Thought For The Day: May 6, 2019 ” Magic Things”

Happy Monday,

Our lives can be hectic and overfull of things we have to do. So today is a reminder to “stop and smell the flowers” . There is magic everywhere and in the smallest and  most mundane of things. But when we get caught up in our own “stuff’ we fail to appreciate the magic around us. If lifes “things” have you closed in, take a moment to just breathe. Stand in the sun, go barefoot in the grass, feel the breeze on your face. Clear the senses, still the mind and absorb the magic.

Happy Monday ,

We often attribute wisdom to a persons age, however  that’s not always the case. Don’t assume that just because a person is older that they are wise. The truth is that some of the wisest people I know are the young. Age doesn’t matter. Weigh the words for yourself. If they have merit take them to heart. If they don’t then take what’s usable and discard the rest, or use none of it. Above all don’t be afraid to use your own wisdom because that’s what will get you the farthest.

This is an interesting quote and probably something we have all said at one time or another. I think we say “I don’t have time” to be polite. Words and truth are important and while we may be busy and our time may be limited it’s what we say that matters.  Instead of ” I don’t have time” how about “I’m not able to do that right now but let me see where I can fit that in.” If you really don’t want to do something, the truth is always best.
