My friends and I are absolutely addicted to Mexican fruit salad. It’s chock full of mangos, pineapples, apples, and coconuts, topped with a zesty, chili lime drizzle. We originally had them prepared for us at these fruit stands, but we’ve noticed the prices have absolutely skyrocketed. Now we make our own. This is great because we make it with things we especially like. I love to eat this year round!

EarthSky News: Watch Capella flashing red and green

This evening, check out one of the flashiest stars in the sky. It’s so bright that every year in northern autumn, we get questions from people in the Northern Hemisphere who see a bright star twinkling with red and green flashes. It’s found low in the northeastern sky at nightfall as seen from Northern Hemisphere locations. That star is likely Capella, which is actually a golden star.

When I think of the fall season, I often think of homemade pumpkin bread. What I really like about this recipe is the fact that you can use canned or fresh pumpkin. This bread will freeze well and will keep up to 3 months in your freezer.
