Harvesting  Abundance: Cat’s Angel Message for August 28, 2018

828:  The Pagan theme for the month of August is the first harvest. This started on the first with the festival of Lughnasadh and it applies to today’s number as well. It’s time to harvest some of the seed thoughts we planted a few months back to generate new areas of personal growth. If you have been tending and nurturing these “seeds” you will find that some are ready to harvest. However, some may not be quite ready and will require more time and care. Don’t worry we will have the month of September to apply finishing touches. Today the angels are reminding us to have faith in ourselves and in the abundance of the Universe. When we gratefully acknowledge our “Tiny Miracles” and do our part the Universe steps in and helps us out. Give yourself a BIG hug for all the wonderful things that you have accomplished so far this year!




The Angel Gamaliel shows us the blessings and abundance that are ready to be harvested and helps us to make room for more. The Ascended Master Maitreya, the Laughing Buddha, shows that joy opens our hearts and minds so that we can clearly see life’s bounty and  the Celtic Sun god Lugh, the patron of the first harvest, shares the fiery energy that inspires new growth and sheds light in areas of darkness. MNN: Adorable baby pygmy hippopotamus born at Toronto Zoo


Watch out, Fiona! There’s a cute new baby hippo in North America, and she’s coming for your social media likes.

A female pygmy hippopotamus (Choeropsis liberiensis) calf was born at the Toronto Zoo on Aug. 10. The zoo announced her birth this week.


This was the first surviving calf for Kindia, a 12-year-old female, and the seventh pygmy hippopotamus born in the zoo’s history.

827: Today we continue our quest to release any fearful and negative thinking that may be keeping us from embracing prosperity and abundance. Ground, clear and center as this will help the release process. Take a deep breath and affirm “Prosperity and abundance flows into my life with ease. I am worthy of and ready to receive all the good things the Universe has in store for me.” Call on the Universe for assistance and take the guidance that is offered. Remember that prosperity and abundance can come from anywhere and the key is to keep yourself open to new information. Most importantly take the necessary steps and corresponding actions if you feel compelled to do so!

By allowing fear to take over  our lives and actions it breaks our faith and our forward momentum. 825: We’ve been working with faith, confidence and intuition and today we are being asked to add self honesty to the mix and  put them to work on a different level. There are times when we need to step back and  look at where we are and what surrounds us and today is one of those times. To move forward we need to make choices and decisions that speak to our personal truth. It’s time to gently let go of the things that are draining your time and energy (people, situations and energies) in favor of more positive things. Have faith in yourself to do the right things, and have the confidence to use your intuition as a guide to new and better things. The Old Farmer’s Almanac calls this moon the Sturgeon Moon because the Native people of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain knew this was the best time to catch these big fish. I have also seen it called the Barley Moon or Corn Moon as this moon is also associated with grain and the rebirth we celebrated at Lughbasadh.


Other names for this moon are Dog’s Day Moon (Colonial American), Harvest Moon (China), Fruit Moon (Cherokee), Women’s Moon (Choctaw), Moon When All Things Ripen (Dakotah), Dispute Moon (Celtic), Lightning Moon (Pagan).


The Moon will be traveling through dreamy Pisces so you intuitive antenna may be vibrating. Go easy. While  intuition and imagination are a good thing don’t allow yourself to go overboard and let key details slip past.


Carry this months harvest theme over into your magickal workings for the day. What can you sacrifice (harvest) today that will help you in the future. Spiritual and physical health are also good areas to work on at this time.

824: Yesterday we talked about using our natural talents to help us create what we want. However,  to make things happen we must also have faith in ourselves and in the Universe. Our angels are reminding us that faith relies upon courage. When our courage wavers so can our faith. Since our thoughts and actions create our reality it’s fair to say that our courage and conviction stem from them as well. We can help ourselves even more by allowing ourselves to be guided through personal truth and values. rely on your inner guidance and your ability to think outside the box. Gather your gifts around you like an armored cloak and move through your day confidence and create the life you deserve!




Archangel Michael helps us by inspiring courage and providing energy and direction. He shows us that we are worthy of good things and that we are divinely protected on our path. The Ascended Master, Saint Padre Pio has an optimistic energy that he loves to share with those who ask. He assists in both faith and areas requiring spiritual growth. And the Hindu Goddess, White Tara asks us to “Come and sit beside me. I will help ease the worry in your heart and teach you how to replace it with gratitude and joy. This is where faith dwells and we must only open the doors and invite it forward.”




Our Sacred Stones for today are  Hematite which  promotes grounding, strength and courage, and Amethyst. This crystal is a powerful protector and helps to shield us from unwanted energies, which it transmutes into something more positive while dispelling anxiety and fear It helps the thought process by providing focus and clearing the way to good decision making. It is also connected to Archangel Michael which allows us to feel his energy and the energy of divine love.
