Honor-Release-Gather: Cat’s Angel Message for December 16, 2019

December’s Theme: It’s time to be proactive about replacing the old with the new. This is more easily done by allowing yourself to use your natural abilities and creativity and by surrounding yourself with love and laughter.

Honor your being, Release each and every struggle, Gather strength from life’s storms, Relax into the arms of spirit. – Jonathan Lockwood Huie

1216: Sometimes it feels like we are struggling with life and that too many things are out of our control. So today we are being reminded that the more we focus on what’s good in our lives the happier we are. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t want something better or to make things better for ourselves. It just means that we should step back and breathe. Remember that by focusing on the good things and the things that we can control it creates a positive flow of energy which brings good things back to us. As we start the countdown to the new year it’s time to embrace our December Theme and release old habits, patterns and thought forms. This will help us to embrace our power and make the necessary room for the blessings that are headed your way. The Universe and your spiritual helpers are here to ensure that all of your needs are met. The opportunity to create something great is here, so allow yourself to take advantage of what’s being offered.

Archangel Haniel showers us with stardust, illuminating our thoughts and memories so that we can remember what magickal beings we truly are, which assists us in the creation process. In turn, this shows us how to receive with grace and gratitude. This process accelerates when we allow beauty and harmony to surround us. It’ helps us to enjoy ourselves which makes blessings easier to receive.

The Ascended Master Buddha helps us to find our “Attitude of Gratitude”.By acknowledging what we have to be grateful for we are filled with joy and inner peace which encourages positive flow. He also reminds us of the important balance between giving and receiving. When we are balanced we find the patience and inner peace we need to go with the flow and can help us embrace the “Tiny Miracles” in our lives as well.

The Roman Goddess Vesta who oversees hearth and home. She helps us to clear space (both in our physical home and our inner home) to make room for new things and teaches us the value of letting go of what we no longer need. ” If something does not make your heart sing put it where it belongs or set it free. This will clear your inner and outer sacred space. Then open the doors and invite the new blessings inside.”

Our Sacred Stones for today include:

Green Calcite also helps to create harmony which allows us to dissolve rigid beliefs and outdated programming. It promotes mental balance, aids in communication and gently helps us to let go of the things that no longer serve us which helps us to draw the good things into our lives that encourage growth. ( Calcite can also be used to promote the balance of your chakras. When our chakras are in balance it’s easier to live the attitude of gratitude.)

While Garnet is best known as a stone of protection it can benefit the use of our natural talents as well. It helps us to overcome any resistance we may have in using our gifts and promotes self-confidence. Garnet removes what no longer serves and mental self-sabotage. It promotes balance and clears and re-energizes the chakras.

Mookite, a form of Jasper that comes in many creamy color combinations, promotes decision making and versatility. These things are important when we are faced with new experiences and find ourselves faced with the need to take action. It encourages us to be flexible during times of change and helps us to embrace new experiences with an open sense of adventure.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

“I believe natural beauty has a necessary place in the spiritual development of any individual or any society. When we talk about the oneness of the universe – we’re not just talking about people. We live with and amongst nature. We share this planet with everything that is here. SMILE!

“Smile, it’s free therapy.”
— Doug Horton

I’ve learned that if I put a smile on my face when I’m feeling down, my spirits will automatically lift. The body knows that a smile means happiness.

Knowing this doesn’t mean I’m always willing to do it. Many times, I have absolutely refused to cheer myself up. Isn’t that interesting!

It’s a clue that sometimes the ego positively enjoys being miserable. It can be enlightening to explore the pay-offs we get from our black moods.

“Depend upon it that if a man talks of his misfortunes there is something in them that is not disagreeable to him; for where there is nothing but pure misery there is never any recourse to the mention of it.”

Victor Hugo said this over 100 years ago. Do you think that the ethic has broken forth into light? What will it take for the world to understand that we are intricately connected to our environment? There are people and organizations making great efforts to preserve our environment, and to stop a lot of the abuse of nature that has been going on. But it seems like these organizations have to fight to get their message across. Happy Wednesday,

We all have a past that has shaped our lives and helped make us who we are. However, the past can be a trap if we refuse to leave it behind. I’m not saying that we should forget about it or pretend it didn’t happen because there are things that we can’t forget or forgive. What we can do though is learn the lessons and move on. We will never create our future if we bury ourselves in our past.

December’s Full “Cold” Moon 2019

Dec Moon
December’s Full “Cold” Moon
Thursday, December 11/ 12, 2019

9:12 pm PST on the 11th /  10:12 pm MST on the 11th /  12:12 am  EST

The moon will be sitting in Gemini and influenced by a rare triple conjunction involving Saturn, Venus, and Pluto. The urge will be to express yourself but the key will be to exercise caution and tact. Emotions will be riding high as well in both romance and nurturing relationships. Communication, attitude, adventure, creative, intuitive are the keywords for this moon.

The final full moon of 2019 seems to have fewer names than other months. However, our ancestors called this moon the Cold Moon, The Bitter Moon, Long Nights Moon, and the Big Winter Moon. It is during this month that the nights are at their longest and winter blankets the land in its cold grip. This is probably where the name Long Nights Moon originated. Our Old English/Anglo-Saxon ancestors called it the Moon Before Yule. Both names are appropriate for this season. The time of midwinter is indeed long and the moon sits just above the horizon.

The Cold Moon honors deities like Minerva, Osiris, Athena, Persephone, and Hades. It is the perfect time to finish tying up loose ends and for working through any remaining darkness from the past year. Take time to acknowledge the hardships and struggles that you have gone through and embrace the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. It is through the experience of the dark times that we learn sun and warmth will always cycle around and we will survive and continue, changed in ways that aid our personal cycle of growth. The work we do during this full moon will help us to welcome the rebirth of the Sun with open hearts. To celebrate this full moon try wearing the triple goddess colors of white, red and black and adorning yourself with rubies, moonstone, serpentine or obsidian.

Snowflakes — those intricate, one-of-a-kind ice crystals — form when precipitation falls through varying levels of humidity and temperatures in the air. EarthSky News: See Venus-Saturn pairing on December 10

Depending on where you live worldwide, Venus and Saturn will snuggle up most closely together on the sky’s dome on December 10 or 11, 2019. On either date, though, Venus and Saturn will appear plenty close together in your sky. For the next several days, look for this bright pair of lights to pop out rather low in the southwest as dusk ebbs into nightfall.

Patheos-Pagan: The Corner Crone: Tiptoeing Toward the Otherfolk

I’ll be straight-up honest with you: since childhood the Otherworld and its denizens, the Otherfolk, have pretty much scared the ever-lovin’ snot out of me.
My reaction goes well beyond “healthy respect”; it’s more of an avoid-at-all-costs kind of thing, which—

Inner Journey:

HONESTY

“Every violation of truth is not only a sort of suicide in the liar, but is a stab at the health of human society.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

What level of honesty are you living now? How honest are you with strangers, institutions and businesses, acquaintances, friends, family, spouse? How honest are you with yourself?

“Our lives improve only when we take chances – and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves.”
— Walter Anderson

A Note from the Universe

When you look into the mirror do you look for what you love most?

Do you look for me?

Do you smile?

Did you just ask, “Is there any other reason to look into a mirror?”

Smartie,

Today’s Recipe: Quick & Easy: Crunchy Holiday Cinnamon-Cranberry-Oatmeal Cookies

Scents and memories of past holidays are awakened when I bake these crispy wonders.

“I believe natural beauty has a necessary place in the spiritual development of any individual or any society. I believe that whenever we destroy beauty, or whenever we substitute something man-made and artificial for a natural feature of the earth, we have retarded some part of man’s spiritual growth.”

-Rachel Carson (1907-1964)

When we talk about the oneness of the universe – we’re not just talking about people. We live with and amongst nature. We share this planet with everything that is here. We’re all made up of the same “stuff.” We need nature and it’s nutrients to nourish ourselves! Nature nourishes our bodies, and it also nurtures our spirit. The profound peace that we feel when we are in the mountains, or under a starry sky, is food for our soul.

Daily Tarot: The Chariot

If you’ve been working hard toward some goal or specific result, you could see victory today. Feel like a winner, project the confidence of a winner, and perhaps behave as though you have already won. Keep your spirits high no matter what happens and be pleased with how many people are happy for you. No matter how huge or trivial, it is still a big step forward.
