15: A new year brings us many things that are change related. For example when we make New Year’s resolutions we are attempting to initiate personal changes. We often see change as a scary thing however more often than not these changes are good things. Change = Growth, so try seeing these changes as seeds to be planted and nurtured. By perceiving change in this way we find that we have more control and are more prepared when our ‘seeds of change” grow to maturity. Today the Universe is telling us that something in our life is about to change and new things are headed our way. These changes will be for the better so don’t let fear hold you back. Remember, the seeds of change that you plant along your path will help pave the way for success. Ask for Divine help if you need it and listen to your inner wisdom. You know what you need to do and this is about creating the life you want.

MNN: Meet India’s beautiful technicolor squirrels


We’re used to squirrels that are gray or a coppery red and relatively small. Sure, we may come across a squirrel that has had a few too many acorns, but that’s about it.

This isn’t the case in India, however. The country is home to a very colorful and large squirrel species, Ratufa indica, otherwise known as the Indian giant squirrel or the Malabar giant squirrel.

I love the word authentic. Authentic means genuine, real, true – and when applied to people it means being true to yourself, being your TRUE self, expressing yourself, and nothing less. We sense when people are authentic, just as we can tell when they are imitating, or role playing. When we are authentic, our light shines through, and our path is illuminated. “This above all…” Shakespeare says. It is important to be authentic, important for our well-being and for our spiritual growth.
