Remember that life isn’t a “one size fits all” and that the blessings and opportunities that you receive are tailored for you. August Full “Corn” Moon

The Old Farmer’s Almanac calls this moon the Sturgeon Moon because the Native people of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain knew this was the best time to catch these big fish. The lake sturgeon is the largest fish in North America and were at one time abundant in the lakes and rivers. I have also seen it called the Barley Moon or Corn Moon as this moon is also associated with grain and the rebirth we celebrated at Lughbasadh.

Other names for this moon are Dog’s Day Moon (Colonial American), Harvest Moon (China), Fruit Moon (Cherokee), Women’s Moon (Choctaw), Moon When All Things Ripen (Dakota), Dispute Moon (Celtic), Lightning Moon (Pagan).

Carry the harvest theme over into your magickal workings for the day. What can you sacrifice (harvest) today that will help you in the future. Make a list of the things that you are ready to sacrifice in this cycle. Spiritual and physical health are also good areas to work on at this time.

Today’s Message: Pieces Of The Puzzle

820: Today the angels are delivering this message. . “The Universe holds a bountiful supply for everyone and all you need is within your grasp. Have faith in yourself and in me. My angels are here to help you, so do not be afraid to make requests of them.” Remember that “divine right timing” also comes into play here. When we make a request things are set into motion and sometimes we see quick results and sometimes we must wait. When our requests seem to be on hold it is because we are not quite ready for this specific request to be fulfilled. The Universe waits until all the pieces are in place before sending things our way. Behind the scenes, things are happening and the wheels are turning bringing you closer to your desired outcome.

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:

Archangel Sandalphon hears all requests and makes sure that they get to the Angel or Ascended Master who is best able to handle them. Ask him to help you clearly understand the information that you receive (his favorite mode of communication is music and he is associated with the color turquoise!). Sandalphon also provides us with an emotional boost of courage. This is important as it helps us to make bold decisions that will help us on our path.

The Ascended Master Kuthumi helps us to navigate the distractions of everyday life. He encourages us to focus on what’s important right now and to stop fighting the things that we have no control over, which blocks our problem solving and creative flow. Things flow easier when we are not struggling against the “what if’s and maybes.

The Egyptian goddess Bastet (Bast) is not only associated with cats both large and small she is also a goddess of protection and of things that bring pleasure to the senses. In her role as protector she tells us “Never be afraid to stand up for yourself or move in the direction you know is right. Remember the importance of setting boundaries. This helps you to take control of your life”

Apophyllite promotes a strong connection between the physical body and the information that is transmitted from the spiritual realms. It also helps to bring Universal love into the decision making process so that mind and spirit are connected.

Cavansite. This stone helps to guide us through major life changes as well as helping us learn from past experiences so that we don’t make the same mistakes/choices again. It also helps us to retain information that applies to spiritual growth. Cavansite helps to promote new ideas and can be used in conjunction with the Third Eye or brow chakra.

Turquoise helps us with creative problem solving and promotes both balance and intuition. It is aligned with the Throat Chakra and teaches us to speak up for ourselves and to speak our truth, which can be a valuable asset when working with gratitude and our ability to create. Turquoise helps to purify our energy and clears away negative energy. it aids our problem solving skills and protects us against self sabotaging thoughts and actions.

This scenario is familiar. Have you ever been in a long line, and the person serving customers is just doing the best that they can. Maybe the place is understaffed, or unexpectedly busy. There always seems to be someone who complains, who is impatient, and who makes the experience more aggravating for everyone around. And then there’s the kind-hearted person who uses the time to chat with the other people in line, who steps up and smiles and thanks the person doing the work. That person makes the experience much more pleasant! Next time you’re in line, observe. And choose to wait wisely!
