed with a thinking mind, which sometimes spins itself into wild imagination. When we bring reason into the equation, it lets us clear our minds, to see the big picture, to hear other opinions, to make sense of the chaotic.

________________________ Patheos-Pagan: The Joy of Magical Friendships
For many people, friendships are an important part of their life. Friends are considered family, support, inspiration and more. When you factor in magical friendships, covering all the different spiritual paths and journeys we are on, appreciation for the type of friendship takes on a whole different meaning.
“If we want to be compassionate we must be conscious of the words we use. We must both speak and listen from the heart.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg
Conscious communication requires us to be truly present to what is occurring. When we are unconscious, we both speak to and react to others out of habit. And in the face of what we perceive as someone’s judgment and criticism, we automatically (and unconsciously)defend, withdraw or attack.
To communicate consciously requires attention to two areas:
1.I need to speak from awareness of what I am perceiving, feeling and needing, and
2.Through watching and listening, I need to be aware of those same needs in others.
“When we focus on clarifying what is being observed, felt, and needed rather than on diagnosing and judging, we discover the depth of our own compassion.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg

Ability
“The winds and the waves are always on the side of the ablest navigators.”
-Edward Gibbon (1737-1794)
We are blessed with so much ability. And we can choose to better ourselves and our skills all the time. We might struggle as we learn new things, but as we develop our abilities, these things become easier for us. Have you ever noticed how people who are the best at what they do make even the most difficult of tasks look easy? Olympian ice skaters were not born knowing how to do a “triple toe loop” or some of those fancy moves! But through dedication and perseverance, they are able to master the ice and gravity that plunked them down so many times before.

Daily Tarot: The Hermit
It might be a busy day, but try to make some time for yourself. Any time you spend meditating or settling your mind will be time well spent. It doesn’t have to be spent sitting around and being idle all day. Staring pensively into that cup of tea for a few moments can be equally beneficial. Calm your mind, and your heart, and make it an at-peace day.

About Cat’s Morning Bits: These daily posts are reblogged from various email newsletters that I receive each day.
Today’s thought asks us to give people a chance. We sometimes judge others by appearance only to find out later that they are pretty cool or that we share common interests. Remember that we are all awesome in our own way so look past appearances and see what’s inside.
Friends, we all have them. However, sometimes it’s hard to make friends because we are too busy or too caught up in our own “stuff” to be mindful of the people around us. The possibility of an unexpected friendship surrounds us all the time. It could be a co-worker, someone from your gym, a neighbor or even the friend of a friend. The point is that friendship is often born of a single common interest or shared experience. Our challenge today is to extend the hand of friendship and see what happens and where it takes you.
Sometimes it feels like the people closest to us don’t really “see” us. Then out of the blue someone comes along who recognizes our struggle. They can be a person you know or even someone you don’t. But they “see” you. They offer compassion, protection and above all else friendship. Never be afraid to let someone in because you never know peace, comfort or help will come from.

I can suck myself down into a deep, black hole when I focus on what I think I SHOULD be… more loving, sexy, productive, whatever. Thinking I should be something else means I’m not good enough now. This is poverty thinking and a guaranteed way to be miserable.
I can let go of this suffering by accepting WHAT IS. I can say, “This is how I am right now and that’s okay.”
When I first tried this, I could say it but not believe it. Then I began to experience the freedom this perspective brings – just by changing my mind! Now I’m beginning to believe it. What a gift!

Friendship
“Those friends thou hast, and their adoptions tried,
Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel.” -Shakespeare
One of the greatest gifts we are given in this lifetime is the gift of friendship. Our friends are our treasures! We learn so much from each other. Think about the first friend you ever had. Remember the joy you felt just hanging out and playing together? Chances are that the friends we had in childhood are different than the friends we have today. People change and grow and move away and go on to lead separate lives. But we remember those friends, and they remember us! We learned from them then, and are where we are now in part because of those friendships.
