11:33 pm PST (Feb 8th) / 12:33 am MST (Feb 9th) / 2:33 am EDT (Feb 9th)
On February 18th/9th we celebrate the “Quickening Moon”. The moon will be sitting in the constellation of Leo which brings passion, courage and renewed energy. Other names for this moon are the Snow Moon, Trappers Moon, Budding Moon, Moon When Trees Pop, Ice Moon, Storm Moon, Hunger Moon, Horning Moon, Big Winter Moon. The first signs of spring are beginning to show and you actually feel the earth waking up. The energy is dense and slow, it’s a time for new life and rebirth. At this time of year, people are tired of being cooped up. They miss the light and warmth of the sun and like the sleeping plants find themselves reaching for a new beginning.
The moon will be sitting in the constellation of Leo which brings passion, courage and renewed energy. This is a good time for magical workings that focus on personal advancement and achievement. On a personal level work on plans for your future. What do you hope for and what dreams do you hold inside yourself? These are the things to consider as you set goals for yourself. The key is to be willing to accept responsibility for past mistakes and be mature enough to let them go and move on. Dare to dream and hope as you look into the future.
To honor this moon try wearing colors in shades of blue and purples and adorn yourself with Sacred Stones like Rose Quartz, Amethyst and earthy Jaspers.

Faith or Fear: Cat’s Angel Message for February 7, 2020
February’s Theme: Trusting in the “unseen” and believing in yourself puts you on the path to manifesting your dreams and goals.
Faith is trusting in the good.Fear is putting your trust in the bad.– Rhonda Byrne
27: Our daily readings focus quite often on faith. Faith isn’t inherent to just one religion it encompasses them all, including spirituality. While we can have faith in many things one of the most important things to have is faith in ourselves. Our personal faith enhances our intuition and helps us to have a better understanding of self, and our inner workings. Remember that the Universe and the angels are here to helps us but we must be willing to do our part. (This sounds familiar… right?) This is where faith in yourself comes into play and the stronger your faith the more you can create. Today the Universe is asking us to surround ourselves with our faith and remain open to the guidance and messages that you receive. Allow yourself to move forward with grace and an optimistic outlook!
Today’s Spiritual Guides include: Archangel Haniel showers us with stardust, illuminating our thoughts and memories so that we can remember what magickal beings we truly are, which assists us in the creation process. In turn, this shows us how to receive with grace and gratitude. This process accelerates when we allow beauty and harmony to surround us. It’ helps us to enjoy ourselves which makes blessings easier to receive.
The Ascended Master Saint Germain helps us to persevere in our personal quests and provides us with courage and direction. He teaches us how to clear the way and free our minds from worry so that we can work on more important things and shows us the way to comfortably interact with people who can help us achieve our goals.
The Hindu Goddess White Tara embodies the beauty of Divine love and shows us the path to strengthening or restoring our faith. She says: “Come and sit beside me. I will help ease the worry in your heart and teach you how to replace it with gratitude and joy. This is where faith dwells and we must only open the doors and invite it forward.”
Our Sacred Stones for today include:
Crazy Lace Agate gently boosts our self confidence and concentration while reestablishing our overall feelings of wholeness and well-being. It’s an excellent grounding stone that helps to bring balance between our negative and positive emotions.
Amazonite. This stone is sometimes called the stone of hope. It helps us to speak our truth with confidence and instills us with hope itself. It calms and soothes frayed nerves during times of stress and helps us to feel and embrace universal love. It works with both heart and throat chakras.
Mookite, a form of Jasper that comes in many creamy color combinations, promotes decision making and versatility. These things are important when we are faced with new experiences and find ourselves faced with the need to take action. It encourages us to be flexible during times of change and helps us to embrace new experiences with an open sense of adventure.
Bright blessings for a magickal day!
I invite you to share my work as long as no changes are made and to check out my websites:
Emotional health is a hot topic that everyone is talking about. I’m old enough to remember the days when this subject was taboo. People spoke about emotional health in whispered tones like it was a dirty secret. Newsflash….. it’s not. We can offer guidance to someone who is struggling. We can’t fix them, that’s not our job, but we can listen and offer suggestions. Remember, you are responsible for your own emotional wellbeing. If you need help then seek it out. you have the strength and courage to do so. If you need to have space and take time for yourself (and NO your not being selfish!) make it happen. The people who want what’s best for you will understand. Embrace your inner healer today and make yourself a priority.
Good Morning Beautiful Souls, grab a cup of your favorite morning brew and start things off with “Today’s Inspirations”. I hope you find something here that will make you feel good or help you on your path today.
Blessings, Cat

He came of draft age exactly as America was entering the war in Vietnam, told us he had no intention of getting drafted and then made good on his promise by baking bread for members of the Draft Board the morning he had to appear. There, he ceremoniously cut his loaf into generous slices and handed each member of the Board a well-buttered slice, telling them that his reasons for wanting Conscientious Objector status was baked into his bread! “I could try and say it in words,” he told them, “but tasting my bread will say it much better than I could.” Carolyn North shares more in this moving tribute to her brother. { read more }

________________________ Patheos-Pagan: The Spiritual Benefits Of Being A Hermit
Every winter, I turn into a modern-day hermit. It’s a practice I’ve come to accept about myself, even though it goes against the social norms and peer pressure to always be doing something. I’ve learned to make the most of these times, and I feel there are so many spiritual benefits to being a hermit.
“Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.”
— Stephen Vincent Benet
What’s needed for a new relationship with time and life?
Intention — Get really clear about what you want.
Desire — How much do you want something new for yourself? Know your motivation. Desire brings the energy for change.
Belief and/or willingness to trust you can have what you want. If belief is lacking, can you believe in the possibility that you can find a new way of living?
Perseverance, discipline — It takes time and effort to change attitudes and habits. We can’t expect a new life overnight.
Acceptance, both of what’s happening now and of who we are. Until we honestly and openly accept our present situation, we cannot change it.
A willingness to try something new.
“It is so easy to waste our lives: our days, our hours, our minutes. … It is so easy to exist instead of live. Unless you know there is a clock ticking. So many of us changed our lives when we heard a biological clock and decided to have kids. But that sound is a murmur compared to the tolling of mortality.”

A Note from the Universe
You wouldn’t believe the stuff people think they want.
Just the other day someone was asking for a llama.
Nothing wrong with llamas, I have a few myself, but the llama he wants is supposed to help him with his business; schlepping stuff over mountains, they’re good for that.
Now, why do you suppose he didn’t just ask for a pickup truck?
Trust me, he could’ve asked for a pickup truck and he’d have been a lot happier.
So… I’m off to the bazaar. In the meantime, should you need anything, please be sure to ask for what you really want.

Courage
“Fearlessness is the first requisite of spirituality.”
-Mohandas K. Gandhi (1869-1948)
The Course in Miracles says that basically everything can be divided up into two choices, fear or love. And ultimately, it is all just love because fear is really just the absence of love. So, if fearlessness is courage, then courage is love. Courage is strength. It’s the ability to call upon the strength and love that it inherent within each one of us, to bring it forth, to let it shine.

February’s Theme: Trusting in the “unseen” and believing in yourself puts you on the path to manifesting your dreams and goals.
Increase of material comforts,it may be generally laid down, does not in any way whatsoeverconduce to moral growth.– Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi
26: Today’s world tends to revolve around material things. people are obsessed with having the best, the latest, the most expensive and the most “things”. By allowing these things to control our lives it takes up valuable time and energy. Today the angels are gently reminding us that happiness and success are not created by “the things you have”. They are created by what you have within.
Step away from the material today and look for your inner peace and harmony. These are the things you must have in order to achieve true happiness and success.
Take time to look at your life and be grateful for what you have. By doing this it allows us to see and receive blessings and opportunities that might otherwise miss out on.
Today’s Spiritual Helpers include: Archangel Jeremiel is in charge of life reviews and changes. He can help you see everything that you have accomplished recently as well as the areas that need attention and helps us to let go of what we no longer need. He teaches us that by taking inventory of our lives we gain a clear perspective of where we are on our path, which in turn helps us to make positive life changes. He removes our fear of change and what the future holds and replaces them with a sense of expectant excitement.
The Ascended Master Vywamus encourages us to continuously and consciously seek inspiration through the discovery and rediscovery of our own natural abilities and talents. He teaches us that healing can be found in change. If something is holding you back he can teach you how to let it go or let it be so you can continue moving forward.
The Hindu Goddess Devi helps us to find meaning in our lives and gently guides us in learning to follow our own inner wisdom. She says “Take my hand and let me guide you on your journey of self discovery. You need only look within to find your true meaning. Release your cares to me and I will purify your heart and spirit so that new information can be sent to you. ”

This sky blue stone also helps to ease our obsession for material things and shows us how to put things into perspective so that you manifest what you really need. It shows us how to go with the flow.
Peridot brings new levels of awareness as it promotes growth and necessary change as it helps to sharpen the mind and enhance our self confidence. Peridot can teach us to look back at the past and find the gifts that are hidden within our experiences and then shows us the path to forgiveness and moving forward.
Unakite. This green and pink stone helps us to see blocks that we have erected within ourselves and then provides valuable insights on removing them so that we can move forward.
Bright blessings for a magickal day!
I invite you to share my work as long as no changes are made and to check out my websites:
Feeling anxious? At odds? Out of sorts? Confused? Then maybe it’s time to step back and be still. Take a deep breath. Ground yourself. Just breathe and focus on your breath. Let yourself be at ease. Natural Living ideas: How To Grow Luffa & Turn Them Into Sponges
Luffa (sometimes spelt loofah or loofa), otherwise known as a ridge gourd, is a popular fruit to grow in the garden, but often not for food, but for making sponges.
Much of the marketing of luffas, shows the sponge in a seaside setting, surrounded by pretty shells and the like, leading many to believe they’re some kind of “Sponge Bob,” or the remains of an ocean creature, but they’re actually the fibrous flesh of the mature luffa gourd.
As spring arrives, our gardens begin to bud and eventually bloom. For hundreds of years, the plants that we grow have been used in magic. Flowers, in particular, are often connected with a variety of magical uses
The word February has been derived from the word ‘februa’, which translates to purification and cleansing, adapted from the Roman ‘Festival of Purification’, and muses pre-Spring rituals. ‘Februo’ literally means ‘I purify by sacrifice’.

Daily Good: Meaning and the Song of the Soul
“Meaning is what calls from the depths of the soul.
It is the song that sings us into life. Whether we have a meaningful life depends upon whether we can hear this song, this primal music of the sacred. The sacred is not something primarily religious or even spiritual. It is not a quality we need to learn or to develop. It belongs to the primary nature of all that is. When our ancestors knew that everything they could see was sacred, this was not something taught but instinctively known. It was as natural as sunlight, as necessary as breathing. It is a fundamental recognition of the wonder, beauty and divine nature of the world. And from this sense of the sacred, real meaning is born, the meaning that makes our hearts sing with the deepest purpose of being alive.” Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee shares more in this beautiful passage. { read more }

At present, the waxing gibbous moon is bright enough to erase many stars from the blackboard of night. But you’ll likely still see the two bright Gemini “twins” – the stars Castor and Pollux – in the moon’s glare. Another bright star is nearby; it’s Procyon, brightest star in the constellation Canis Minor the Lesser Dog, also known as the Little Dog Star.
This is a post that originally appeared on the 3 Pagans and a Cat website on June 20th, 2018. It was an attempt to put devotion, faith, and the experience of the divine into language. It was an attempt at expressing the numinous. I am no more able to describe the experience it attempts to convey now than I was then. Some things just are. You’ll know them when you feel them.
“Time is life. It is irreversible and irreplaceable. To waste your time is to waste your life, but to master your time is to master your life and make the most of it.”
— Alan Lakein
Refuse to feel USED by life! Make full use of it instead.
To do this, we initially need to take control of the time of our lives. Time management is life management, from the inside out. It’s an INSIDE job. You already have everything you need. You have the power to create a life of meaning, fulfillment and joy.
Your challenge is to find what works for you! Review the literature but make your own decisions. To do this, you’ll need to:
Get to know yourself — your desires and passions, rhythms, styles, challenges, needs and habits.
Be aware that you always have choice. Claim your independence and power to choose what is right for your life, moment by moment.

Courage
“Courage: to bear unflinchingly what heaven sends.”
-Euripides (485?-406 B.C.)
Courage is such a big word when we think about all that it means and all that it represents. There’s the courage it takes to fight for what we believe in. There’s the courage that we find when we need the strength to face adversity. We think of courage as being associated with heroes – and yet we all have the capacity to be courageous. We can all be heroes.

Danger may not lurk within every single shadow, but a small misstep can sometimes cause problems that are way out of proportion to the cause.

It’s Simple: Cat’s Angel Message for February 5, 2020
February’s Theme: Trusting in the “unseen” and believing in yourself puts you on the path to manifesting your dreams and goals.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.– Confucius
25: Change is an ongoing part of life and without it, life would be pretty boring. The way we see these changes is based on our perception. If we see these changes in a negative light it can create difficulties for us. But if we look for something positive in them then we grow in unimagined ways. If you are experiencing changes right now or changes are on your horizon the angels want you to know that things are going according to your divine plan and that these changes truly are for the best. They will bring you a much needed overhaul and a fresh outlook. So have faith in yourself and remember that the Universe is on your side and that you are safe and protected. Embrace these changes and flourish in this new cycle! Our keywords for today are “Change- Flow- Growth”
Today’s Spiritual Guides include: Archangel Uriel can help us to overcome obstacles by showing us where the solutions are that will lead to our success. He provides us with additional information that we need to make the most informed decisions we can. No problem is too great or too small for him to assist with. Uriel also helps us to gain spiritual understanding and creative insight. Today is a good day to simply touch base with him, ask for help if needed or simply express gratitude for the blessing in your life.
The Ascended Master Melchizedek helps to diffuse unpleasant situations that change sometimes creates. He teaches us that peace and healing can be found through color, so pay attention to the colors that draw you or feel relevant.
The Hawaiian goddess Pele reminds us that “Within you lives the sacred fire that gives life to your greatest dreams and passions. This part of you must be allowed to come forward, not smothered beneath fear, resentment or the expectations of others. Your fire will help you forge new paths!”
Our Sacred Stones for today include:
Okenite which can be used to help clear away obstacles and teaches us that the universe is filled with unlimited possibilities when allowing ourselves to face and adapt to change. It helps us to find our inner strength so that we can finish what we start and helps replace bad habits with good ones.
Orange Calcite helps us to embrace our own power and the abilities we possess while eliminating self defeating thinking. It also helps to balance the emotions and calm our fears so that we can work through problems and temporary setbacks so we may reach our full potential.
Chrysocolla. This powerful blue-green stone helps us during periods of change and challenging times. It brings smooth transitions and helps us to accept change with serenity and calm. It helps us to be more self aware and promotes self confidence that inspires both creativity and motivation.

“If we want to be compassionate we must be conscious of the words we use. We must both speak and listen from the heart.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg
Conscious communication requires us to be truly present to what is occurring. When we are unconscious, we both speak to and react to others out of habit. And in the face of what we perceive as someone’s judgment and criticism, we automatically (and unconsciously) defend, withdraw or attack.
To communicate consciously requires attention to two areas:
1. I need to speak from awareness of what I am perceiving, feeling and needing, and
2. Through watching and listening, I need to be aware of those same needs in others.
“When we focus on clarifying what is being observed, felt, and needed rather than on diagnosing and judging, we discover the depth of our own compassion.”

“Courage charms us because it indicates that a man loves an idea better than all things in the world, that he is thinking neither of his bed, not his dinner, nor his money, but will venture all to put in act the invisible thought of his mind.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Courage is attractive! What made Prince Charming so charming? His courage! The way that he fought dragons and witches and wouldn’t let anything get in his way as he worked towards his goal.
