There are people who seem to thrive on drama. They just love to draw you in and keep you ensnared resulting in the loss of our time and energy as we “help them with the mess they create.” There comes a time when the best thing we can do is cut the ties and move on. While this can be hard sometimes, it’s worth it in the long run. Remember, you have a choice in this and your peace of mind is worth more than unwanted drama.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.

“Right living is a way to right thinking.”
-Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972)
It all works together. Just like diet and exercise – we need both to stay in shape! How we live and how we think are intricately linked. Are we living the life we want to live; are we thinking the thoughts we want to think? “The good life” to me is living in integrity, in love, in balance. Thinking thoughts that encourage those things helps to strengthen them in our lives. The diet is our thoughts; the exercise is our actions.

Learning to be silent can be a hard lesson. The key is knowing when words are simply wasted on someone and walking away. However, if you talk and what you say doesn’t get through or is continually ignored, then staying silent is usually the best option. Struggling with someone who deserves your silence can be emotionally harmful. It upsets us that we are not being heard and we push back. It can create some very stressful emotions and situations, not to mention that we are continually repeating ourselves and “beating a dead horse”. Learn to know when your words are wasted and let it go.

A little bit of humor from Emerson, a favorite of mine! His point is that we are so much on “auto pilot” that we rarely take time out just to think. There is a lot of busy-ness, or business, going on, all the time, and we tend to jump right from one thing to the next with barely a breath in between. How rare, and yet, how wonderful, to take a moment, or two, or twenty, to just sit and think.

Our thought today is a reminder about “Tiny Miracles”. Tiny miracles are what make up our everyday existence. The problem is that they tend to get overlooked and go unacknowledged. We have so many things to be grateful for. A sunrise, a sunset, 5 minutes of quiet time, the absence of pain, a loving touch, time spent with a friend. The small things, the everyday things, even boring things. Live life as it was meant to be and embrace the miracles both large and small!
Do you remember the childhood ritual of making a wish on a dandelion and the magic you felt? As children, we found magic everywhere but many (not all) tend to lose that sense of wonder as they get older. There are a few theories about why this happens but I think the reason is that we are told that magic doesn’t exist and that we need to grow up. The truth is that magic does exist and in fact surrounds us all the time. Take a moment today and touch base with the child within. So, when was the last time that you made a wish?
