We all have dreams, some are fanciful and some are realistic. Your dreams belong to you. If you choose to share them with others that’s ok. Just like holding them close is ok too. What matters is that you act upon them and help them get started. Work on them just a little every day. Take the steps especially the small ones and above all take pride in the steps you take. Dreams are important to our overall well being so let yours help you to grow!
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

Most folks know Samhain as Halloween, but for many modern Pagans, Samhain is considered a Sabbat to honor the ancestors who came before us, marking the dark time of the year. MBG: How To Track Dreams (And Reframe Nightmares) With A Personal Dream Journal
From slithering snakes to teeth falling out, dream themes can get weird. Who isn’t a little curious about what their dreams are all about? One of the best ways to start interpreting your dreams is by keeping a dream journal. We got therapist and dream expert Leslie Ellis, Ph.D.’s take on the best way to start one and comb through its entries for some insights into your subconscious.
This beautifully moving film features Aralyn Doiron, a delightful woman who has trained to be a Death Walker, someone who values a relationship with death and someone who values life. She suggests that it is only when we acknowledge that we are going to die one day, that we can truly start to live. The fact that many of us are separated from death is a disconnect from our humanity. She encourages having normal conversations about death, something we don’t usually talk about, bringing death more into our lives in an enlivening way. Death teaches us about impermanence and about valuing what we have in the moment. { read more }

Elephant Journal: 20 Van Gogh Quotes that will Touch your Soul in these Dark Times.
“What am I in the eyes of most people—a nonentity, an eccentric, or an unpleasant person—somebody who has no position in society and will never have; in short, the lowest of the low.” ~ Vincent van Gogh

When I read this quote, at the tender age of 18, I fell in love with the artist Vincent Van Gogh. Who’d have thought this “nonentity” would go on to have a painting sell in an auction to the tune of $82.5 million!
Treehugger: Why Walking in Blue Space is Good for Your Well-Being Short, frequent walks around water can boost your mood.
Science has long touted the physical and mental benefits of being in green space. Walking among the trees boosts your well-being. Living near leafy locales can help you live longer. But there’s more to nature’s prescriptions than just the greens of trees, leaves, and grass. Blues have benefits too, a new study finds.
EarthSky News: Orange Arcturus sparkles after sunset
Tonight, look for Arcturus, one of three stars noticeable for flashing in colors in the evening sky at this time of year. You should be able to see it in the west at dusk or nightfall. Once it gets good and dark, and you live at mid-to-far latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere, you can verify that this star is Arcturus by using the Big Dipper asterism.
Obviously, October is particularly special because of Samhain (Hallowmas/All Hallows) at the end of the month. It is a period between times. The leaves are changing, and the air is crisp and clear as the dark nights begin to draw in.
“Getting in touch with your true self must be your first priority.” — Tom Hopkins
Here are some different aspects of self-awareness: •Know yourself – Explore who you are: your defences, your blocks, your talents, your aspirations, etc. •Accept yourself – We are at war with ourselves when we resist or deny certain aspects of who we are. Acknowledge the truth of who you are right now – the positives and the negatives. Only when we own our present reality can we change. •Control yourself – Set clear, conscious intentions and discipline yourself to meet them. •Express yourself – Go to your heart to identify what has meaning and purpose for you. Live your truth. Identify ways you can give back to life and be in service.
We work on each of these aspects all the time. But as our lives go through cycles, we predominantly work on one of them more than the others. Which aspect are you more conscious of lately?

A Note from the Universe
Do you know what’s already happened this month? A million Beethovens were born. A million Oprahs. A million Einsteins. A million Florence Nightingales. A million Martin Luther Kings. And a million Madame Curies, to name just a few. Each as capable of moving mountains, touching lives, and leaving the world far better than they found it.
And so you can just imagine how all of us “here” watch in anticipation to see which ones will have the courage to do whatever little they can each day, with what little they’ve got, from where they are, before their baby steps turn into giant leaps for the legions who will follow them.

Poetry “Poetry is that art which selects and arranges the symbols of thought in such a manner as to excite the imagination the most powerfully and delightfully.”
-William Cullen Bryant (1794-1878)
Poetry seems to be a lost art sometimes, I don’t think we appreciate it enough. I like that with just a few words a poem can illustrate a concept that seems too difficult to explain. It’s because we feel the poetry in our heart first, and then think about its meaning and how it applies to our own lives. I like to read a poem out loud every night before I go to sleep. It puts me into that state where I am ready to dream.

105: Change sometimes happens when we aren’t paying attention and this can be a little scary. However, change is a good thing and when it happens it means we are ready for new growth. Over the last several months we have worked on initiating change in our lives and by doing our best and holding it change in a positive light things progress more smoothly. Be assertive, stay focused, and follow your inner guidance. Today the angels are asking us to stay in the present and acknowledge the changes we have initiated, want to make happen or that are happening now. Asking for assistance from the Divine and from the angels works to our benefit as does asking for the grace and courage to make these changes a reality. Remember to implement your creative thinking to find new ways and ideas that will help you to make things happen.

104: Today the Universe is reminding us that we are always surrounded by divine love. This powerful energy is shared freely and we are being asked to do the same. Empathy and compassion, for self, and for others, are gifts that we can share everyday. While we may not understand or agree with a particular situation or event we can express empathy for what others (or even yourself) are going through. If you are feeling out of sorts today take a moment to clear and center and ask the Source to fill your being with love, peace, and gratitude. Wise Woman Herbal Ezine: Blackberries excerpt from A City Herbal by Maida Silverman
BLACKBERRY SYRUP Put ripe berries into a large pot and mash very gently with a potato masher. Add water to barely cover the berries, and cook over low heat until the steam rises and they start to give up their juice. Remove from heat and strain to remove seeds.
Measure ½ cup of white sugar or mild-flavored honey (such as clover) for each cup of Blackberry juice, mix together the sweetening and juice, and reheat slowly only until sweetening is dissolved. Try not to let the juice or syrup boil, since this tends to destroy the appealing fresh-berry flavor. Keep syrup refrigerated in jars. (It may also be frozen, and keeps very well both ways.)
Witch Indeed: 31 Things To Do Between Now and Samhain
October can be such a boost to the senses, so if you are buzzing around excited about the upcoming Samhain, and all that entails, welcome! September is sometimes such a slog, what with new routines, the change of seasons and weather. Day-to-day life can feel just plain hectic.
When Margaret Murray wrote her ground-breaking God of the Witches in 1931, scholars quickly dismissed her theory of a universal, pre-Christian cult of witches who worshiped a singular mother goddess. However, she wasn’t completely off-base. Many early societies had a mother-like godform, and honored the sacred feminine with their ritual, art and legends.

Inner Journey: Look for the gifts
“In school you get the lesson and then take the test… In life you take the test and then get the lesson.” — Unknown Source
How is a problem in your life really an opportunity?
Problems invite us to go inside to recognize a bigger picture of ourselves and of life. This bigger picture brings meaning to what is unfolding.
When you feel trapped in a problem, see if you can shift your perspective. Ask yourself, “What am I being invited to learn from this situation?” The answer will always revolve around a quality or value, like gratitude, freedom, compassion, love, will, humouror acceptance. The answer will also always promote union rather than separation.
As soon as we find the meaning in our challenge, our resistance to it melts away. Often, awareness of the lesson is all that is needed to resolve the problem. If not, the awareness brings us courage and ways to work through it.

Today’s Spirit Helpers include:
Archangel Uriel teaches us how to access our creative database. He reminds us that sometimes the best way to solve a problem is to use a non-conventional approach. He gives us essential information that we need when we need it. This assists us during the manifestation process by enhancing our problem solving skills so that we can make the decisions that are best for our current situations.
The Himalayan Ascended Master Babaji helps us to achieve the personal and spiritual growth necessary for the letting go process. He assists us in detaching ourselves from both material things and things that no longer serve us. He teaches us that letting go is a form of simplifying your life. It frees your energy so that you can work on what’s important so that new blessings can be received.
The Gnostic goddess Sige teaches us the importance of being still of mind. Information and guidance come more easily when we surrender to the silence. She says” Allow your mind to be still and let your inner wisdom guide you. The answers that you seek are before you if you have the courage to remove the veils and shed light in the shadows.“

Our Sacred Stones for today include:
Moss Agate. This gentle stone promotes new beginnings and can help release the blocks that are keeping us from moving forward. It attracts new forms of abundance and teaches us how to channel our energy in new, creative ways. Often referred to as the gardener’s stone Moss Agate helps us connect to nature, the earth, and our own inner garden as well. Carry it with you or wear it during times of new growth.
Chiastolite (aka Cross Stone or Andalusite) promotes the creative problem solving process. It enables us to release things that are no longer relevant to our current path and dispels any guilt we may have when we leave things behind. It helps us to make the necessary changes and brings harmony to conflicts that arise when we blaze new trails that others were not expecting or able to control.
Pietersite (Tempest Stone) helps us to work through through beliefs and conditioning imposed upon us by others. It opens our intuitive connection and creates a link to a loving level of guidance. It also helps us see the truth and strengthen our will while increasing our focus of where we really want life to take us. It helps us to rid ourselves of negative energy and replaces it with calm.
The past year has been trying to say the least. With all of the separation and isolation it’s easy to become bored. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The key is to welcome our innate sense of curiosity. Start something new, learn something new, do something new. Look for things that ignite that spark and invite you to know more!

Ever since I started writing, I felt that my voice was different. I’ve always looked for beauty and soul connection in my writing and in other’s. That said, I instantly fell in love with Sufi poetry the first time I read Rumi.
You’ve likely ogled at playful dolphins and majestic blue whales, but when is the last time you paid mind to the humble snail or mollusk? In 2019, a lobsterman in Maine reminded us of the lesser-known beauties of the ocean when he caught a rare cotton candy lobster, named and admired for its bright blue, pink, and purple shell.
EarthSky News: Watch for Mars and the full Harvest Moon
Depending on where you live worldwide, the upcoming full moon will fall on October 1 or 2, 2020. For the Northern Hemisphere, this full moon counts as our Harvest Moon (full moon nearest the September equinox) and the first full moon of the autumn season.
Patheos-Pagan: 25 Forms of Banishing – A Versatile Tool in Witchcraft
I am not a magical purist. I do not see any classifications of magic types or tools as isolated bastions, to be used in their most pure state. Instead, I see them as distinct ingredients which can come in handy for accomplishing a wide variety of goals, especially when used together.

A Note from the Universe
So I was thinking… I know you know that there’s the “you” that you know you are — adventurous, good-looking, and fun to be around.
And I know you know that there’s another part of “you” in the unseen who you’ve kind of temporarily forgotten — who completes you, loves you, and knows what’s really going on.
Well, how’d you like it if I removed the veils? Just for a second? Gave you a glimpse of who that special, divine, otherworldly essence is, so that you might at last begin to comprehend how extraordinary, sublime, and divine you really are?
Okay?
It’s me!
Yours truly, The entire, flippin’ Universe

Self-Awareness “Nature never repeats herself, and the possibilities of one human soul will never be found in another.”
-Elizabeth Cady Stanton
Our individuality is our strength. We don’t need to imitate. We don’t need to be anything other than who we are. We are blessed with unique gifts that can’t be duplicated. The more we get to know ourselves, the more we become self-aware, the more that we will find opportunities to use these gifts to make the world a better place.

Daily Tarot: The Fool
You may have the best of intentions today but it won’t be easy to stick to any of them. There’s a lot of randomness in the air and you won’t have very much control over anything. Don’t let this lull you into becoming thoughtless or not caring about what you’re doing. Do what you can and save some energy for tomorrow when things might be smoother.
