EarthSky News: Moon sweeps past Pleiades and Aldebaran March 1 and 2

On March 1 and 2, 2020 – in the west, after sunset – the moon shines in front of the constellation Taurus the Bull. Taurus has two major signposts: the ruddy star Aldebaran, marking the Eye of the Bull, and the Pleiades star cluster, which is shaped like a tiny, misty dipper of stars. Also on these evenings, the moon’s lit side points directly at the dazzling planet Venus, which sits closer to the sunset horizon.

HIGHER PERSPECTIVES

“Bias and impartiality is in the eye of the beholder.”
— Lord Barnett

According to Andrew Schneider, the radical difference between personality awareness and soul consciousness is a difference in perspectives. Acquiring a soul perspective allows us to see things differently – and we always see a more inclusive, universal picture. This expanded view adds to an understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of life.

If I insist on hanging on to a personality perspective that is contrary to a soul perspective, the two perspectives will clash. This challenges me to find a way through to a deeper truth than I previously knew. This kind of tension between soul and personality positions is typical of the prelude to transformation that is a vital part of the soul journey.

The Creative Life: Cat’s Angel Message for March 2, 2020

March Theme: Manifesting our dreams and goal requires focus and clarity. By working on self-love we find the inner peace needed to navigate our path like a pro.

To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong. – Joseph Chilton Pearce

32: It is through enthusiasm and creative energy that we are able to make amazing things like new opportunities happen.  The month of March is also a time of fertility and new growth which are produced through our creative side. When we allow ourselves the freedom to access our creative mind and energy we find that we are able to open the doors to change and are better equipped and able to adapt to the gifts it brings. We also find that it helps us to share more of ourselves with others which also brings blessings and opportunities. Stay open to embracing new ideas, creative solutions and even those valuable AH-HA moments. Remember creativity inspires everything that it touches and creates hope from darkness.

Today’s Spiritual Helpers include:

Archangel Jophiel, the angel of Illumination and wisdom, fills us with beautiful, loving thoughts and uplifting energy which helps us to create a fresh approach to life. Jophiel tells us that goodness and beauty surround us all the time. By keeping ourselves open to receiving these blessings it draws the things we need directly to us. This is a reminder that slowing down activates our creative mind and makes these things easier to visualize and grasp and by taking the time to “smell the roses” the attitude of gratitude flows more easily.

The Ascended Master Maitreya (Laughing Buddha) helps us to find peace and harmony through laughter, this gives us a clear perspective and keeps our energy flowing. He tells us that laughter is sacred and when the heart is alive with joy we are connected to the Infinite and filled with Nirvana-essence. Center your mind with the intent of enjoying yourself and you will find yourself centered in the moment. Enjoy what life has to offer and enjoy the process!

The Welsh Goddess Cerridwen uses her cauldron “Amen” to help provide us with knowledge, wisdom, personal rebirth and inspiration. remember that change brings us the transformation that we need. She reminds us “The opportunity for your own transformation lies before you. It provides you the chance to spread your wings and grow. Look into my sacred cauldron and see the vision of your path unfolding before you.”

Our Sacred Stones for today include:

Carnelian is used for motivation and increased creativity. It teaches us to trust in ourselves and helps us find creative solutions to current issues as it boosts self esteem and invites us to embrace our personal power while promoting positive life choices which enhance our ability to draw new forms of prosperity and abundance.

While Garnet is best known as a stone of protection it can benefit the use of our natural talents as well. It helps us to overcome any resistance we may have in using our gifts and promotes self-confidence. Garnet removes what no longer serves and mental self-sabotage. It promotes balance and clears and re-energizes the chakras.

Moonstone, the stone of new beginnings. This beautiful, watery stone helps to navigate the cycles of change and calms our emotions. Gently encouraging creative thinking and creative problem solving as it brings our intuitive skills forward, promoting control and confidence so these skills become more familiar and easier to access.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

– Thalassa Cruso

_____________________________________
March is in present time held to be the third month of the year in both the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It is one of the seven months which are 31 days long.

March in the Northern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of September in the Southern Hemisphere.

In the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological spring is 1 March. In the Southern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological autumn is 1 March.

March starts on the same day of the week as November every year and February in common years only. March ends on the same day of the week as June every year. In leap years, March starts on the same day as September and December of the previous year. In common years, March starts on the same day as June of the previous year.

The name of March comes from ancient Rome, when March was the first month of the year and named Martius after Mars or Ares, the Greek god of war. In Rome, where the climate is Mediterranean, March was the first month of spring, a logical point for the beginning of the year as well as the start of the military campaign season. January became the first month of the calendar year either under King Numa Pompilius (c. 713 BC) or under the Decemvirs about 450 BC (Roman writers differ). The numbered year began on March 1 in Russia until the end of the 15th century. Great Britain and its colonies continued to use March 25 until 1752, which was when they ultimately adopted the Gregorian calendar. Many other cultures and religions still celebrate the beginning of the New Year in March.

___________________________________________

The name Ostara goes back to Jacob Grimm, who, in his Deutsche Mythologie, speculated about an ancient German goddess Ostara, after whom the Easter festival (German: Ostern) could have been named. Grimm’s main source is De temporum ratione by the Venerable Bede. Bede had put forward the thesis that the Anglo-Saxon name for the month of April, Eostur-monath, was named after a goddess Eostre. Ostara is one of the four lesser Wiccan holidays or sabbats of the Wheel of the Year. Ostara is celebrated on the spring equinox, in the Northern hemisphere around March 21 and in the Southern hemisphere around September 23, depending upon the specific timing of the equinox.

Among the Wiccan sabbats, it is preceded by Imbolc and followed by Beltane. In the book Eight Sabbats for Witches by Janet and Stewart Farrar, the festival Ostara is characterized by the rejoining of the Mothe Goddess and her lover-consort-son, who spent the winter months in death. Other variations include the young God regaining strength in his youth after being born at Yule, and the Goddess returning to her Maiden aspect. Ostara is the virgin Goddess of spring. This holiday concerns the deity’s trip to the underworld, and their struggle to return from the Land of the Dead to Earth. When they accomplish this return, they have a life renewed. It was considered bad luck to wear anything new before Ostara, so the people would work through the winter in secret to make elegant clothes for the Sabbat celebration.

The entire community would gather for games, feasting, and religious rituals while showing off their clothing. The modern belief that eggs are delivered by a rabbit known as the Easter Bunny comes from the legend of the Goddess Eostre. So much did a lowly rabbit want to please the Goddess that he laid the sacred eggs in her honor, gaily decorated them, and humbly presented them to her. So pleased was she that she wished all humankind to share in her joy. In honor of her wishes, the rabbit went through the entire world and distributed these little decorated gifts of life”

You Can Move The World: Cat’s Angel Message for March 1, 2020

March Theme: Manifesting our dreams and goal requires focus and clarity. By working on self-love we find the inner peace needed to navigate our path like a pro.

Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world. – Archimedes

31: As we start the new month the Ascended Masters want us to know that “The world needs fewer instigators and more peacemakers.” Their message is one of love and peace and while this may sound like a throwback from the 1960s, its energy is powerful and one that we should freely embrace.  The concept of unity and community should top the list of priorities and by allowing peace to enter our lives we can set an example for others and ourselves too. It’s important to note that the Ascended Masters are not saying that we shouldn’t stand up for ourselves or for what’s right. If a stand need to be made do so. You can still be firm in your stance while promoting peace.

Today’s Spiritual Helpers include:

Archangel Raguel helps us when we are faced with standing our ground. He can show us the path to resolving disputes and arguments in a peaceful manner. He also acts as a motivational coach when we feel down on ourselves and he loves to help the underdog.

The Ascended Master Mother Mary provides us with all forms of healing. She surrounds us with her gentle energy and helps to fill our hearts with love as she imparts feelings of peace and safety as she gently heals the dark, hidden places within while showing us the path that leads to compassion and forgiveness which are essential to healing ourselves and helping others.

The Hindu Mother Goddess Durga teaches us how to create boundaries and maintain them as well as protecting yourself from the negative energy of others. She says: ” Personal boundaries are important to your well being. It is sometimes best to walk away. I can help you to step back and give you the self assurance to do what is in your best interest.”

Our Sacred Stones for today include:

Moldavite helps us to connect and communicate with the Ascended Masters.

Rose Quartz brings inner peace and harmony. The energy of this stone is very soothing and can help calm frazzled nerves. It helps to promote the softer, move loving view that we need to embrace gratitude, it soothes and clears the emotions and fills us with loving compassion. It works with the heart chakra to gently wash away negative feelings that we harbor against ourselves and lifts the emotions to promote joy and peace. It opens our hearts and shows us the love in relationships and situations, which helps us find a balancing point

Rhodonite. This gentle stone helps to balance both mental and physical energy. It shows us all sides to any given situation and clears away confusion and helps to promote confidence. Its calming influence helps us to ground and balance even during chaotic or upsetting situations. It also helps to promote the feeling of brotherhood.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

Trust and Faith: Cat’s Angel Message for February 29, 2020

daily Angel Message sms

Trust and Faith: Cat’s Angel Message for February 29, 2020

February’s Theme: Trusting in the “unseen” and believing in yourself puts you on the path to manifesting your dreams and goals.

Trust your own inner guidance. Have faith that your steps are carrying you toward your dreams. Keep your eyes on the heavens and believe that your feet will carry you well. – Jonathan Lockwood Huie

229:  We are ending the month with a positive reminder of our February theme. Trust in the Universe and have faith in yourself as the creator of your hopes and dreams. If you are feeling that you have lost something then you probably have. Remember that change and growth require us to let go of what we have outgrown. When we willingly let something go we are extending an invitation to something better to take its place.  These things relate to your path and even if you are not ready to jump in fully the baby steps you have been taking are getting you started and keeping you going. Today we are leading others by example. People can see the progress you have made and are able to put it to use on their own path. Today is a great day to let others see how far you have come!

Today’s Spiritual Helpers include:

Archangel Uriel helps us to let go of the past and invite essential new growth into our lives. He helps us to find harmony in the things going on around us and reminds us that letting go is essential for change and transformation to take place. Today is a good day to simply touch base with him, ask for help if needed or simply express gratitude for the blessings taking place in your life.

The Himalayan Ascended Master Babaji helps us to achieve the personal and spiritual growth necessary for the letting go process. He assists us in detaching ourselves from both material things and things that no longer serve us. He teaches us that letting go is a form of simplifying your life. It frees your energy so that you can work on what’s important so that new blessings can be received.

The Egyptian goddess Isis reminds us that growth requires patience and that change and growth are an ongoing part of life. “Be grateful for the baby steps that move you along your path, for they are milestones on your inner journey. Celebrate these steps and appreciate every kindness shown as they are all part of a grand celebration!”

Today’s Sacred Stones include:

Apophyllite promotes a strong connection between the physical body and the information that is transmitted from the spiritual realms. It also helps to bring Universal love into the decision making process so that mind and spirit are connected.

Green Calcite also helps to create harmony which allows us to dissolve rigid beliefs and outdated programming. It promotes mental balance, aids in communication and gently helps us to let go of the things that no longer serve us which helps us to draw the good things into our lives that encourage growth.
( Calcite can also be used to promote the balance of your chakras. When our chakras are in balance it’s easier to live the attitude of gratitude.)

Pink Kunzite is a feel-good stone that helps us to go with the flow. It brings feelings of peace as it connects us to universal love as it removes obstacles from our path and promotes communication on all levels.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

LOOK INSIDE FOR DIRECTION

“If you see your path laid out in front of you — Step one, Step two, Step three — you only know one thing… it is not your path. Your path is created in the moment of action. If you can see it laid out in front of you, you can be sure it is someone else’s path. That is why you see it so clearly.”
— Joseph Campbell

What? No one to follow? Now that’s a scary thought!

And yet, that’s what life asks each of us to do – to chart our own path. We are each unique. We’re told our uniqueness is our gift to the world. And so why would we even want to follow in someone else’s footsteps?

Can we trust ourselves to carve our own trail?

The Capacity To Receive: Cat’s Angel Message for February 28, 2020

February’s Theme: Trusting in the “unseen” and believing in yourself puts you on the path to manifesting your dreams and goals.

Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it. – Rabindranath Tagore

228:  As the month winds down we are being reminded that it’s more than okay to allow yourself to receive the gifts and blessings that the Universe has to offer. Sometimes we get so caught up in giving to others that when it becomes our turn to receive we kind of freak out and think or say something like ” Oh no, that’s okay!” or “I don’t deserve that!” By turning away good things that are offered we can slip out of balance and find our energy bottled up. But when we allow ourselves to receive with grace and gratitude doors open up to an amazing flow of abundance and growth. Allow yourself to receive today and allow this energy to come full circle.

Today’s Spiritual Helpers include:

Archangel Haniel showers us with stardust, illuminating our thoughts and memories so that we can remember what magickal beings we truly are, which assists us in the creation process. In turn, this shows us how to receive with grace and gratitude. This process accelerates when we allow beauty and harmony to surround us. It’ helps us to enjoy ourselves which makes blessings easier to receive.

The Ascended Master Buddha helps us to find our “Attitude of Gratitude”.By acknowledging what we have to be grateful for we are filled with joy and inner peace which encourages positive flow. He also reminds us of the important balance between giving and receiving. When we are balanced we find the patience and inner peace we need to go with the flow and can help us embrace the “Tiny Miracles” in our lives as well.

The Hindu Goddess Lakshmi teaches us that good things happen when we embrace the world with a grateful and appreciative heart. She tells us ” You are worthy of so many wonderful things but first you must get out of your own way! Let me help you to clear the way so that these gifts can be given to you. Make room and feel the lightness it creates within your spirit.”

Our Sacred Stones for today include:

Aventurine teaches us how to give and receive gracefully. Both are necessary for healthy relationships with self and others and it allows the Universe to care for you. Aventurine also helps to dispel the anger and irritation that sometimes arise when we are stuck in the “what I lack” mind loop.

Chalcedony brings mind, body, spirit, and emotions into harmony by calming fear, anger or self-doubt. It also promotes good feelings towards self and others.

Unakite. This green and pink stone helps us to see blocks that we have erected within ourselves and then provides valuable insights on removing them so that we can move forward. It helps us to appreciate the present moment and works with both base and heart chakras.

Bright blessings for a magickal day!

Thought For The Day: Feb. 28, 2020 “Trading What If”

Happy Friday,

Life has its share of complicated questions. We are often our own worst enemy by making things MORE complicated than they need to be and overthinking is the culprit. By overthinking causes us to get caught up in “Swamp of What If” and it’s easy to get stuck there. Today’s quote goes hand in hand with yesterday’s. Remember, we can’t control everything and by letting things be the answers we seek will show up.

Spirit Library: Pisces ~ Energy of the Month

a message from Kelly M. Beard

As we enter the current Pisces energy, many people will be feeling more sensitive than usual, picking up all kinds of information via all six senses. Over-sensitivity that disrupts your flow and takes you away from your center is one thing, but a better way to think of this energy is to ponder the concept of how sound penetrates when you put your head under water.

Daily Good: Accepting What Is

“When the word acceptance enters a room, but is never far behind. But what about suffering and injustice? What about the pursuit of our personal goals? What about our individual and collective potential? As soon as the idea of acceptance surfaces, we seem to, ironically, brace ourselves against it as though it will render us incapable of anything other than complacency and apathy.” This thoughtful passage explores other ways of approaching acceptance. { read more }

Elephant Journal: Screw Gratitude: Why we All Need an “It’s Not Fair” Journal Instead.

I remember sitting on the couch in my therapist’s office, my simple, lined journal open in my lap with the attached ribbon bookmark perfectly placed like the good patient I was.
Each week was like this: I would write down things I wanted to discuss throughout the week, and we would approach each topic as if it were an item on a grocery list.

Patheos-Pagan: The Wortcunner, the Witch, and the Plant Spirits

It is rumored in folklore that the witches of days gone by where taught the wisdom of the wortcunner, herbal lore and ways taught by the magickal folk… the fae, elves, and spirits of the wood. The word wortcunner is defined by the word Wort meaning “root,” or herb,” and cunning (from the Middle English cunnen) meaning “to know.”

SMART QUESTIONS TO KEEP HANDY

“Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”
— Anthony Robbins

Last time, we talked about questions to avoid. Today, let’s consider some that are truly empowering:
• Is there a message for me in this experience?
• What’s the gift in this situation?
• What can I learn from this?
• What’s the most loving thing I could do now?
• What’s the most important thing for me to focus on now?
• What would I do if I knew I could not fail?
• What would I do if there were nothing to fear?

“A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.”

A Note from the Universe

You know how sometimes when you visualize you end up daydreaming, too?

Or when you finally remember to perform an act of faith, it feels kind of hokey?

Or sometimes you catch yourself worrying, or thinking too much about the past, or wondering whether or not you have invisible limiting beliefs holding you back?

Well, that’s exactly what all Illuminates go through (especially the good-looking ones). But they arrive in spite of it, and so will you.

Worry not; just keep chugging.

Hugs,
The Universe

Sharing

“Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed and hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world.”

-John Lennon (1940-1980)

With the world in such a state of flux, it might be difficult to imagine ALL the people sharing all the world… but it is not impossible. There’s a saying: “Think Globally, Act Locally.” If we each started there, kind of a “grass roots” or “backyard” approach, imagine the impact we could make house by house, neighborhood by neighborhood, community by community.
