The Sun, with all those planets
revolving around it
and dependent on it,
can still ripen a bunch of grapes
as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.
-Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)
The Wild Hunt: New Merlin tale discovered in archives
BRISTOL, United Kingdom – Most of us, as Pagans, are familiar with the tales of King Arthur. The ‘Matter of Britain’ proves perennially popular, with a regular output of films, TV shows and fantasy novels based on the Arthurian cycle.
MBG: We’re Obsessed With These 7 Earth-Friendly Feng Shui Tweaks
Feng shui helps you create a home that makes you feel at home. As a feng shui designer, I’ve seen firsthand how when our physical surroundings make us feel grounded and secure, the rest of our life can open up and flourish as a result.
Elephant Journal: What it actually means to “Sit with our Emotions & Let them Go.”
Most everywhere we turn in this new age of spirituality, there is a positive saying or quote to lift us up into personal bliss and nirvana.
I love these sentiments. I eat them for breakfast, salivating on how it feels inside when I’m right in that place or need a quick pick-me-up throughout the day and then eyeing one more in the evening to get my fix
MNN: You know it’s winter when it snows in the desert
It’s been a strange winter, with a polar vortex and other storm systems popping up across the country.
The ice and snow even found its way to the California desert. Even Yucca Valley, which lies east of Los Angeles and just outside the boundaries of Joshua Tree National Park, got some snow — and it led to some incredible photos.
EarthSky News: Moon and Spica rise at late evening
On February 22, 2019, you’ll have to stay up fairly late to view the moon and Spica, the constellation Virgo’s brightest star, rising into your eastern sky. At mid-northern latitudes, look for the twosome to be up by around 10 to 11 p.m. At more southerly latitudes, the moon and Spica will rise earlier in the evening
Patheos-Pagan: Anxiety and Witchcraft
I used to thrive off of adrenaline. Once upon a time I did really well with a long to-do list and a short deadline. I don’t know when things changed, but things did change. My capacity to hold high levels of stress has greatly diminished, with the added bonus of occasional anxiety attacks. In order to stay as mentally healthy as possible I let my anxiety inform my Witchcraft and vice versa.
LOOKING FOR SAFETY?
“Security is when everything is settled, when nothing can happen to you; security is the denial of life.”
— Germaine Greer
Our personality likes to be in control. It likes to know how things are and what’s going to happen. Underlying this desire for stability and predictability is a deep fear that the world is a dangerous place. The personality fears it will not survive without continually being on guard.
The truth is: we cannot control what happens in life. And under the natural law of attraction, we tend to attract to us what we focus on. EXPLORE SUBSTITUTING TRUST FOR FEAR and the world becomes a gentler, happier place.
“There are no guarantees. From the viewpoint of fear, none are strong enough. From the viewpoint of love, none are necessary.”
“One thing we can do is make the choice to view the world in a healthy way. We can choose to see the world as safe with only moments of danger rather than seeing the world as dangerous with only moments of safety.”
— Deepak Chopra
A Note from the Universe
People believe what they want to believe. And this, alone, explains what they have or don’t have.
Does that make your entire flippin’ day, or what?!
