•A storm that didn’t clear,
•Lightning that didn’t retreat,
•An earthquake that didn’t still,
•A flood that didn’t recede, or,
•A virus that wasn’t eventually, completely, and utterly overwhelmed by the healthy.

Now, as a rule, I’m not into odds, statistics, or gambling, but it doesn’t take a genius to see that something’s going on “down there,” the deck is clearly stacked, you’ve got friends in some very high places, and none of the “hard and mean” stuff was ever true.

There always seems to be someone who complains, who is impatient, and who makes the experience more aggravating for everyone around. And then there’s the kind-hearted person who uses the time to chat with the other people in line, who steps up and smiles and thanks the person doing the work. That person makes the experience much more pleasant! Next time you’re in line, observe. And choose to wait wisely!

TUNE INTO THE INNER CRITIC

Are you aware of your inner critic? We all have this voice that tells us we are bad, stupid, clumsy, cowardly…. Although its intent is to help us succeed, the harsh self talk of our critic just serves to drain our energy and lower our morale and immune system.

To defuse the inner critic, we need to recognize when the critic is speaking. We need to know that this voice does not necessarily speak for who we really are. A Note from the Universe

There are some things that are best forgotten. And when I remember what a few of them are, I’ll drop you a line. But a couple of things worth remembering, that are all too easily forgotten, are the times in your life when you felt absolutely alone and uncertain. Yet somehow, perhaps beyond perception, there was a great click, after which suddenly a new friend appeared, an idea was imparted, or a connection established, causing the tides to turn and the floodgates to open.

And remembering this, should such “alone and uncertain times” ever revisit, however dark they may seem, you’ll at least be comforted by recalling how transient they always are.
