Thought For The Day: Sept. 19, 2017 “Live For Yourself”

Happy Tuesday!

The path we choose to navigate through life is ours. We cannot live for someone else or live the life that someone else has chosen for us, it diminishes us as  people and  individuals. By walking our own path we are free to invite others to walk with us as well as choosing to walk with them if it suits our needs. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to life. It’s okay to live your life on your terms, to do things that make you stronger as a person, do things that make you happy and that help you continue your own personal evolution. Do not allow others to hold you back or hold you down. It’s you choice to either walk in the shadow of another or to step into the light and live for yourself.

The Opportunity For Kindness: Cat’s Angel Message for September 18, 2017  

September’s Theme:  Life Purpose.  Sometimes we have a clear vision of what that is and sometimes we don’t. Many of us fall into the second category and that’s OK!  Remember that everything you do has an impact on your world and the people in it and around you. Life Purpose can be very simple, like making “tiny miracles” happen for others or even making your own life or the life of a loved one better.  Sometimes the small things are the best!

Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness. ~ Seneca

918: As we start the new week the angels are asking us to consider this: “How can I be of service?” Being of service to others is part of everyone’s Life Purpose or Mission. By helping others the energy that extend flows out and on it’s journey it touches multiple people and situations before returning to us. Sometimes being of service can be big undertaking, however more often than not it’s the small things that  bring the greatest joy and reward. There are many ways to be of service: Helping an elderly relative or neighbor. Maybe you know someone who need a little mentoring or just someone to talk to. Spending quality time with your family. Volunteering at a local charity or even helping a stranger.  Embrace unity and community and keep the energy moving today, not only does it makes others feel good, it makes you feel good too!

Archangel Jophiel, the angel of Illumination and wisdom, fills us with beautiful, loving thoughts and uplifting energy which helps us to create a fresh approach to life. The Egyptian goddess Isis helps us to see with compassion and promotes respect for others and the Ascended Master El Morya supports all who give of themselves to help lift up others. Use Apatite to embrace a humanitarian attitude which helps to show where and how  we can be of service or Rose Quartz to promote loving, compassion for yourself and for others.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 18, 2017 “Not My Circus”

Happy Monday!

We all know how easy it is to get caught up in the drama of everyday life. The path to inner peace lies in the ability to avoid getting caught up in the things that really don’t concern you. Drama, like misery loves company and one of my favorite saying as of late is “Not my circus, not my monkeys.”  This is not about shielding yourself because you can create all the “shields and protections you want” but at the end of the day if you find yourself drawn into the drama of others, it’s because you allowed yourself  to be. You do have a choice, play along or walk away. When faced with drama ask yourself, ” Is this really worth it?” Remember that you are responsible for creating your own safe and peaceful oasis!

917: Today is about affirmations. While I’m not a fan of the whole affirmation thing, I AM a fan of “self lifting” phrases like “I CAN” and “I AM”. These phrases are some of the best words of encouragement you can gift to yourself. They ignite our courage, and determination which is essential to making forward progress in our lives. They can also help us in regards to our life purpose. Remember, your life purpose revolves around things you love or feel strongly about. The spark you create with self lifting thinking helps to promote a successful attitude and helps us to move forward on our path. You are capable of manifesting great and wonderful things and it’s a good time to embrace your power and see where it leads you!

The Egyptian god Horus can help open our minds eye and heals the fear we may have about trusting in ourselves and our own wisdom. The Ascended Masters Jesus and Moses are both adept at helping us to access Divine Guidance and Archangel Michael helps us to see our own worth and provides courage and confidence. Our Sacred Stone for today is Lapis Lazuli. This deep blue stone helps to open the Third Eye Chakra (mind’s eye) and stimulates our personal power. It also harmonizes our energies on all levels as this balance and strengthens our knowledge of self.

Autumn Equinox / Mabon / Harvest Home: On or around September 21st

This is the second harvest festival and like the Vernal Equinox night and day are equal. It is a time to honor the changing season and to give thanks for the bounty and abundance in our lives.

Symbols and Decorations: Fall leaves, apples, gourds, vines, flowers, acorns grapes, berries, indian corn and grains.

Colors: Wine, Rust, Brown, Autumn Orange and Gold

Deities: Pomona, Demeter, Persephone, Bacchus, Dionysus, Green Man, Tezcatzontecatl, Osiris

Autumn Equinox and Opening Your Heart

The Autumn Equinox signals the end of the summer months and the beginning of winter. From the Equinox forward, the nights become longer and the days become shorter. The word “equinox” comes from the Latin term that simply means “equal night.” The Fall Equinox arrives on the cusp of Virgo/Libra with astrology using the scales as a symbol of this season. Not only does this represent the balance of light and dark but also an important time to cultivate personal balance and inner harmony.

When the Fall Equinox occurs, the universal energy on our planet shifts, and all of life begins to turn inward. Accompanying the Fall Equinox is a shift from the more “Yang” masculine, action oriented self, to a more “Yin” feminine, intuitive, receptive self. We are being invited into the realms of our inner-worlds, perhaps giving ourselves permission to sleep a little more and delve more fully into our subconscious worlds of dreaming, meditation, contemplation, prayer and creativity.

Autumn is Earth’s designated time to turn inward and surrender. As the nights lengthen and cool, the trees change into their warm and varied colors we are reminded of the cycles mirrored in our lives. As we witness the trees begin to surrender their warm, bright and varied colored leaves, we may be inspired to surrender and relinquish those things that are a burden or no longer serving us. All religious traditions pay tribute to such acts of relinquishment. Fall is the time to practice getting out of the way and invite Spirit to take greater charge of our lives.

The beginning of the Fall season can be a powerful time to take personal inventory and reflect on the seeds you have planted and if those seeds have grown into fruition. It is an opportunity to acknowledge how far you have come and where you may want to go next. This is a potentially a transformational time, where you have the opportunity to take greater responsibility and refocus your attention on what you truly want to manifest and then set the intention to create it.

As we go deeper into the Fall, we celebrate the season of grace, gratitude and thanksgiving. The time of the abundant harvest is symbolized by cornucopias and horn of plenty, overflowing with great bounty. This is joyously accompanied by huge feasts, celebration, music and dance. This is the perfect occasion to consciously open your heart more fully in generosity and celebrate both your divine connection and human relationships. This is a beautiful season to begin a tithing practice or give more fully of your heart, energy, resources, talents and time.

Our time here on Earth is temporary and to meet the seasons with an open and vulnerable heart helps us experience a deeper and more soulful life. To venture forward courageously, with intentionality, while taking responsibility, can support each of us in becoming more empowered and more fulfilled. It can also help us cultivate greater affection and reverence for ourselves for each other and for the world.

If you want peace, stop fighting. If you want peace of mind, stop fighting with your thoughts.  ~ Peter McWilliams

916: Today’s message is a gentle reminder from Spirit that no matter what we do or where our path leads us that we will be just fine. Our number for today lets us know that the Universe is helping us by lighting our path particularly in areas where we need a little balance, spiritually or mentally. The solutions we need to resolve or make things happen lie within and our “helpers” reveal them to us in a calm and loving way. Don’t allow worry to cloud your judgement or halt your progress. Turn these things over to Spirit, the Sacred Feminine or the Angels and let them go. Ask for what you need right now, whether it’s protection, guidance, illumination or simply peace of mind. Stay focused on the best possible outcome and above all have faith in yourself and temper your thoughts with compassion.

The Chinese goddess Kuan Yin answers all who call upon her. She fills our being with compassion and kindness for others and for ourselves. This love gives us the strength to do what we need to do and clears our vision. The Ascended Master Buddha helps us to find balance in our lives, thoughts and within while promoting joy and inner peace, and Archangel Uriel mentors us in making the best possible decisions by using all the information at our disposal. Our Sacred Stone for today is Picasso Marble. The washy earth tones of this stone helps to calm feelings of stress and anxiety as it settles the mind and keeps us grounded.

915: Today will have a bit of wild energy that will advance the changes that we have initiated. Change is an interesting word that inspires both excitement and fear at the same time. Changes represent new beginnings and action which are necessary to our personal evolution. As we grow through change we become stronger and more powerful on all levels (mentally, emotionally, spiritually). Today our guides want us to know that our efforts are paying off. Continue listening to your inner wisdom and the divine guidance you receive and allow yourself to appreciate the “chaos ” around us. Shake hands with change and make it welcome. Remember, you are capable  of creating a new reality so embrace your power and stand strong!

The Greek goddess Artemis  helps us to access and honor our intuition. This virgin goddess who is associated with the crescent moon and hunting helps open the doors to new beginnings which is an essential part of change. As huntress she helps us to track our goals, dreams and desires as we  move forward in our quest for evolution. Archangel Michael can help dispel fear and provides guidance and direction while inspiring us to commit to what we believe in and the Hindu deity Ganesh clears away the obstacles that lie in path. Our Sacred Stone today is Iolite. This “poor man’s amethyst”  helps to ease the process of change while it soothes the emotions that surround it.

Sometime’s we don’t realize what truly magical beings we are. We are unique and beautiful in our own way and everyday we make things happen! Too often we take ourselves and our abilities for granted and this can lead to “amnesia”. We forget what amazing beings we really are and the things that we are able to create and our magic becomes dormant. Waiting for us to remember that it’s there. Look for your magic today, dig for it if you need to, because you deserve to shine!

914: Like any good friend the angels, ascended masters, Sacred Feminine and Spirit are always here to help us, kind of like Jake from State Farm. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist) We can ask any question and make any request. This starts the ball rolling and when do our part by adding our energy to that of our divine friends things begin to happen. Today we are being asked to maintain a positive focus on our goals and our purpose, particularly on what we are working to manifest. Remember to have patience as sometimes things don’t move as quickly as we would like. Divine Right Timing always plays a part and when we are ready on all levels things will naturally fall into place.

The Babylonian goddess Ishtar provides light so that we can see our way clearly. She helps to drive away fear and negative thoughts with gentle healing. Today we can also call on Archangel Jeremiel to help us learn from prior experience so that we are better equipped in the choices that we make and the Ascended Master Sanat Kumara who helps us find the energy to keep going and rise above negative experiences and thought patterns. Our Sacred Stone for today is Azurite. This stone increases our ability to receive spiritual guidance and helps us to see through illusions so that we can see our path clearly.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 14, 2017 ” Being Strong or Being Stubborn”

Happy Thursday!

People like to think that they can do everything themselves. While it’s true that we are capable of  doing maybe … 90% of everything it’s the other 10% that can come back and bite us in the butt. We all know at least one person who refuses to ask for help no matter what, and yes I’ll say it…… it could even be you (we’ve all been there). The things that stop people from asking for help are pride and ego. Maybe they don’t like the person they need to ask, maybe it’s just plain pig-headed stubbornness, or  maybe they feel that no one can help. Whatever the case, the truth is that help can come from anyone and anywhere. There comes a time when we must put pride and ego on the back burner and find the strength to admit we need help and then ask for it. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, there is no shame in it. True strength can be found in recognizing this!
