Natural Living Ideas: How To Make Air Cleansing Rosemary & Sage Smudge Sticks
Smudging is the practice of the burning of sacred herbs for spiritual cleansing and purification. It’s a ceremony that has been practiced by Native Americans for centuries.
A selection of herbs, usually white sage or cedar, is bundled with a cotton or hemp string. The bundle is then dried. Once the herbs have thoroughly dried, it’s lit and allowed to smoulder. The smoke is then fanned around an area for cleansing.

If I long for change in my life, however, I need to do more than skim the surface. I need to make time and take time to both learn new approaches and then — most importantly — to apply what I’ve learned. If I jump around to new techniques too rapidly, I won’t benefit from any of them.

Today’s Recipe: Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Meringues
I originally made these for a friend who loves the taste of chocolate peanut butter cups but finds them too heavy. This is the perfect solution! They’re so good, I now prefer these over peanut butter cups, myself. The peanut butter meringues are so crisp and light, even dipped in chocolate, they make you feel much less guilty.

It is interesting to think that we each have a past that we carry with us. No one else can see it, but it has shaped who we are. What the past has taught us shapes our character and influences our behavior, and in that way lends itself to the “title” of the book that people see when they look at us. And yet we know that “you can’t judge a book by its cover.” And more importantly, we know that each of us is still busy writing our books every day, adding pages every moment!
