LIMITED PERSPECTIVES

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
— Friedrich Nietzsche

We never have enough information to enable us to fully understand the truth of the reality around us. And there is never only one correct perspective about anything.

Knowing this helps me let go of my tendency to label things as good or bad. I suffer least when I can accept reality just as it is. And I benefit most when I open my heart and mind in appreciation.

“If you are pained by external things, it is not they that disturb you, but your own judgment of them. And it is in your power to wipe out that judgment now.”

Reason
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord.”

-Isaiah (8th cent B.C.) Isaiah 1:18
Reason is calm, rational, and thoughtful. Reason could be called common sense. We are blessed with a thinking mind, which sometimes spins itself into wild imagination. When we bring reason into the equation, it lets us clear our minds, to see the big picture, to hear other opinions, to make sense of the chaotic.

Inner Journey:

THE EYES OF THE SOUL
Today, we want to share a passage from Martia Nelson’s book, ‘Coming Home’:
“My greatest teacher was the experience of living in split realities: personality and true self. Personality is our daily companion, our conscious self that sees the world through the eyes of limitation and dutifully keeps us informed about what we can and cannot do. True self, on the other hand, patiently stands by, offering the unwavering knowledge that a state of vibrant well- being and unlimited possibility is our true nature, a birthright that can be lived if we choose to do so. … True self simply refers to the aspect of our being that is completely aware of its expanded nature no matter what we may be experiencing at the time.”

Whenever we feel constrained, fearful, unworthy, inadequate or anything we deem to be negative, we have identified with our personality. We can always choose to view the same situation from the perspective of our soul.

“As a Witness, you begin to discover that you are not that which you have been observing; you are not those things that you have been noticing about your body. Instead, you are the noticer.”
— Wayne Dyer

Ability

“The workman is known by his work.”

-La Fontaine (1621-1695)

This applies in every area of our lives. The artist is known by his (or her) art. Whether the art is music or baking, whether the work is teaching or construction or stock trading – our work is a representation, an expression of ourselves. It’s one way that the world recognizes us. It is one way that we contribute to the world. So we must always strive to work to the best of our ability, to do the best that we can do. In doing so we honor ourselves and our abilities.

Bubble Up: Cat’s Angel Message for April 12, 2019

daily Angel Message sms

Bubble Up: Cat’s Angel Message for April 12, 2019

April Theme: We are being challenged to change ourselves. You have the power to make things happen and the Universe is on your side.

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will. – Zig Ziglar

411:  Today is one of those days when you may feel a little overly sensitive to other people and outside energies. The angels are telling us to avoid unpleasant people and situations if you can manage it. Otherwise “bubble up” and surround yourself with protective energy and let the “nasties” bounce off. Another way to keep your sanity today would be to engage in something creative. Immersing yourself in a creative project is a sure way to promote peaceful feelings and it also creates a block against negative energy. Remember, the angels are just a thought away so if you need help just ask them! Your key words today are Ground- Center- Clear.

Archangel Michael who surrounds us with protection and helps us to clear our energy and space. He also helps us to find the courage and direction that we need to work through any obstacles.  The Ascended Master Serapis Bey who helps us to embrace loving self care and provides spiritual insight and peace. by providing the necessary spiritual insight we need when dealing with negative people, feelings or situations. By surrounding yourself with loving energy you can find the peace you need to deal with off color moments. And the Egyptian goddess Hathor  reminds us of the importance of loving self care. She says, “Beautiful soul, you need no ones approval but your own Now look within and embrace your divine spark.”

Our Sacred Stones for today are Smoky Quartz which grounds our energy and neutralizes negativity by replacing it with a positive vibe. Creative Carnelian is also a powerful protector against negative zings sent by others. Chiastolite (Cross Stone)used in ancient times to ward off ill wishes and curses, is also a great protector. it’s other uses include bringing harmony from conflict and dispels negative thoughts and patterns.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

Take Pride In Your Accomplishments: Cat’s Angel Message for November 17, 2017

November’s Theme: Watching our thoughts. Positive opens and draws, Negative closes and blocks. Stay focused on what you want and not what you fear.

Do the best you can. Be proud of your accomplishments – without comparing yourself to others.

– Jonathan Lockwood Huie

1117:  Today the angels are letting us know that they are proud of the work we have done thus far. “Join us in celebrating your accomplishments both large and small!”  Remember to watch your thoughts. There is a lot of negative energy rampaging around right now and it’s easy to get caught up in it. Bubble up and protect yourself if needed, or ground and clear your energy field. The key here is to rise above any hate and discontent that you come in contact with.  Bless the person or situation with peace and love and move on or remove yourself from it altogether. What’s important is that you stay on your path and keep moving forward. Be an example to other positive souls who are looking for a light in the right direction!

Archangel Michael provides direction, courage and protection and can help clear our personal energy and space. Working with him is as simple as saying “Archangel Michael please help me now!”  Nike, the Greek goddess of victory and success help us to embrace the good things we have accomplished and the Ascended Master Melchizedek protects us against psychic attack and helps us diffuse unpleasant situations. Our Sacred Stone for today is Hematite which enhances optimism and courage and helps keep us grounded.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

A Trip Down The Salt Road

Most people tend to view salt as a common household item. It can be found lurking in cupboards everywhere. But in ages past salt was viewed quite differently. For thousands of years was an important  but difficult to obtain commodity. It contributed to civilization as we know it. By using salt our ancestors were able to preserve seasonal foods and made it possible to ship food over great distances. By the Bronze Age specially constructed roads called “salt roads had been established which helped make salt more accessible. One of these roads can still be seen in Germany and runs from Luneburg to the German Baltic coast.

This mineral that we take for granted now was a highly valued trade item and was used as a form of currency. Salt could be used to obtain other goods including slaves. The phrase “not worth his salt” is said to have come from ancient Greece, where one could trade salt for slaves. During the Middle Ages only the very rich could afford to have salt at their table. It was during this period that “master salt cellars” became the in thing. The master salt cellar would be prominently placed at the head of the table as  a symbol of status. People knew how they were ranked by their position to the master salt cellar. If you were important you sat “above the salt” and if you were not you “sat below the salt.” Because of it’s value the sharing of salt was a symbol of trust and friendship. Woe to he , or she, who spilled salt as it was seen as a grievous insult as can be seen by this German proverb, “whoever spills salt arouses enmity”.

One thing that has remained constant through the centuries is the use of salt in religious practices. It can be found on altars as a symbol of purity. References to salt appear 30 times within the Bible in both Old and New Testament. it is used in the Jewish faith as a remembrance of sacrifice and in the Catholic church it is used in a variety of purification rituals and for exorcisms. For Pagans and Wiccans  it is an altar staple that represents the element of earth or sometimes water depending on your tradition. It is also used for purification, cleansing and protection spells. According  to Buddhist tradition, salt repels evil spirits and in the Shinto religion salt is used for purification. This can be seen during sumo matches when a handful of salt is thrown into the ring to drive away evil spirits. In the American Southwest there is a Hopi legend about the Warrior Twins punishing man by making it hard work to extract the salt they needed. The Zuni people honor Salt Woman ( Ma’l Oyattsik’i) who lives in the Zuni Salt Lake. This is  a sacred site for many of the southwest tribes who collect the salt during summer when the water evaporates for ceremonies.

Finally, salt has it’s place in superstition as well. In European lore spilling salt is an evil omen. One theory for this is that during the last supper Judas Iscariot spilled the salt. In fact you can see this in da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper”. ( I had to look at it myself) If you actually spill salt you can avert bad luck by tossing a pinch over your left shoulder. This remedy is of Christian origin and has to do with the Devil. By throwing a pinch of salt over your left shoulder you are throwing it in the Devil’s eye. It’s supposed to blind him and fend off the bad luck he has in store for you. There are other superstitions about salt and if you are interested you can read about them here: http://superstitiondictionary.com/superstitions-about-salt/

I hope that you have enjoyed our little journey down the “salt road”

Bright Blessings for a Magickal Week!

Lessons and Tests:  Cat’s Angel Message for November 9, 2017

November’s Theme: Watching our thoughts. Positive opens and draws, Negative closes and blocks. Stay focused on what you want and not what you fear.

The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.

– Tom Bodett

119: Our power of positive thought may be tested today. The key lies in our ability to set negativity in it’s place and move forward. Do your best to keep it at a distance and walk away from negative situations and people. This goes hand in hand with the changes we’ve been working on recently. During  times of change it seems that we are more susceptible to getting caught in negative webs, so take necessary precautions to avoid these traps. We are also reminded to look for  success in everything that you do and look for at least one positive thing in every situation. There is always something that you can use to continue building the life you want. If you feel the need to move in a certain direction,  or take specific action grab your confidence by the hand and move forward!

Archangel Jeremiel helps us to make positive adjustments to our path. The Ascended Master Sanat Kumara helps to rid people of negative entities and energies. His job is to banish the darkness in the minds of mankind and the Hindu Mother Goddess Durga teaches us how to create boundaries and maintain them as well as protecting yourself from the negative energy of others. Our Sacred Stones for today are Black Tourmaline which offer protection from curses and ill wishing along with all forms of negative energy and Amber which helps the manifestation process and shows us the way to attain our goals.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!
