Elephant Journal: It’s Time to say F*ck You to the Present Moment.
I’m so damned sick of all this living in the now nonsense.
And I’m not alone. Health organisations all over the world have declared a philosophical pandemic. The cause of this catastrophe is an insidious conceptual contagion that’s turning the woke world into hordes of mindless zombies.
The question is, how can we survive this vacuous apocalypse?

MNN: Does awe lift your spirits or stress you out?
Awe invigorates some people but makes others anxious, and a new study suggests your reaction may depend on how you see yourself.
Awe is an awfully complex emotion, conjuring feelings of reverence that can range from wonder to dread. It’s a blend of fear and surprise, according to some definitions, although it often feels like more than the sum of those parts

EarthSky News: Spectacular Draconid meteor shower in 2018?
In 2018, there’s no moon to spoil the show. The parent comet recently passed near. Best night is likely October 8. To see the most meteors … watch in the evening, not after midnight. And find a dark country sky!

Patheos-Pagan: Spirits of Place
Spirits of Place are the unseen energies, or entities, that dwell in the same places that you do. Some might consider the Spirits of Place as Fae beings. Others might look at the Spirits of Place as tutelary spirits. While others might feel that the Spirits of Place are the beauty of nature itself. However you might experience the Spirits of Place, connecting with them can greatly improve your life.

Inner Journey:
DEEPER COMMUNICATION
“Once a human being has arrived on this earth, communication is the largest single factor determining what kinds of relationships he makes with others and what happens to him in the world about him.”
— Virginia Satir
How do you typically communicate? Is it through words, gestures, emotions, thoughts, desires, needs, truths, direct perception or intuition? Do you focus more on the other person or on yourself? Do you typically tell, ask or listen?
For a few days, set an intention to be aware of your communication styles and skills. After you’ve spent some time talking with someone, reflect on what your underlying motives were and what level of depth you reached. Write your insights in your journal. This exercise will help you become more aware and conscious of who you are and why you do what you do.
“We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversation with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk.”
— Thomas Moore

A Note from the Universe
Did you know that it’s perfectly OK, even highly ideal, to claim all is well amid doubt and confusion? To be happy in spite of challenges? To laugh at problems? Dance without a partner? Sing without a rhyme? Talk to inanimate objects?
Oddly, most don’t.
You so rock,

Prayer
“Prayer is something deeper than words. It is present in the soul before it has been formulated in words. And it abides in the soul after the last words of prayer have passed over our lips.”
-O. Hallesby
We feel our prayers more than we really say our prayers. Prayers become real to us when the emotion behind them, within them, is so strong that the prayer becomes animated – it has life. Our soul houses these prayers before our minds even figure out how to articulate them. Prayers can be silent, yet heart-felt.

Beliefnet: 6 Things to Stop Feeling Guilty About Immediately
“Guilt is to the spirit as pain is to the body” -Elder David A. Bedna
Guilt is such a strong word but many people, especially women, feel guilt more often than not. Guilt can be defined as “feelings of deserving blame especially for imagined offenses or from a sense of inadequacy”. It makes us feel inadequate or that we aren’t doing enough for something, someone, or ourselves.
