Thought For The Day: Oct.3, 2017 ” A Proactive Approach”

Happy Monday, welcome to a new week and a new month!

Let’s talk about problems. We all have them and we all have to deal with them one way or the other.  The truth about problems is that quite often we  create our own. We overreact, we wait too long, we don’t wait long enough,  we let others take advantage of us, or we ignore things when they do happen and pretend that they didn’t. If we are proactive about problems quite often we  can nip it before it really gets started. Sometimes it’s necessary to let go (people, things, relationships, etc.)  to put an end to a problem. If that little voice inside says “Let’s take care of this now, BEFORE it bites us in the butt!”, be proactive and handle it. You’ll find that can save yourself a lot of emotional distress, time, and even money. Why is this important? Because it gives you more time to do things that bring you joy instead of aggravation.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 29, 2017 “Be a Wild Child”

Happy Friday, after a long week wouldn’t it be  nice to just get away? Feel the sun and listen to the wind in the trees.  I think it sounds pretty good. This is just another message about the need to unplug, even if it’s just for a short time. As a society we are too attached to our devices and too caught up in our jobs. Take some time and just step back. Allow nature to heal those small, dark places that hide within each of us.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 28, 2017 ” The Acid of Anger”

Happy Thursday,

Our thought for the day is from Mark Twain. It seems that lately everyone is angry …………… with everything. Angry people are unhappy people, everyone is against them, nothing is good enough (blah, blah, blah). Some folks can get angry and let it go. Others hold onto their anger. They nurture it and help it grow to sometimes epic proportions. By holding onto their anger they are ultimately hurting themselves. Long term anger can cause anxiety, health/emotional problems, loss of relationships and friends.  You are in charge of your own peace and happiness, learn to let go (even if you can’t forgive). Anger has it’s place but it shouldn’t live there permanently.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 27, 2017 “Living Fearlessly”

Happy Wednesday, we’ve made it to the middle of the week!

Our daily lives are made up of man things. How we deal with them is up to us and how we view them lies in our perspective. Life isn’t about conquering a person it’s about teaching them that what we do matters, how we do it matters, and how we relate to it matters. If something doesn’t work out, take a breath and try again.  If your life is one big B movie drama maybe it’s time to try another theatre. If people in your life are holding you back or down it’s time to let them go and find other who will lift you up. Life isn’t easy and that’s the truth. Fearless living comes through recognizing your worth and not settling for easy and safe.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 26, 2017 ” Being Curious”

Happy Tuesday,

People have become more judgemental lately, we see and read about it everywhere. When did we start judging everyone and everything, when did that become okay? When did we stop being curious enough to ask ” Why do you feel or think, that way?” and then really listen to the answer. While we will never agree on everything it’s important to remember that there is always more than one side. Curiosity means that we have more information which provides understanding. Understanding means that even if we can’t completely agree with where another is coming from,  we may be able to find common ground. Common ground helps to build a starting point from which good things can grow.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 25, 2017 ” Blessings”

Happy Monday and welcome to a new week!

It sure feel like fall here and our mountains have even received a little snow. The leaves are changing and the cats are getting their “fat” cold weather fur and want to snuggle more. I love autumn!

Our Thought for the day is just a reminder about blessings. Our lives are filled with them, some we see right away while others suddenly hit us with a ‘WOW! How did that happen?” moment. being able to see the blessings in our lives is really about perspective. Good or bad it colors the way we see things. The key is to not close yourself off (fear and stress can be a big factor). Approach each day with an attitude of wonder and expectancy. Look for the little things, they create bigger things and before you know it you are seeing awesome stuff everywhere!

Thought For The Day: Sept. 22, 2017 ” Autumn Blessings!”

Happy Friday and Autumn Blessings!

Autumn is the season of balance leading into the introspection of Winter. Take some time today to relax and reflect. We have all grown since Spring in ways that are visible and in others not yet realized. Acknowledge your accomplishments  and reap the benefits of your personal harvest. Embrace gratitude for life, lessons, family, and all the good things that have come your way.

For all my fellow pagans, Happy Mabon and Harvest Home Blessings!

Thought For The Day: Sept. 20, 2017 “Winning Wednesday”

Happy Wednesday!

Well… we’ve made to the middle of the week. Our thought for the day is pretty simple so just let your inner shiney and sparkly out to play.  We are capable of creating great things…. YES! Even you!

  • Keep moving forward
  • The world is your oyster
  • Don’t box yourself in
  • Believe in yourself

You have totally got this, so lets get out there and shake things up and make things happen!

Thought For The Day: Sept. 19, 2017 “Live For Yourself”

Happy Tuesday!

The path we choose to navigate through life is ours. We cannot live for someone else or live the life that someone else has chosen for us, it diminishes us as  people and  individuals. By walking our own path we are free to invite others to walk with us as well as choosing to walk with them if it suits our needs. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to life. It’s okay to live your life on your terms, to do things that make you stronger as a person, do things that make you happy and that help you continue your own personal evolution. Do not allow others to hold you back or hold you down. It’s you choice to either walk in the shadow of another or to step into the light and live for yourself.

Thought For The Day: Sept. 18, 2017 “Not My Circus”

Happy Monday!

We all know how easy it is to get caught up in the drama of everyday life. The path to inner peace lies in the ability to avoid getting caught up in the things that really don’t concern you. Drama, like misery loves company and one of my favorite saying as of late is “Not my circus, not my monkeys.”  This is not about shielding yourself because you can create all the “shields and protections you want” but at the end of the day if you find yourself drawn into the drama of others, it’s because you allowed yourself  to be. You do have a choice, play along or walk away. When faced with drama ask yourself, ” Is this really worth it?” Remember that you are responsible for creating your own safe and peaceful oasis!
